Another Quick but Cute Scalloped Note Card

The Creative Escape is tomorrow and yes, I am rushed as usual so I needed a quick card---so I created Another Quick but Cute Scalloped Note Card!

This time I picked (I only have to choose from 4 colors!) the Balmy Blue card. I decided I liked the white contrast under the scalloped edge so I used white to decorate the top. Instead of Designer Paper I used the Crackle Paint stamp which is totally awesome for just about any card design--from fancy to rustic! Here's the result... Scalloped note card daisy

I also used a Perennial Essence Floral Center for the Daisy center--they are so cute--they add dimension and are a fuzzy fun textile to add to your card.

I'm going to give you the brief directions for this note card followed by the Supply List. You can hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images below and you'll be in my store. You can order your supplies to create these cute cards.

Remember:

*If you place an online order and use this month's Host code (B92RHQRC) you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up! product for each $50 in product that you purchase.

*And in July, for each $50 in product that you purchase you'll receive via email a $5 coupon from Stampin'Up! (shipping & tax are excluded).  Be sure your correct email address is in your account (and that I have your currect email address) so that you receive your coupon.  You can spend your coupons in August.

Directions:

1. Open the note card so you stamp only on the front. Stamp the Crackle Paint in Balmy Blue.

2. Stamp "Love to Celebrate You" (Butterfly Wishes #145346) in Memento ink on Shimmery white cardstock; punch out with Tailored Tag punch. Attach to card front with dimensionals. Add 3 small rhinestones.

3. Punch 2 Medium Daisies--adhere together with mini dimensionals and use a dimensional to adhere to card front; Add Perennial Essence Floral Center to daisy center.

Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper

Today we'll create a card using Perennial Esssence Designer Series Paper that looks like a million dollar card! 6-18-19 Blog Perennial Essence DSP card

Isn't that gorgeous...and it only takes a couple of minutes to create this beauty because the designer paper does all that hard work for us. This paper is designed from a painting that has been transformed into this gloriously rich set of papers...each of the six designs is a stand-alone piece. In class this past weekend the ladies thought it was reminiscent of Monet's work.

I have to say that it was very difficult for me to make that first cut--once I accomplished the first cut and saw how awesome it looked on the actual card I was ok with the cutting. So I completely understand the angst of that first cut! (My recommendation is to purchase 2 packs---one to "keep" so I'll always have it and the other one to actually use.) Some day I might be able to cut into that first pack but today I just need to know I own it. (If you are not a conn0isseur of Designer Paper you will most likely not understand how I feel about "ownership"--LOL)

I will give you the step by step  directions for creating this lovely simple card and they I'll provide the supply list.  Hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images and you'll be in my store--order your supplies now and you can create this  card yourself.

Remember, when you place an online order if you use this month's Host Code (9EAGCTMM) you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up! product from me for each $50 in product that you purchase.

Directions for card:

1. Cut Blushing Bride cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base)

2. Cut Shimmery White cardstock 5 1/8 X 3 7/8, adhere to card base front with liquid glue.

3. Cut Perennial Essence designer paper (pick your favorite pattern) 3 3/4 X 5; adhere to card front with liquid glue.

4. Using Wink of Stella, highlight the brushstrokes on a few of the flowers (you can't see this in the picture)---this will bring those flowers to life.

5. Cut 'Happy' from Sparkle Glimmer paper (die from Word Wishes die set); adhere to card front with liquid glue. Add 3 pink rhinestones (Noble Peacock rhinestones) around Happy.

Secret Trick with the Stampin'Up! Take Your Pick Tool

Today I'm going to show you a Secret Trick with the Stampin'Up! Take Your Pick Tool!

This is the great new tool we have to use for multiple tasks--pick up sequins, pierce out tiny pieces from dies, scoring with the stylus, scoop off embellishments that land in the wrong place...that's all very  handy.

Have you ever been wet embossing--you've rubbed the stamping area with your embossing buddy (to remove finger print oils or other moisture--to keep the powder just adhering to the inked image). Then you stamp your image in Versamark, sprinkle on the the embossing powder, flick off the excess and then.....yep there's a tiny spot of embossing powder right where you do NOT want it! Dang...and things were going great until then.  This is what I'm talking about..see just to the right above the "s"Excess embossing powder

Well, listen up--this is a great fix for you! Take the putty end of your Take Your Pick....looks like this... Putty

Then gently dab up the excess powder.... Picking it up

And this is the "after"----all gone! After
FABULOUS!!! Now you are ready to heat with the Heat Tool and your embossing will look perfect.

Now take your Paper Snips and just clip off the very end of the putty and you are ready for your next task with your Take Your Pick tool.  There's just a never-ending use for this super tool. One of the really great features is that you only need the one base tool and all the "tools" are simply screwed into an end...the piercing end and the stylus are both on the same part--just unscrew from your base tool, flip to the other end and screw back into the base. You are ready for the next task!

And...there's a new accessory for the tool...it's a Die Brush Tip (#149655)---I can' wait to put that baby to work!

Order yours today...hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images below and you'll be in my store....

*If you place an online order and enter this month's Host Code (9EAGCTMM) you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up'! product for each $50 in product that you purchase.
