Creating with New Stampin'Up! In Colors & Botanical Layers

Today we're Creating with New Stampin'Up! In Colors & Botanical Layers! The new In Colors will be with us for two years and that's great news since they are absolutely beautiful especially during the summer when we are creating florals and summery images.

Our creations this week are designed by Debbie Crivello, one of our Dream Team members for this season. This week's projects will be the last Dream Team contributions for this season...

Here's Debbie's first design for this week...

Wreath - inside

Debbie chose the Botanical Layers stamp set to feature in this card and is using Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, and Orchid Oasis--all of these are new In Colors. These deliver a very fresh summery image.

In the directions below Debbie gives you the secret to creating a perfectly circular wreath using the small greenery stamp...by following her directions yours stamping will also result in a perfect wreath!

Those precious little butterflies are dies from our Brilliant Wings dies--they are just the perfect size for this wreath.

The verse is completed with heat embossing with Craft White ink which really pops on the Orchid Oasis label.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Stop back Thursday and see Debbie's last design for this season.

Creating the Simplest Most Beautiful Card with Stampin'Up! Split Card Texture Dies

Today we'll be Creating the Simplest Most Beautiful Card with Stampin'Up! Split Card Texture Dies. Tuesday we designed a gorgeous card using the plaid die.. check it out here if you missed it...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/06/a-beautiful-design-using-stampinup-split-card-dies-and-hand-penned-bundle.html

This is today's design...

Double die

and a bit closer..

Double die cuAs you can see, this beauty simply uses the die two times...once in the lower right corner and then again in the upper left corner. This leaves a diagonal center area just perfect for about any greeting you want to use.

This makes the design one of those you can create a stack then just add the greeting when you need the card.

As we mentioned Tuesday, the color combo under the die cuts can be any colors you enjoy--instead of using the Hues of Happiness designer paper you can create your own blend of colors with the Blending Brushes and your favorite inks! Imagine Fresh Freesia and Pacific Point... or Coastal Cabana and Highland Heather...and the combos go on and on.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 1/4

*Lay corner die in lower right corner leaving about 1/16" cardstock showing outside die; put through die machine.

*Lay corner die in upper left corner again leaving about 1/16" cardstock showing outside the die; put through die machine.

*Stamp verse (Heavenly Hollyhocks) in Memento ink in the uncut diagonal strip down the card center.

3.Cut designer paper (Hues of Happiness) 4 1/8 X 5 1/8; adhere to underside of the die cut piece with liquid glue.

4. Adhere this unit to card front with liquid glue.

5. Add Flower Trinkets --2 to each end of the greeting.

A Beautiful Design Using Stampin'Up! Split Card Dies and Hand-penned Bundle

Today I'll show you how to create A Beautiful Design Using Stampin'Up! Split Card Dies and Hand-Penned Bundle. The new die set, Split Card Textures, contains 2 stunning corner designs cutting through the top layer of cardstock revealing the underlayer...this gives  unlimited combinations & choices to make.

Here's the die set.

Today we're using the 'plaid' style...

Handpenneda closer look at the focal point

Handpenned cu

The color wash under the die cut is from the gorgeous  Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. We've been so entranced with the beautiful rose designs in this set that we almost miss the beauty on the 'other' side.  We use this blend of color to select the flower colors. Since our base is white you can select any of the other fantastic blends for more variety.

The die simply sits in the corner of the top layer & after running through the die machine it's a breeze to flip out the waste pieces.

We added a bit more interest by then putting the die cut layer through the Timeworn Type embossing folder--it adding a touch of texture but staying in the background.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Stop back Thursday and we'll be using the other die--one of the simplest (and most beautiful) cards you'll ever create!

    *Use Timeworn Type embossing folder.

3. Cut designer paper (Hues of Happiness) 4 1/8 X 5 1/8; adhere to back of die cut layer using liquid glue. Adhere this unit to card front.

4. Die cut middle stitched circle (Stylish Shapes) from Daffodil cardstock

*Stamp verse in Memento ink (see sample)
*Adhere to top left overlapping cut out area

5. Stamp flowers (Hand-penned stamps) in Memento ink on Basic White cardstock, die cut with corresponding die.

*Color with Blends: Dark Polished Pink, Light/Dark Daffodil Delight, Dark Granny Apple Green. Add Wink of Stella to flowers.

Create a Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Bow Die

Today we're going to Create a Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Bow Die. Tuesday we used this die set to create a Gift Card Holder--if you missed it check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/06/quick-gift-card-holder-using-stampinup-mini-pocket-envelope-dies.html

Today's card  holder is really a simple design but using the awesome bow die designed to fit this pocket envelope just perfectly...you can see the 2 die pieces that we'll be using here--I've marked them on the pieces...

Dies1

Here is the gift card holder using this die set and creating the small bow with these dies...

Petaland a bit closer look at the bow...

Petal cuAs you can see in the die set---it's a very simple process...just bring the 2 ends of the bow body to the back and then loop the top of the "tails" around the middle. I'll give you some helpful hints below in the Directions section.

We've created this using a paper in the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Paper with a matching Petal Pink bow.  So this would most likely go to one of your lady friends or relatives. But if you need one for younger kids you could create it using a paper like Butterfly Kisses; need a guy holder--try one of the Chic papers in Evening Evergreen.

The choices are unlimited and don't forget Christmas is not that far away--imagine all the wonderful gift card holders we can create using Christmas papers.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Roughly cut 6 X 6 Designer paper (Texture Chic); die cut main pocket envelope. Using Tear & Tape form envelope at the bottom and side.

2. Die cut both bow pieces (see photo of die pieces below)

Dies1

3. Using a bone folder slightly curl the 2 bow loops toward the back.

4. Using glue dots adhere the 2 end tabs to the middle bar between the 2 loops thus forming the bow.

5. Wrap the long straight piece of the bow "tail" piece around the middle bar of the bow loops--secure with a glue dot. The bow is complete...adhere this to the top middle of the envelope with a glue dot.

6. Die cut 4 leaves from gold foil; adhere these under the bow with glue dots.

Quick Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Dies

Today we're going to create a Quick Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Dies. I really don't like to just stuff a gift card in a greeting card when giving a gift. I like the presentation to have a bit of pizzazz...well, Stampin'Up! has done a wonderful job creating this cute little Mini Pocket Envelope die..

Here is the main die...

Dies2

and here are the accessory dies--including tags, leaves and there are even dies to create a mini bow...

Dies1

Today we're creating a lovely unisex birthday gift card holder..

Chic2And a bit closer look at the tag...

Chic cu

Since we usually need these quickly we can create a few, leave off the greeting, and just stamp that when the event occurs when we need a quick gift card holder.  The main die easily folds together with Tear & Tape and you're ready to decorate.

You can change the entire 'mood' by choosing a different designer paper for your base--need a kids holder--try using Happy Forest Friends. Need a more "guy" look--use He's the Man. And we can go on and on..the great thing about owning the die is that you can create exactly what you need when you need it. Remember Christmas is only 6 months away and gift card holders are super to have on hand then.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Stop back by Thursday to check out another fun design with this awesome die.

Directions:

1. Roughly cut a 6 X 6 piece of designer paper (Texture Chic Specialty) and die cut using the main envelope die

*Using Tear & Tape, tape the bottom and sides of the die cut together forming the envelope.

2.Die cut the following

    *Large stitched label from Sahara Sand;

Today we're creating More Simply Beautiful Cards with the Stampin'Up! New Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.  Tuesday we created a lovely card with this paper---if you missed it check it out here... https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/05/gorgeous-cards-with-stampinup-new-hues-of-happiness-designer-series-paper.html

Today's card is using the same sheet of designer paper as we used Tuesday. Here's today's creations...

FreesiaAnd a bit closer to see the embellishments...

Freesia cu

Today's design simply adds a border of Gorgeous Grape and a greeting. This stamp set includes several wonderful greetings to meet most needs. We added 3 of the new Fun Flower embellishments to set off the greeting and added a couple of leaf stems to add a bit of pizzazz to the design.

There are 20 cards & envelopes in the Texture Chic Memories & More Cards and Envelopes ($12). This gives you a ton of opportunities to create gorgeous designs without designing the entire card front. No longer do you need to work from scratch but rather you can get right to the fun part of stamps, dies, & layering!

TEXTURE CHIC MEMORIES & MORE CARDS & ENVELOPES

Here's today's fun creation... Shells last

A closer look...

Last cuCan you guess what my latest favorite specialty paper might be? Yep, the Distressed Gold Specialty--it's fairly thin like a designer paper so it die cuts like a charm--and the there's a bit of texture to it by touch and visually. I cut the distressed grid from this paper as well as the Petal Pink shell overlay....absolutely stunning!

The stamped shells in this card are 2-step stamps--for the upper right shell we used pool party for the base shell & Coastal Cabana for the overlay...this gives you the visual depth to the shell. For the lower right shell I used Crumb Cake for the base shell &Soft Suede for the overlay.

Because the base card is ready to go you can achieve this design in about 15 minutes---and don't we all have times when we need a super card but we have little time. Keep a pack of these ready to go cards and envelopes.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (99ZW7X3Q) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the distressed grid (Chic Dies) from Distressed Gold Specialty paper; adhere to card front with glue.

2. Stamp 'thanks' (Texture Chic) in Stazon Saddle Brown ink.

3. Die cut base shell from Petal Pink cardstock; die cut shell overlay from Distressed Gold paper--adhere to shell base with glue.

4. Stamp the shell base in Pool Party ink on Basic White cardstock; stamp the overlay in Coastal Cabana.

*Stamp the shell base in Crumb Cake ink on Basic White cardstock; stamp the overlay in Soft Suede.

    *Die cut both stamped images

*Adhere the Pool shell with one dimensional at the top; adhere the Petal Pink shell with glue; adhere the Crumb Cake shell the 2 dimensionals

5. Cut two 10" lengths of Crumb Cake twine, tie in a double bow and adhere under the pink shell with a glue dot.
