How to Let the Magic of Your'e A Peach Designer Paper Design Your Next Card

Today we're again exploring How to Let the Magic of You're a Peach Designer Paper Design Your Next Card! Tuesday we worked the magic of Sweet Symmetry DSP--if you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2021/07/how-to-let-the-magic-of-in-symmetry-designer-paper-design-your-next-card.html

Today's DSP is You're a Peach

155686

I selected near solid design (has dots), one medium print, and one coordinating small print---they all share Flirty Falmingo with a sprinkling of Old Olive.  This points to a card base of Flirty (with layer of white) and Old Olive with Flirty Flamingo inks for the stamping. See how easy card design is when you start with dsp?

Here's today's creation:

Sweet as a Peach

This design can be utilized for any number of designer papers that have primarily small designs---as with our Tuesday design the larger patterns won't work as well with this because of the small rectangles being used.

Plus this designer paper is also on sale until 8-2-21--order yours while it's on sale!

I'll give you the step by step directions below followed by the Supply List so you can order your supplies to create this card.

Tricks of Using Designer Series Paper to Create Quick Cards

Today I'll be showing you Tricks of Using Designer Series Paper to Create Quick Cards.  Every year Stampin'Up! presents all the colors (50 of them) in packs of color families.  Each color is presented in 4 designs (front & back of 2 papers).

This week we're creating with the Copper Clay in the 2023-2025 In Color pack of DSP...here's the sample of this set of papers...

Screenshot 2024-08-14 160628

Here's today's creation

White

and a bit closer...

White cuOne of the simplest uses of designer paper is to use it as the complete background for your focal point. We selected the white with copper design as our background today. We edged it with a very narrow border of Copper Clay and the card base is white which gives us great contrast.

Our focal point is a simple die cut using the leaves from Changing Leaves Dies (online exclusive product) and putting this cut through the Exposed Brick embossing folder to give it some wonder texture.

We used the large label die in the Changing Leaves set and stamped Happy Birthday from the Simply Said stamp set. We used Copper Clay ink to really coordinate the entire color combo.

To embellish we tied a small bow of Iridescent Striped ribbon for the base of the leaf stem and added 3 small 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle dots...of course, we used the Copper Clay dots.

Simple but really has lots of appeal and can be used with any of the colors in the DSP pack--now that's a nice trick.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday and see what we do with the DSP for another creation!

One More Card Using One Layout with Choose Happy Stamps

Today we're creating One More Card Using One Layout with Choose Happy Stamps. Tuesday we chatted about the versatility of using one layout and one stamp set for multiple occasions throughout the year.  If you missed that card you can check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This is the Choose Happy stamp set...

Screenshot 2024-08-07 102408As we mentioned previously---the mix & match of these sentiments makes this set quite useful for the entire year of greetings. The images are just perfect to pair up for a bit of "happy" to go along with the sentiments.

Here's today's card...

Flower

 here's a bit closer look...

Flower cuFor today's card we began with a basic white base & added a bright & cheery Daffodil layer with the embossed Dotted Circle image...that just makes you happy to look at it.

This looks great but adding that thin black edge around the daffodil really perked it up & made the yellow a bit brighter!

Using this as our standard base (like Tuesday's card) we change the appearance a bit by reducing the size of the border and adding the second one...still the same design but by making these small changes really makes the card appear to be different.

We used the same basic circle..just one size larger &  'floral' border instead of the 'dot dash' border on Tuesday's card. Again, same basic design but a small change gives us a slightly different feel.

This card uses the flower and bumble bee for the focal points. We used 2 of the greetings to form our sentient 'happy birthday." The two different fonts add a lot of interest rather than using just one.

The dash of sparkle was accomplished using the Sparkle Gems in gold.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week  to see what we're creating!

Using Choose Happy Stamps & One Layout for Multiple Cards

This week we'll be Using Choose Happy Stamps & One Layout for Multiple Cards. Choose Happy is one of those very useful sets with lots of mix and match verses and images. Here's the set.....

Screenshot 2024-08-07 102408As you can see from the greetings---this set can take you through nearly a year of occasions. The images are super for mixing and matching to meet those occasions.

Here's today's card....

Boat and a bit closer look..

Boat cuIf your life is busy (like many of ours) it's always nice to have a simple design on which you can base multiple cards. Better yet if you can use this layout for multiple occasions and use a single stamp set for your creations.  That's what we are working on this week...one stamp set (Choose Happy) and one basic simple layout.

Our background for this card was created with the new So Swirly embossing folder--what a great embellishment for a seaworthy image.

The label was die cut with one of those fancy edged circles from Spotlight on Nature ---a \ super die set that compliments nearly every scenario.

For this card we are focusing on a simple card that can cover a multitude of occasions---"hello." We paired the verse with the sailboat and, of course, the cute little sun. Just a quick swipe with the Blends for a touch of color. Cute & simple.

We added a sprinkle of sparkle with the 3 small Basic Rhinestone Jewels and we are ready to send!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week  to see what we're creating then!

Another 5 Minute Thank You Card

Today we're designing Another 5 Minute Thank You Card! And again we are using the pre-designed card and envelope bases from the Sunny Springs set. Tuesday we created a bright and beautiful card...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This is the set of card bases we're using

Screenshot 2024-07-31 095738

This is today's card....

Pink

And this is a closer look at the focal point...

Pink cu

We began the design by selecting the pink flowery base card along with the matching envelope from the Sunny Springs Cards & Envelopes.

The Petunia Pop flowers in the Fully Flowering Ephemera set are a perfect match. And, again as we have found in our previous designs, these flowers just blend into the background without something to give them a boost.

Not seeing exactly the color combo we needed we flipped over the ephemera pages and looked for a white design that would do the trick...and there it was...a cute curvy oblong. We slipped that under the flowers and it was just what was needed. We popped up the flowers with a couple of dimensionals to add some interest.

The "Thanks Friend" was the right sentiment (Saying Something) and a coordinating color--we also use dimensionals on that to give it a bit of rise.

We finalized the design with 3 sparkly rhinestones to give it that last bit of pizzazz.

Now, it just doesn't get any quicker that than!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week  to see what we're creating then!

Super Simple Thank You Card

Today we're designing a Super Simple Thank You Card using the Sunny Springs Cards & Envelopes. As you recall we created a couple of beauties last week using the Calming Creek cards and Envelopes--if you missed them check them out here...Click to see last week's cards

Here is the premade card bases we're using this week:

Screenshot 2024-07-31 095738

This is today's card....

Lolly

and a bit closer look...

Lolly cu

Here's a super bright and cheery card that you can put together in less that 5 minutes! We begin with that curry & lolly card base...and, of course you have a matching envelope.

We selected the lovely coordinating yellow roses (Fully Flowering Ephemera). Note that when you lay these on the selected card base they kind of blend into the base....so we layered in the white banner label underneath and presto! they pop out beautifully. But you say, you don't find the white banner label in any of the ephemera packs....but it's in there!

Here's a way to totally double your options with the ephemera packs---turn them over and use the back side when you want a specific shape but the color on the front printed side is all wrong for your card. So flipping through the Labels & Layers I saw the crumb with black flowers---definitely not a design fit for my card but if I flip it to the back side--it's white which is the perfect solution for my card.

Next I found the right greeting for the thank you to my friend in the Saying Something Ephemera which layered nicely over the lower right corner of the flowers on the label.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week  to see what we're creating with this set!

Quickest Thank You Card You've Ever Made

Today we're creating the Quickest Thank You Card You've Ever Made. We're creating again with the Calming Creek cards & envelopes. Tuesday we created an awesome birthday card using this set & ephemera packs...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

Here's today's creation...

Blue

and a closer look...

Blue cu

The Thank you card we are working on today has it's base again in the Calming Creek set of pre-made bases with matching envelopes--which I think is just the cat's meow when the envelope matches the card.

We chose the Misty Moonlight base which also has a casual design built right in--leaves us more time to check out all the die cuts we have to choose from.

Then roving through the die cuts we see a cute little sail boat (Something for Everything set) and pop that slightly above center of the card front.

There is a cute little gray label that coordinates really well with the boat so we slide that under the bottom of the boat leaving plenty of room for more die cuts!

Since we needed a 'thank you' greeting we nabbed the 'thanks' (Saying Something) and layered that to the right on the gray label.

Looking at this--good... but then saw that little black star (Something for Everything) and positioned that to the left of 'thanks.' Pretty cool!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Quickest Birthday Card You've Ever Made

Today we're creating the Quickest Birthday Card You've Ever Made. I'm all about creating something quickly but it also must look good too, right?  We can alway slap something together and not think about color or composition...it will be fast but not necessarily look good.

For the next 4 posts we're going to be creating with the coordinated cards/envelopes along with the four Ephemera packs that appeared in the new Stampin'Up! Annual catalog.  The cards are very quick and very easy to put together--yes, we may be adding a bit of cardstock and some embellishments to make the focal points pop--but we'd be doing that anyway if we were staring from scratch.

Today we're going to be working with the Calming Creek set of matching cards & envelopes...

Screenshot 2024-07-25 195848
Through this & the next 3  posts we'll be using die cuts from all 4 of the Ephemera packs

    *Saying Something
    *Fully Flowering
    *Labels & Layers
    *Something for Everything

If you think these cards would come in handy in your hurried life--you will most likely want to have all 4 on hand for mixing and matching.

Here's today's creation

Green

and a closer peek

Green bcuWe began with the green card base (& matching envelope--that's so awesome). The base already has a design embedded so nothing else was needed.

The flower  is from the Fully Flowering Ephemera pack...when I first layed it on the card front it didn't seem to pop--it looked fine but didn't pop. I cut a small piece of white cardstock and layered that below the flower and poof! It popped.

Then I decided to add a bit of greenery to really enhance the focal point so I took a piece of greenery (also from the Fully Flowering pack), cut it into 2 pieces, and layered them behind the flower--one on each side.

Now the greeting--nabbed that from the Saying Something Ephemera pack and adhered that immediately below the flower.

Then nothing is finished unless it has some glimmer so we added 3 rhinestones in a vertical line in the lower right corner--and we are finished. Five minutes max, right?

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday  to see what we're creating with this set!

Here's today's cutie....

Birthday

And a bit closer peek..

Birthday cu

Our base is another piece of the Country Wood designer paper layered on Night of Navy to coordinate with the navy tinted wood and bedded on a white card base.

Our focal point begins with a huge white circle cut with one of the decorative circle dies (Spotlight on Nature).

The branch goes on next across the center and topped with our bird. We added a couple of sets of leaves behind the bird.

Our greeting is from the Simply Said stamp set--a wonderful array of sentiments that meet most of our needs. The font in this greetig is a bit simplistic which coordinates quite well with the lines of our stamp set.

We spiced it up with the Opal Rounds dotting around the branch.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Creating a Simple Get Well Card Using Stampin'Up! Bird's Eye View Stamp Set

Today we're Creating a Simple Get Well Card Using Stampin'Up! Bird's Eye View Stamp Set. This little set is a sleeper---it's been with us a couple of years and each time I bring it out I have the best time designing with it!

Here's the Bird's Eye View stamp set...

Screenshot 2024-07-17 193946

Here's our card for today...

Get well

And a bit closer look...

Get well cu

Our background is from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper--it's my favorite design in that pack...it's a fun array of different wood hues stained with unusual colors for wood.

The Feel Better Soon greeting is from the Wanted to Say die set. The underlay is cut from Coastal Cabana. The over lay is cut from the copper Textured Metallic foil...not only does that give us a lovely warm shine but also a bit of texture to the words too. This double layering provides a professional appearance to the greeting & sets off the lettering quite nicely

The little owl is such a cutie standing on the "F"--we popped a huge set of spectacles on him to spice up his face.

We topped off the card with 3 large Textured Dots above the owl.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.
