12 Weeks of Christmas Week 7 (Part 2) Last Creation with Humble Home

Today we're creating a handmade gift tag in the 12 Weeks of Chrismas Week 7 (Part 2) Last Creation with Humble Home. Tuesday we embedded the Home in the forest--if you missed it check it out here Tuesday's card.

This is such a sweet bundle that ideas kept popping in my vision...so we're using it one last time today.

This is the bundle

and here's today's gift tag...

Tag

This is a bookstyle tag--I've always love this style that opens like a book to write your message inside. For this tag all the complexity is in the image itself---for this reason we can keep the actual tag quite simple--still looks like a million dollars but is a quick and easy creation.

You can simply stamp a gazillion on white cardstock--color them while watching your favorite TV show (or in my case listening to a reocorded book--that way I don't miss any of the action in the picture LOL).   Then cut your cardstock, fold in half, punch a  hole and thread through your twine or ribbon.

We did add the 'Merry Christmas'  stamped in red on a small piece of white cardstock since we overlayed the tag front with the Dashing Design embossed layer for some added interest.

And we topped it all off with 3 of those darling little peppermint dots that just must be used with a gingerbread house!

Stop back by next week to see a new creation!

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 2) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set

Today we're creating 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 2) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set. Tuesday we used this set to create a stunning stained glass Christmas card...if you missed it check it out here Click here for Tuesday's card.

This is the lovely stamp set we're using this week to create our Christmas projects...

Screenshot 2024-10-22 155158This beautiful set  featuring the stained glass look is an Online Exclusive product--meaning that you will not see it in a catalog but only in the online Stampin'Up! store.

Here's today's design....

Tag

We bagan the design with the super cute tag die from Greetings of the Season die set...aside from the stunning shapes for tags,..one of the great features is that the die cuts the hole for the twine or ribbon while cutting out the tag. The other fun feature is the stitching all around the main design

We used the bells design for this tag although all the designs in this set would make a beautiful tag.

We colored the bell using alternating Light & Dark Daffodil Deligh Blends for the bells and Light & Dark Real Red for the bow.  The "clanger" is created from a small Drusy gold embellishment--and that is super sparkling!

The 'For You' (Greetings of the SEason) is stamped in Garden Green to help balance the red-gold-green pattern on this tag.

The final touch is the three red rhinestones...we used our Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend to give the color to the plain Basic Rhinestone Jewels...and scattered them around the 'for you.'

Stop in next week to see what Week 5 will bring in our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 1) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set

Today we're creating 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 1) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set. This is a fun "stained glass look" stamp set with tons of great coloring possibilities!

Here's the set we are using...

Screenshot 2024-10-22 155158

And here's today's card we are creating with this set!

CardThe beautiful arch die is from the Garden Meadows Dies--the arch blends nicely with the circular stamp of the angel.

We chose to do simple coloring consisting of the Light & Dark Boho Blue and the Light & Dark Fresh Freesia. By alternating these the Light & Dark color we maintain the stained glass look but don't get really crazy with coloring.

The wings were 'winked' with Wink of Stella which really provides the glimmerful glamour that sets off the entire image.

We used the mix & match greetings from Greetings of the Season--a wonderfully scripted set combined with simpler script to match any of our holiday designs.

Stop back by Thursday to see the second part of Week 4 using So Very Merry.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 3 (Part 2) Quick & Easy Gift Tags

and the Greetings of the Season dies

Screenshot 2024-10-14 201704Here's today's gift tag..

Stocking

As you can see these dies are specifically designed to create tons of tags...gift tags or tags used on card fronts...use them singly or use them together.  This week we've chosen to attach 2 tags from the set to give us some extra pizzazz! That long dovetail tag is attached at the back to form the double layer look for today's creation.

We've used the sketched stocking stamp with Fa la la embedded in it to add that perky style and fun.

Surrounding the stocking we added the Red/White Peppermint Dots to coordinate with the red stocking and just plain sprinkle of cuteness! I'd love a truck load of those to accompany the truckload of glimmer paper that's on my Wish List for Santa this year!

To top it all off we added that sweet Shaded Spruce Satin bow at the top.

Stop back by next week for Week 4 of 12 Weeks of Christmas.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 3 (Part 1) Quick & Easy Gift Tags

Today we're creating 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 3 (Part 1) Quick & Easy Gift Tags! The tags we're creating this week will be using a fun stamp set, Festive Words, and a totally fabulous set of dies, Greetings of the Season.

Screenshot 2024-10-14 201704

Here's today's tag..

Tree

The Festive Words is "simply" terrific for creating tags--the greetings are built creatively in the image.   This makes creating the tag quite simple and still display a very professional appearance.

We begin today's tag using the large tag die cut from White cardstock--notice the lovely stitching around the edges and the hole already punched to make this a very easy tag.

We then die cut the long dovetail from red cardstock and layer it behind the tag--tie them together with Rea & White Baker's Twine.

Today's tag is stamped with the tree ...the words Love Peace & Joy embedded among the branches. To give some pizzazz in the surrounding tag we stamped the random dot in Stazon Saddle Brown ink giving the dots a golden color.

The tree is colored with Light Shaded Spruce Blend and topped off with a star die cut from Peach Pie Glimmer paper and a Cherry Cobbler & Gold bow at the trunk. To cinch the pizzazz we sparkle up the branches with Wink of Stella.

Stop back by Thursday to see the second part of Week 3--Quick & Easy Christmas Tags.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week #2 (Part 2) More Beautiful Tags

Today we continue 12 Weeks of Christmas Week #2 (Part 2) More Beautiful Tags. Tuesday we created a very cute tag with the Merriest Trees dies...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's tag.

For today's tags (yes, more than one) we're continuing to use the Merriesst Trees dies

Screenshot 2024-10-09 091516

We'er using the layering tree dies today to create 4 simple tags by adding layers to the bottom of our tree.

Note: for each tree we recommend die cutting the base (whichever you are using for your base) in white cardstock to give the tag a bit more stability, made the backside look professional and gives you a great place to easily write the "To/From" info.

The small version...

Small adj2This tag uses the 3-tier, 2-tier & 1 tier dies from the Take a Bow Designer Series Papers & the top tier is from the white glimmer paper.

The medium size tag...

Medium treeFor the medium tag we took the small tag above & added the red/white striped layer using the 4 tier die.

Finally our large tag...

Large tree

This adds the green with stars DSP using the 5-tier die.

Using this model you can adjust the size of your tag to fit your gift size---the largest would not look great on a tiny box ... likewise the small tag would not look great on a very large bag or box.

Here's a suggestion....die cut multiple of each tier & some white bases of each size...this way you can construct the size you need on the spot when you need it!

Stop back next week for Week 3 of the 12 Weeks of Christmas!

*Sign up for newsletters by clicking the buttons on  the right side of this blog

Directions:

Note: below are the directions for the large tree---to create the mediun/small tags just reduce the number of tiers.

1. Die cut the 5 tier tree from white cardstock & from the green with stars designer paper  (Take a Bow); Cut approximatel 12" red/white baker's twine--adhere between DSP & white layer; adhere the white die cut to the back of the designer paper tree.

2. Die cut the following and adhere to the top of each successive layer:

*4-tier tree from red/white striped DSP
*3-tier tree from the green dotted DSP

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 2 (Part 1) More Simple Gift Tags

Today we are in 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 2 (Part 1) More Simple Gift Tags.  Last week we began our journey to Christmas by creating some super simple tags...if you missed it you can check it out here Week 1 Part 1 and here Week 1 Part 2.

We're continuing our Christmas tags with a slightly upgraded design but still keeping it relatively simple and quick.

This week's designs use the "carried over" Merriest Tree Dies

Screenshot 2024-10-09 091516Today's tag uses the "tag" die along with one of the stackable tree dies...

Tag

Because our base is designer paper which is a bit more lightweight than cardstock we first cut a tag from white cardstock followed by the red dotted designer paper and glued these together. Note the tag die already has your hole punched in the top ready to go.

Then we die cut the 3-tier tree from the green with stars designer paper and popped that up with dimensionals on the tag.

The star is cut from the Peach Pie (2024-26 In Color Glimmer) paper and the ornaments are medium rhinestones colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend.

The tie is 12" of Red/White Baker's Twine looped through the tag hole.

Stop back Thursday to see out next Christmas tag for some real cutie tags!

Part Two of Week #1 in 12 Weeks of Christmas Using Scraps for Gift Tags

Today we're in Part Two of Week #1 in 12 Weeks of Christmas Using Scraps for Gift Tags. Tuesday we created a really pretty & quick gift tag---if you missed it check it out here click to see Tuesday's tag.

Today we're using the same bundle that we used on Tuesday--the Christmas Labels set

Screenshot 2024-10-02 115631

This set was just made for this week's projects.

Here's today's tag...

SmallWhen I die cut this cutie I didn't know which greeting I wanted to use--I picked up the one I used on Tuesday and was super surprised to see that it fit just perfectly in this die cut also! The cut is completely different that the first tag but Stampin'Up! has cleverly designed this die cut to also accommodate it!

Again, we used white cardstock fron the scrap bin and Real Red ink. We also used the same peppermint embellishments to add that special pizzazz. And, again you can create tons of these within an hour for your stash.

Now...for the idea promised you on Tuesday....aren't we all looking for a fun gift for our special people--co-workers, small group buddies, neighbors, etc....AND, we all are looking for that budget conscious gift that is awesome, fun, and inexpensive, am I right?

So create about 20 of these tags in a hand crafted bag or box, tie it with a pretty ribbon and use one of these tags on your bag. You are using up scraps and creating a fun inexpensive gift that will be greatly appreciated by your friends (they are busy too and love to use handmade items). So get busy--create some more and give them away!

Stop back next week for Week #2 of Christmas projects.

Week #6 (Part 2) Christmas Creating Super Fast Swinging Tree Tag with Stampin'Up! Merriest Tree Dies

Today we're in Week #6 (Part 2) Christmas Creating Super Fast Swinging Tree Tag with Stampin'Up! Merriest Trees Dies. Tuesday we creates a sweet little angle ornament/tag...if you missed it check it out here Click to see angel.

Today we are getting very very close to Christmas and we have a very short time to wind up our gift wrapping. So today we're creating a darling swinging tree gift tag....

DecoratedNow here's what it looks like with the parts all swinging...

Swinging

Is that just not the cutest...and the best part is that you can whip out about 20 of these in no time.

The Merriest Trees die set has 4 sizes of trees and they all overlay one another. For this one I used the 3 smaller trees--but if you want to go larger---use the 3 larger trees--you'll have the same effect but for a larger package!

We used Shaded Spruce, Pool Party (because is has a bit of blue to coordinate with the Spruce) and, of course, the More Dazzle for the top layer. If you're out of Dazzle you can simply use white for a snow covered look.

The 3 teirs are tied together at the top with the hanging loop and then a bow is added for a fun finishing touch.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by and see us next week!

Remember:

*Use this month's regular host code (YT24ZYUC)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the 3rd smallest tree (Merriest Trees Dies) from Shaded Spruce cardstock.

2. Die cut the 2nd smallest tree from Pool Party cardstock.

3. Die cut the smallest tree from the More Dazzle (silver) paper.

4. Hold all three layered together with the tops of the trees aligned; using a 1/8" hole punch punch through all 3 layers.

5. Cut approximately 9" silver cord (Simply Elegant Trim); loop through hole and tie ends in a knot by wrapping around your finger near the end and tucking the ends through.

6. Cut approximately 7" of silver cord, tie in a bow and adhere over the hole with a glue dot.

Week #6 Christmas Creating 10 Minute Deckled Angel Ornament or Tag

Today we're in Week #6 Creating a 10 Minute Deckled Angel Ornament or Tag! Those 6 weeks flew by and here we are at the last minutes before Christmas and anything we do must be super quick and easy!  That's just what we are doing with this cute as can be Angel Ornament.

Here's what she looks like...

Angel useA close look reveals that she is made completey from circles---and all but one of them is from the Deckled Circle die set (the other one is the face and that one is from the Reach for the Stars dies).

Her gown is cut from the Snowflake Magic Designer Series Paper &, of course, uses one of the larger dies. (The largest in the set is about 6"--this is definitely a staple tool to have on hand.)

Her wings are cut from the Holographic paper. Her halo had to have lots of sparkle and that meant diving into the More Dazzle paper (it doesn't get any sparklier).

The neck bow uses the Silver & White Sheer ribbon and, happily, this is carrying over so we'll have this gorgeousness for a bit longer.

The buttons of her gown are the Pool Party Faceted Gems Trio and add just a touch of color to the silver and white ensemble.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what project we'll be creating quickly and easily.
