Well, Santa is almost here Just a couple more days and sudenly you find you have a special gift to wrap which requires a special gift tag also.  But since you already hear Santa's sleigh bells...this has to be quick. So here's the quick one..

Tag& up closer....

Tag cu

This little beauty is composed of 2 die cuts and red rhinestones...it just doesn't get simpler than that! The Holly Berry dies contains this label base with the double holly leaves embedded.  It also has the underlay for the holly leaves allowing that Evergreen glimmer sparkle to shine through. (Remember if you don't have the Evergreen glimmer you can substituted Evening Evergreen cardstock and use Wink of Stella on it!)

We added two sets of red rhinestones to each leave to be our berries as well as add that special sparkle that only rhinestones can do.

Instead of adding a tie on ribbon we are using dimensionals on the back to adhere it to the wrapped package or gift bag...this way we don't have to worry about coordinating ribbon or tying a bow (pretty slick, right?).

Stop back by next week and see what we are creating in the Christmas aftermath.

I'll give you full directions for the tag below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (GWGSJ33M) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut label (Holly Berries die set) from Thick Basic White cardstock (gift tag base).

2. Die cut berry underlay from Evergreen glimmer paper (in the pack of Glimmer paper). If you don't have Evergreen glimmer then use Evergreen cardstock and add Wink of Stella to it. Adhere this to the back of the embedded leaves of the tag base with glue dots.

3. Add 3 red rhinestones to the base of each leaf on the tag base.

4. After writing the To/From information, add 4 dimensioals to the back of the tag and add to gift.

Your beautifully tagged gift is ready for giving!

How to Create a Christmas Ornament with Stampin'Up! Cottage Wreath & Country Wreath Dies!

Today we're going to show you How to Create a Christmas Ornament with Stampin'Up! Cottage Wreath & Country Wreath Dies! Tuesday we used this set to create a simple & stunning card....if you missed it you can check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/11/a-simple-stunning-card-using-stampinup-cottage-wreaths-country-wreaths-dies-.html

As I mentioned Tuesday I have not played with this set much until this week and now it's quickly becoming one of my favs. I promised to show you a creation you wouldn't want to miss.  I"ve used this set to create a Christmas ornament...

OrnamentThis was super fun...here's a bit closer look tah the wreath

Ornment cuNow the really fun part of this ornament is that it identical on the front and back. We've created 2 wreaths that are just the same and  adhered their backs together...doesn't it annoy you when you hang an ornament and it twists in the air --you see just the back side? Well, this time you won't be annoyed because when this little cutie swings in the air movement you will still see the beautiful side.

We've created the "fuller" wreath in Shaded Spruce and the less dense wreath in Mint Macaron...this gives us a beautifully full looking wreath especially when we've adhere two together.

We added the red glimmer bow (using the die in this set) and then decorated with triple red rhinestones--lots of richness and sparkle.

It is a wonderfully quick project and you can whip several of these out in an evening.  You can use them as a gift in themselves or you can use them to tie on a package or  gift bag...the recipient will be amazed at your creativity.

Now I'm thinking that this wreath would also be stunning in Evening Evergreen Glimmer paper with a Soft Seafoam Glimmer over-wreath (the less dense one)....give it a try and send me a photo.

As promised earlier this month each week until Christmas we'll be creating a card from a different set and then either a tag or another 3D project using that same set.  So be sure to stop by next week to see which set we are using and what out next project will be!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (GWGSJ33M) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the more solid (fuller) wreath twice from Shaded Spruce

2. Die cut the less dense wreath twice from Mint Macaron

*Adhere one mint wreath to a spruce wreath; repeat with the other set of die cuts

*Die cut two bows from Red Glimmer Paper and adhere with a glue dot to the top of each wreath.

*Adhere red rhinestones in trios around each wreath.

3. Cut 9" of gold twine (Simply Elegant twine), knot the 2 ends together and adhere to the back of one wreath. Using glue dots adhere the back of the two wreaths together.

Your wreath ornament is ready for giving!

Totally Awesome Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle!

Today we're creating a Total Awesome Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle! Tuesday we created a very simple card using the same Sweet Candy Cane set using a really quick trick--if you missed it---check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/11/a-simple-trick-to-creating-with-stampinup-sweet-candy-cane-bundle-wtihout-stamping.html.

Christmas gift tags are one of my favorite parts of the whole gift giving experience...

Tag

... a little closer look at the candy cane...

Tag with

The tag base is cut with the large label die in the Seasonal Labels set...this was in last year's holiday mini catalog & carried over in the annual catalog...it's a wonderful base for tags---just the right size.

Today we did stamp the cane in red on white cardstock & die cut. Then layered several greeneries & topped it off with those red glimmer sprigs (Leaves of Holly dies).  To tie it all together we added a white glitter organdy bow--it's just the right touch & doesn't overpower the remainder of the design. (Did you know you can color this ribbon with your makers or your ink pad to coordinate with any color you need?)

All this beauty lies atop the Sweetest Christmas designer series paper & a white scalloped die cut circle.

For the next few weeks we'll be exploring other fun sets in the holiday mini--first with a card & the second design of the week will be a gift tag....keep following!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (G4RX6ZUY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the base label (Seasonal Labels) from Real Red cardstock; punch an approximate 1/4" hole in the top.

2. Cut designer paper (Sweetest Christmas) 2 X 3: adhere to the center with glue.

3. Die cut a scalloped circle (Layering Circle dies approx 2 3/4 diameter) from Basic White cardstock; adhere to center of the designer paper

4. Stamp right hook candy cane in Real Red ink on white cardstock, die cut & adhere to circle at a slight angle.

5. Die cut two double pine sprigs (Christmas Banners) from Evening Evergreen glimmer paper; adhere one with glue dot angled from center to upper left and the other from center angled to lower right.

6. Die cut 2 greenery (Christmas Banner) from Shaded Spruce cardstock; adhere as described above.

7. Die cut 2 large sprigs (Leaves of Holly) from Real Red Glimmer paper; adhere as described above.

Creating a Turkey Treat Box with Stampin'Up! Design a Treat Box Die

Today we’re creating a cute Turkey Treat Box with Stampin’Up! Design a Treat Box Die.  This little die only uses a scant 6 X 6 piece of designer paper and it’s an all-in-one die---so only one die to cut this cutie out

Here’s today’s Turkey Treat Box…

1

& a couple of other angles to see it more closely….

2

3

4

We put on our creative cap and simply hand drew a turkey head & neck…it’s really not that hard ---you’ll see it below and can copy it in a flash.

The wattle (that red thing) is actually the small dragonfly punch ---just the wings…pretty clever, right?

And the tail (always the most important part) is the maple leaf die from Ranunculus Dies (have you noticed how much we use that die set lately?).

And, of course, we have candy inside as the treat…you can use these as place markers or simply as a fun little take home treat for your Thanksgiving guests. If you’re not hosting then maybe a little box of these would be an awesome host gift that your host can share with everying.

This is such a quick & easy project you can create several in an evening.

I’ll give you the step by step directions below following by the Supply list.

Stop back by Thursday and see another treat box for the autumn holidays.

When placing an online order and using this month’s host code (G4RX6ZUY) you will receive $5 in Stampin’Up! Product for each $50 you purchase (my choice of product).

Directions:

1. Hand draw a turkey head/neck—use the sample below as your template. Cut one from Crumb Cake cardstock; flip template over and cut the reverse from Crumb cake. Glue the head and neck together leaving the last ¼” horizontal piece without glue---spread these "wings"  apart to use to attach to ‘body’ later.

Head

*Punch small wings (Dragonfly Punch) from Cherry Cobbler cardstock, fold in half and glue to bottom of head.

*Adhere 2 small Rustic dots as eyes

Complete head

2. Die cut box from Crumb Cake (Neutrals Designer Paper), and adhere sides with Tear & Tape using the four small flaps to form the body.

*Now is the time to add the treat (e.g. candy)

*Fold semicircles perpendicular to the box top and slide the two slitted flaps over them.

3. Die cut maple leaf (Ranunculus Dies) from Vanilla cardstock. Using Blends..

*Color one side lobe of leaf with Dark Daffodil, working quickly add Dark Pumpkin Pie to the edges. Then blend colors with Dark Daffodil until well blended.

Coloring

*Repeat on the opposite side lobe of leaf.

*On center lobe color with Dark Daffodil, then working quickly edge with Dark Cajun Craze. Then blend colors with Dark Daffodil

*Use Wink of Stella to add sparkle

*Using glue dots adhere the leaf to the semicircle on the box top.

4. Using glue dots on the side flaps of the head/neck, adhere this unit to the front of the box.

Your turkey is ready for giving!

Creating an Awesome Tag with Stampin'Up!'s New Designer Tags Dies

Today we're Creating an Awesome Tag with Stampin'Up!'s New Designer Tags Dies. These dies are sleepers because they are not associated with a stamp set or bundle--they are sleeping in the back on the catalog among all the dies and if you are not careful--you'll miss them!

But miss them you do NOT want to do--they are quick, easy and quite beautiful with minimal effort!

Here's today's tag...

Pink

and, a bit closer look...

Pink cu

This tag uses 2 of the dies in this set---first we used the largest die with the top and bottom slits---this provides a really pretty way to add some zing with the new Rose Gold White 5/8" ribbon--the slits allow the ribbon to enter from front to back at the top, travel down the back and out through the bottom slit.

The fancy top and bottom edges are quite pretty and drew my attention to the rose cut-out die...so I layered the die on top of the Polished Pink tag, die cut the rose and layered white cardstock on the back of the tag to highlight the beautiful design. I love sparkle so I winked (Wink of Stella) the white rose to add pizzazz.

Then to add a touch of romance I added three heart pearls--the heart shape is quite subtle but the pearls add that charm to complete the design.  Quick, easy, perfect!

Stop back by on Thursday to see another creation with these dies!

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the largest tag die from Polished Pink cardstock

*Die cut the rose in the tag--position it to the left leaving space for the greeting

*Stamp "Thinking of You" (Lovely & Lasting) in black in (Memento) in upper right corner

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2 X 2 3/4; adhere to back side of tag with glue

3. Cut approximately 14" Rose Gold & White ribbon, fold in half and lead with the folded edge from front to back through bottom tag slit. Bring the folded edge through from back to front through top tag slit.

*Cut approximately 8" Sweet Sorbet metallic ribbon; tie a bow  around the top rose ribbon loop.

4. Adhere 1 large & 2 small heart pearls--see photo for placement.

Your tag is ready for giving!

Create a Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Bow Die

Today we're going to Create a Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Bow Die. Tuesday we used this die set to create a Gift Card Holder--if you missed it check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/06/quick-gift-card-holder-using-stampinup-mini-pocket-envelope-dies.html

Today's card  holder is really a simple design but using the awesome bow die designed to fit this pocket envelope just perfectly...you can see the 2 die pieces that we'll be using here--I've marked them on the pieces...

Dies1

Here is the gift card holder using this die set and creating the small bow with these dies...

Petaland a bit closer look at the bow...

Petal cuAs you can see in the die set---it's a very simple process...just bring the 2 ends of the bow body to the back and then loop the top of the "tails" around the middle. I'll give you some helpful hints below in the Directions section.

We've created this using a paper in the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Paper with a matching Petal Pink bow.  So this would most likely go to one of your lady friends or relatives. But if you need one for younger kids you could create it using a paper like Butterfly Kisses; need a guy holder--try one of the Chic papers in Evening Evergreen.

The choices are unlimited and don't forget Christmas is not that far away--imagine all the wonderful gift card holders we can create using Christmas papers.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Roughly cut 6 X 6 Designer paper (Texture Chic); die cut main pocket envelope. Using Tear & Tape form envelope at the bottom and side.

2. Die cut both bow pieces (see photo of die pieces below)

Dies1

3. Using a bone folder slightly curl the 2 bow loops toward the back.

4. Using glue dots adhere the 2 end tabs to the middle bar between the 2 loops thus forming the bow.

5. Wrap the long straight piece of the bow "tail" piece around the middle bar of the bow loops--secure with a glue dot. The bow is complete...adhere this to the top middle of the envelope with a glue dot.

6. Die cut 4 leaves from gold foil; adhere these under the bow with glue dots.

Quick Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Dies

Today we're going to create a Quick Gift Card Holder Using Stampin'Up! Mini Pocket Envelope Dies. I really don't like to just stuff a gift card in a greeting card when giving a gift. I like the presentation to have a bit of pizzazz...well, Stampin'Up! has done a wonderful job creating this cute little Mini Pocket Envelope die..

Here is the main die...

Dies2

and here are the accessory dies--including tags, leaves and there are even dies to create a mini bow...

Dies1

Today we're creating a lovely unisex birthday gift card holder..

Chic2And a bit closer look at the tag...

Chic cu

Since we usually need these quickly we can create a few, leave off the greeting, and just stamp that when the event occurs when we need a quick gift card holder.  The main die easily folds together with Tear & Tape and you're ready to decorate.

You can change the entire 'mood' by choosing a different designer paper for your base--need a kids holder--try using Happy Forest Friends. Need a more "guy" look--use He's the Man. And we can go on and on..the great thing about owning the die is that you can create exactly what you need when you need it. Remember Christmas is only 6 months away and gift card holders are super to have on hand then.

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (VWJEW9VK) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Today we're exploring Designing a Photo Tag Book with Stampin'Up! Abstract Beauty CollectionIf you joined us Tuesday you saw a pretty cute card designed by Valerie Eilman with the Abstract Beauty Collection of products including the Hello Beautiful bundle. If you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/03/creating-with-stampinup-hello-beautiful-abstract-beauty-designer-paper.html

Valerie is one of our Dream Team designers and today she's created a beautiful Photo Tag Book using the same basic supplies as she used for the card.

A tag book is simply a group of tags designed to hold photos (usually of the same theme) held together with a binder ring. This is an excellent way to display your photos or to give them as a small memory album gift. They are compact and can be casually displayed on your coffee table, on your desk or even tucked in your bag for easy retrieval to show your friends.

Here's Valerie's tag book... Page 1 Front
