Today we're Creating with Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper. This set of cute papers is a Sale-a-bration freebie with a $60 purchase through the end of February-- so only 3 more days!!!

This set of papers is very whimsical and lots of fun colors to play with.  For this card I selected the Bubble Bath background highlighted with Melon Mambo tones and a touch of Gray Granite.

This design is based on having something of a pictorial background.  We cut 6 squares of 1 1/2 X 1 1/2--two across and 3 down keeping them in order so the design remains intact.  The pieces are mounted on a black rectangle which really maked the design pop. Then another layer of Gray Granite mellows out the overall design.

We used the Feel Better Soon detail die with Melon Mambo and Bubble Bath for the underlay--this makes the Melon pop out but doesn't detract from the pictorial design.

Of course, a bit of bling rounds it all out with 3 small Melon dots from the Sunny Day collection.

Directions:

1 Cut Bubble Bath cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Designer Paper 1 1/2 X 1 1/2 six times in adjacent images---2 across and 3 down--keep these in sequential order.

3. Cut Basic Black cardstock 3 1/4 X 4 7/8; adhere the squares to this leaving equal borders around & between.

4. Cut Gray Granite cardstock 3 1/2 X 5 1/8; adhere the black layer leaving equal borders. Adhere this to card front

5. Die cut the Feel Better Soon overlay (Wanted to Say) from Melon Mambo; cut the underlay from Bubble Bath; adhere together. Using dimensionals adhere this unit to card center.

6. Adhere 3 small Melon dots (Sunny Day Dots) around the greeting--see sample for placement.

Today we are Creating with Sale-a-bration Freebie Bloom IMpressions Designer Series Paper. This is one of my favorite free items during Sale-a-bration when spending $60 in product. 

Here is a sampling of this beautiful set...

You can see all the wonderful spring colors in the "blooms" side and those stunning coordinating colors in the "watercolor wash" side....what a delight in creating cards with these papers.

Here's today's creation using this paper:

This card fairly glows with the gorgeous Daffodil Delight blooms in the background.  We've nestled the Countryside Corners die cut of the designer paper on the Daffodil Delight top layer embossed with the Starstruck embossing folder. This is also one of the freebies you can obtain with a $60 order during SAB.  

As our focal point we're using a tree stamp (trunk/leaves) die cut using the Twisted Tree bundle in the Spring mini catalog.  

We've stamped the trunk in Early Espresso & the leaves in Garden Green--then die cut for that perfect image.

The greeting is from one of our very useful sets, Simply Said Mix & Match stamp set.

Directions:

1. Cut Daffodil cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Daffocil CS 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, run through Starstruck embossing folder; adhere to card front.

3. Die cut 5" long Countryside Corners die from the Daffodil patterned Bloom Impressions paper; adhere to card center.

4. On Basic White CS, stamp tree trunk in Early Espression ink; over top branches stamp leaves in Garden Green; die cut; adhere to card with dimensionals

5. Cut Lemon Lolly 3/8 X 2 3/4; stamp Happy Birthday (Simply Said) in black ink; adhere to 2 1/2 X 3/8 Peach Glimmer (24-26 In Color Glimmer) with glue dots; adhere to tree.

6. Add a bird embellishment ( Birds & Dragonflies).

Today we're Creating with Sale-a-bration Freebie Documenting the Day Stamp Set. This is a free set you can earn with a $60 product order during January and February this year....less that one month left of earning free stuff!

First we selected the designer paper which is also a free item during Sale-a-bration--it's the Toadstool Garden set...lively and fun!  This was layered onto Pretty in Pink and then onto our base of Melon Mambo.  

If you often have a bit of trouble combining colors--you can look at your designer paper and choose colors that are combined there and usually arrive at a very nice combo.

We stamped the huge 'DAY' in Granny Apple Green on a white label die cut with the Nested Essentials die.

Then the 'Happy' is die cut from the gold foil using the Wanted to Say dies.  Of course, it wouldn't be complete without some super sparkle which is supplied with the large gold Drusy Embellishments.

This stamp set is an awesome addition to your collection if you do memory keeping--this large DAY with or without some of the accompanying verses is fantastic in size for your designs.

1. Cut Melon Mambo cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (cardbase).

2. Cut Pretty in Pink CS 4 X 5 1/4; adhere to card front

3. Cut designer paper ( Toadstool Gardens) 3 7/8 X 5 1/8; adhere to pink layer.

4. Die cut 4 3/4 Nested Essential die from Basic White cardstock

    *Stamp DAY in Granny Apple Green
    *Add 3 large gold Drusy Embellishments under "DAY"
    *Adhere to card front with dimensionals

5. Die cut 'happy' from Gold foil using die from Wanted to say; adhere above "DAY"

Today we're Creating with Sale-a-bration Freebies - Dance wiht Me Stamp Set. It's an adorable little set that will bring smiles and memories to some of us who will remember the 'good ole days.'

Our card base is Bubble Bath with a layer of the same embossed with Exposed Brick.  The awesome colorful designer paper is actually another one of the Sale-a-bration Freebies--Toadstool Garden Designer Series Paper... doesn't it just make you want to kick up YOUR heels?

Our dancing couple is colored with Blends--Granny Apple Green, Fresh Freesia, Melon Mambo & a bit of Smoky Slate.  They are backed with a slim layer of Granny Apple cardstock to pop them out!

Wondering where to get those gems? These are the Iridescent Foil Gems colored with the Blends in order that they coordinate with our dancing couple  the colorful DSP--this means that you can always have matching gems!

1. Cut Bubble Bath cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Bubble Bath 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, put through Exposed Brick embossing folder; adhere to card front.

3. Cut 3 pieces Toadstool Garden DSP 1 X 4; stagger in the middle of the card front.

4. Cut Basic White cardstock 2 1/2 X 2 1/4:

    *stamp couple dancing in Memento ink
    *color with Blends: Light Granny Apple Green, Light Melon Mambo, Light Fresh Freesia, Light & Dark Smoky Slate
    *Cut Granny cardstock 2 5/8 X 2 3/8; adhere to back of stamped layer; adhere to card front.

5. Color large Iridescent Foil Gems --one with Dark Granny Apple Green, one with Dark Fresh Freesia, one small one with Dark Melon Mambo. Adhere to card front --see sample.

6. Die cut "Oh Happy Day" from Silver Foil using the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid--adhere above couple with dimensionals.
