Creating with Sale-a-bration Friendly Seagulls Stamp Set

Here's the stamp set...

This is our card today...

And a bit closer look...

Cu

Since we are using a beachy scene we decided to use neutral colors for our pallette on this card. We're using an Early  Expresso base with a top layer using the new Sale-a-bration embossing folder, Starstruck...really a very cute design with an all over pattern.

Next we used the Timeless Plaid desisgner paper that coordinates well with the Expresso with a base of Gray Granite. The Perennial Postage die gives it a playful and interesting edge.

We kept the stamped imaged in black and white except for a few touches of color with Gray Granite on the winkds and a bit of Peach Pie for the bills and feet.

The simple greeting is popped up on the gray granite label.

Come back by next Tuesday and see which Sale-a-bration Freebie we're using then!

Note: Due to some unforeseen issues I'll be posting on Wednesdays only for awhile. When all gets back to normal I'm hoping to go back to Tuesdays & Thursdays. Thanks for sticking with me for awhile.

RedWith a bit closer look....

As you can see we focused on Valentine's Day or an anniversary for today's creation.

We used the heart side of the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper today--just perfect to coordinate with the heart inserts. Of course, we used Real Red ink for the hearts and Garden Green for the tree leaves.

We've added a fence in the background in Pecan Pie and a triple bow from the Gold Twisted Thread (and Online Exclusive product).

We "shined" up the focal point with 2 strips of Gold Foil tucked behind the focal point on both sides. Last but not least we added a dragonfly (Birds & Dragonflies embellishments) which is just perfect flying above the fence.

Come back by next Tuesday and see which Sale-a-bration Freebie we're using then!

Before we get into the design I want to thank Tracie Clarke for inspiring this card design!

The stamp set has multiple "inserts" for the tree to address many occasions....hearts, flowers, leaves, shamrocks and Easter eggs! Great options for your coming year.

Our card begins with a Melon Mambo base with a gorgeous piece of designer paper from the Marbeled Elegance set. You may remember the reverse side  displaying swirled "paint" in white, gold, red and pink.  This side has lovely red roses that coordinate quite nicely with our rose inserts in the tree.

The tree trunk, a separate stamp, is in Early Espresso and the leaves are in Garden Green. We stamped the roses in Melon Mambo to match the base card and designer paper.

We're using the greeting from another Sale-a-bration Freebie (Day to Celebrate)--we stamped on Pretty in Pink and hand cut the label.

The final touch are two of the gold birds that are simply elegant flying above our tree.

Stop back on Thursday to see another creation using this stamp set!

and a bit closer...

Melon cu

Today we're actually using two of the Sale-a-bration Freebies...the background uses the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper that is free with a $60 order. The stamp is from the Corner in Bloom stamps we used on Tuesday.

We cut 3 strips of the Melon Mambo floral design to use as our background--we layered this on white and used a Melon Mambo cardstock base.

The focal flower is stamped on white and then layered on Melon Mambo and another layer of white. The flower is stamped in Mememto because we're using our alcohol markers (Blends) to provide the color.

The white & silver bow gives the base of the flower and extra pizazz and the sprinkling of pink sequins adds some interest around the flower.

Stop back by Thursday to see another creation using another freebie.

Lolly& a bit closer...

Lolly cuThis is a super simple card and you can change the greeting to any number of others using the Thoughtful Wishes Hybrid or even using a stamp set...so a super versatile design.

We began with the largest corner stamp in Memento ink. We then added the single flower on a stem in the middle of the corner and a small single bloom at the end of the corner and at the mid-Hello. We then colored the images with our blends: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Grany Apple Green and Crumb Cake. But again....you can switch out to any color combo you like.

We mounted this focal piece on the Lemon Lolly card base and applied 3 small rhinestones to add that sparkle--we colored the rhinestones with the Dark Daffodil Delight Blend to keep with our color scheme.

Quick, simple and any color combo.

We layered the Toadstool Garden Designer Series paper on the Melon Mambo card front. (Note: this DSP is also a free set earned with a $60 purchase during Jan/Feb.)

Cutting a narrow reverse dovetail from a white square begins our central image. This was put through the Star Gazer embossing folder (a Sale-a-bration Freebie earned with a $60 order). This gives a lot of interest in the back ground for our wreath.

The wreath is die cut from Old Olive with 3 spiffy little flowers die cut from Melon Mambo and arranged in a triangle on the lower left of the wreath. The centers of the flowers are Antique Pearls--one of our new embellishments.

We topped off the flowers with a double Twisted Gold Thread bow.

Stamping the hello in black ink on Peach Pie cardstock we cut it out with our paper snips and adhere it on the lower right of the wreath.

Stop back by next week to see which Sale-a-bration Freebies we'll be using then.

Our focal wreath was stamped with Pretty Peacock on the central square. We topped this with a die cut wreath in Pool Party...this overlay gives us nice depth to the image.

The greeting was stamped on Melon Mamb and used the label die to cut it out on the left end and snipping off the unused right side with our paper snips.

We used the dovetail die from Nested Essentials to cut the Peacock tail to peek out the right edge of the white square.

A double bow of the new Twisted Gold Thread adds that little pizzaaz that ratchets up our central image.

This was set on the gorgeous designer paper from Blooms Impressions (another Sale-a-bration freebie).

Today we working on 12 Weeks os Christmas Week 12 (Part 3) Another Quick & Easy card. Tuesday we created a really fast card...if you missed it you can check it out here click for Tuesday's card.

Screenshot 2024-12-18 114416 Here's our card for today that you can use to thank someone for your gift or to remember your time with them over the holidays--remembering someone is the best gift...

Daff

As you can see our card is filled with sunshine...about now all the shine and sparkle of the holiday is over and the gloom of the winter is settling in with later morning and early evening light being the norm. So it's a great time to be sending cards with lots of light to brighten the days.

We layered our embossing done with the Eyelet folder on the card front...give us that nice lacy look all over.

We stamped the flower in Daffodil and the center is all shiny with the Flat Backed Pearls. We used the same leaf spray as we used on Tuesday's card--it has multiple leaves plus a nice little sprig all in one stamp.

Our Happy Hello is from the Flower Cart stamp set but you can use any greeting you need on this one.

The finishing touch is a triple bow of twisted gold thread at the base of the leaf stems to top it all off.

Join us next week and see how we're starting off the new year.
