12 Weeks of Christmas Week 7 (Part 2) Last Creation with Humble Home

Today we're creating a handmade gift tag in the 12 Weeks of Chrismas Week 7 (Part 2) Last Creation with Humble Home. Tuesday we embedded the Home in the forest--if you missed it check it out here Tuesday's card.

This is such a sweet bundle that ideas kept popping in my vision...so we're using it one last time today.

This is the bundle

Screenshot 2024-11-06 111727

and here's today's gift tag...

Tag

This is a bookstyle tag--I've always love this style that opens like a book to write your message inside. For this tag all the complexity is in the image itself---for this reason we can keep the actual tag quite simple--still looks like a million dollars but is a quick and easy creation.

You can simply stamp a gazillion on white cardstock--color them while watching your favorite TV show (or in my case listening to a reocorded book--that way I don't miss any of the action in the picture LOL).   Then cut your cardstock, fold in half, punch a  hole and thread through your twine or ribbon.

We did add the 'Merry Christmas'  stamped in red on a small piece of white cardstock since we overlayed the tag front with the Dashing Design embossed layer for some added interest.

And we topped it all off with 3 of those darling little peppermint dots that just must be used with a gingerbread house!

Stop back by next week to see a new creation!

12 Weeks of Christmas Week #7 (Part 1) Revisiting Humble Home Bundle with a Simple Card

This week is 12 Weeks of Christma Week #7 (Part 1) Revisiting Humble Home Bundle with a Simple Card. Last week we created a card and a gift card using this awesome bundle.  If you missed those you'll want to check them out Tuesday's card and Thursday's card.

This is the bundle

This is our card for today...

Reindeer frame cards

Today we embedded our cute little gingerbread house in an woodsy view created with the frame die from Reindeer Fun bundle.  Can't you just feel the warmth inside the house as we peek through the evergreen boughs of the surrounding forest!

We used the Pool Party underlay to provide the "label" area to stamp the greeting (also from the Reindeer Fun stamp set) making it quick and easy -- no extra cutting.

The whole thing is layered on red cardstock embossed with Dashing Designs embossing folder--giving us some needed texture to the card front but not overpowering the focal point.

Simply stamping the gingerbread house and coloring with the Blends--we punch out the house and insert it into the woods.

Stop back by Thursday to see our last use of this bundle

Front& the inside where you put the gift card...
InsideIt's one of those quick & simple deisgns that is easily converted into "just a card" by simply cutting a card base (8 1/2 X 5 1/5, score long side at 4 1/4) instead of the longer version with one more score/fold to hold the gift card...it's so nice to have a design like this on hand that is convertible & easy to do.

We used the Real Red cardstock base...added a Granny Apple layer & topped it with the Reindeer Days designer series paper.

Here's today's card

Card front& a closer look....

Card cu

Isn't that designer paper (Reindeer Days) absolutely a perfect background for this little gingerbread house--with the trees in the background and those lovely deer roaming about on the snowy ground.

The base is Pool Party with a top layer using Dashing Designs embossing folder.

Our humble home is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Blends--that Pecan Pie is just the right shade for gingerbread. The Daffodil "lights" up the inside of the home making it look all warm and cozy inside. We popped up the house on dimensionals to give it that 3D look.

The narrow border of Shaded Spruce lining the top and bottom of the designer paper just set off the images quite nicely.

The Merry Christmas is stamped on the snow in Real Red ink and embellished with 3 red rhinestones that are colored with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend.

Stop back by Thursday to see the second part of Week 6 using Humble Home.

& the Season of Elegance Specialty Paper..Screenshot 2024-10-30 114246

Here's today's gift card holder...

Peacock& the inside..

Open& the greeting...

InsideThis holder (when folded) measures 4 X 5 1/2...which fits nicely in the medium sized envelopes. However, the best gift card for this one is the card itself (without the cardboard holder on which some are sold).

The base is Pool Party cardstock which is a wonderful contrast to the Pretty Peacock & gold of the Season of Elegance paper used for this one.

The base snowflake is Pool Party (again for great contrast) & the solid image in Peacock. The detailed snowflake is die cut from gold foil to coordinate with the gold in the designer paper.

The greetings in the One of a Kind stamp set are perfect for gift card holders as we used in this one "A little something just for you." Again, this verse is not just a holiday verse but also can be used throughout the year for any gift-giving occasion.

We jazzed up the inside a bit using the 3 sizes of snowflake stamps and the swirl to add a hint of movement.

Stop back by next Tuesday to see what we're creating in Week 6.

*Stamp 3 snowflakes and swirl in Coastal Cabana ink

3. Cut Peacock designer paper 2 1/2 X 5 1/4; adhere to the top front flap
4.Cut Peacock designer paper 1 X 5 1/4; adhere to the bottom front flap

*Die cut the solid snowflake from Pretty Peacock cardstock
*Die cut the detailed snowflake from gold foil; adhere to the solid snowflake

This paper is absolutely exquisite... it's not primarily holiday paper so can be used throughout the year!

Today's gift card holder....

Red the inside...

Inside red

The base of today's gift card holder is designed to hold the gift cards embedded on a cardboard base. The left side (as it is open) has the pocket in which the gift card can be slipped

This is a regular sized card (4 1/4 X 5 1/2) & fits nin the regular medium envelopes for giving--either in person or by sending through the mail.  (P.S. The additional weight of the gift card may cause an increase in postage-- check before mailing).

The snowflake medallion on the card front is from the One of  a Kind die set---the background (solid red cardstock) is a wonderful contrast for the gold glimmer snowflake die cut. The Glimmer paper (2024-26 In Color Glimmer Paper)...it's the Peach Pie sheet which is a perfect gold for our Christmas season.

We layered that combo on a gold foil medallion to give it a shining boost on the red/gold foil card front!

Stop back by Thursday to see the second part of Week 5 creating another gift card holder.

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 2) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set

Today we're creating 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 2) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set. Tuesday we used this set to create a stunning stained glass Christmas card...if you missed it check it out here Click here for Tuesday's card.

This is the lovely stamp set we're using this week to create our Christmas projects...

Screenshot 2024-10-22 155158This beautiful set  featuring the stained glass look is an Online Exclusive product--meaning that you will not see it in a catalog but only in the online Stampin'Up! store.

Here's today's design....

Tag

We bagan the design with the super cute tag die from Greetings of the Season die set...aside from the stunning shapes for tags,..one of the great features is that the die cuts the hole for the twine or ribbon while cutting out the tag. The other fun feature is the stitching all around the main design

We used the bells design for this tag although all the designs in this set would make a beautiful tag.

We colored the bell using alternating Light & Dark Daffodil Deligh Blends for the bells and Light & Dark Real Red for the bow.  The "clanger" is created from a small Drusy gold embellishment--and that is super sparkling!

The 'For You' (Greetings of the SEason) is stamped in Garden Green to help balance the red-gold-green pattern on this tag.

The final touch is the three red rhinestones...we used our Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend to give the color to the plain Basic Rhinestone Jewels...and scattered them around the 'for you.'

Stop in next week to see what Week 5 will bring in our 12 Weeks of Christmas series.

Note: If you haven't joined the monthly Card Club with NO obligations.... watching your emails to on 10/15/24. If you don't receive my emails-sign up right now--click the button at the side --you'll immediately receive them (& you'll get some free projects too).

*Adhere 2 small gold Drusy embellishments for the bell 'clanger'

12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 1) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set

Today we're creating 12 Weeks of Christmas Week 4 (Part 1) Using So Very Merry Stamp Set. This is a fun "stained glass look" stamp set with tons of great coloring possibilities!

Here's the set we are using...

Screenshot 2024-10-22 155158

And here's today's card we are creating with this set!

CardThe beautiful arch die is from the Garden Meadows Dies--the arch blends nicely with the circular stamp of the angel.

We chose to do simple coloring consisting of the Light & Dark Boho Blue and the Light & Dark Fresh Freesia. By alternating these the Light & Dark color we maintain the stained glass look but don't get really crazy with coloring.

The wings were 'winked' with Wink of Stella which really provides the glimmerful glamour that sets off the entire image.

We used the mix & match greetings from Greetings of the Season--a wonderfully scripted set combined with simpler script to match any of our holiday designs.

Stop back by Thursday to see the second part of Week 4 using So Very Merry.
