Here's the set

Circle

A bit closer look....

Circle cuThis tree uses the dies from this Frosted Forest set...there are multiple ways to achieve varied 'looks' that we'll be exploring in later posts...but for today we're keeping it quick and simple. The detail in the leaves overlay is phenomenal...to see the individual leaves is super cool!

The card base background used the Painted Texture embossing folder--this folder has become an Online Exclusive product now--so you won't find it in the catalog but rather online.

We've spotlighted the tree and verse on a lovely accented circle from the Spotlight on Nature die set. It's a super set of dies that have varied decorative edges in multiple sizes.

We've embellished the open spaces with Adhesive-Backed Metallic dots...these come in 3 shades and the ones used in our card are a sort of copper metallic hue.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating!

Dsp

& a bit closer look....

Today we're using the stamp of the large ?maple tree---it's fun because we can use several of our coloring tools to color the foliage--we used the sponge dauber which gives us a soft varigated green for the leaves. You can use your blending brushes or your Blends to color in.

Our background is planks of Country Woods designer paper layered on the Smoky Slate card base. This makes the greenery pop quite nicely.

We've added a blue bird and used some of our new Adhesive-backed Transparent Dots in Garden Green--this is one of those colors of which we seem to have very few embellishments.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday  to see what we're creating with this set!

Green

And a bit closer look...

Green cu

We used the Thick Basic White cardstock for our card base because this is a bit sturdier than the regular Basic White we used for the top layer. We put that layer through the Painted Texture embossing folder...this gives us a pretty background without overpowering our main image.

The tree leaves are die cut from that Shy Shamrock Glimmer paper (2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Paper). What a gorgeous green for our leaves (imagine what that will look like in our Christmas cards this year--absolutely stunning)!

The Pool Party label is die cut with the 2 3/4 dotted rectangle from the Everyday Details dies.  Doesn't the inner outline of dots simply set off that eyecatching label? We added 2 of the gold birds from Birds & Dragonflies embellishments that are just the perfect size to accompany this tree.

The final embellishment is hte 3 small gold pearls (Blooming Pearls) that give a dash of interest to the birthday greeting.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week  to see what we're creating!

Quick & Easy Sympathy Card Using Loveliest Tree Stamp Set

Today we're creating a Quick & Easy Sympathy Card Using Loveliest Tree Stamp Set. This is a new set in the Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog.  If you are an old timer with Stampin'Up! products you'll remember Lovely As a Tree stamp set that was with us for nearly 20 years--one that will be remembered for many years.  This tree set is  a larger image of one of the trees in that stamp set.

Here's the new set

Thumbnail_IMG_8064

This is today's card...

Misty

And a bit closer...

Misty cu
Since our focal point is this lovely large tree we want to keep the eyes trained on that image. We stamped this is Misty Moonlight on white cardstock then die cut the image.

This is popped up on a light Misty Moonlight background. This designer paper (Take to the Sky) could be viewed as tree rings from a cross-section of a tree trunk.  What a fun use for this design intended for the plane stamp set.  It gives you an interesting background without taking away from the main image.

We embellished with the Misty Moonlight gems in the Tinsel Gems 3-pack--just a perfect match!

Since this set is nuetral in gender it can be used for multiple occasions...birthday, thinking of you, sympathy....and on and on. A great card to have several in your stash ready to use when an appropriate occasion arises. We stamped the sympathy verse in Misty Moonlight ink giving us this beautiful monchromatic card.

Of course, you can use multiple colors and create a totally different 'look.' What fun.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Tips on a Quick & Easy Simple Card Using You Are Beautiful Stamp Set

Today we're learning Tips on a Quick & Easy Simple Card Using You Are Beautiful Stamp Set. Tuesday we learned to stamp on Designer Series Paper to create a beautiful card--if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This is the stamp set from the new annual catalog--You Are Beautiful...

Stamp setAnd here's today's creation...

SpruceWith a closer peek....

Spruce cu

As you can see the designer paper used for today's card has a much more bold design that really catches your attention!  This would not be one that we'd use to stamp on directly as we did on Tuesday. Instead we used a crisp stitched Nested Essentials die and we popped it up on dimensionals. we also added the thin white border at the top and bottom of the designer paper to give it a bit of pizzaz.

We stamped the smaller leaf image in Shaded Spruce ink along side the greeting in black ink--we needed a bit of contrast between the two so switching to black did the trick

We embellished with the Shy Shamrock 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems.  These cuties are a great enhancement because they are not quite as dark and the Spruce designer paper yet they are in great complementary color.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stamping on Designer Paper Using You Are Beautiful Stamp Set

Today we're Stamping on Designer Paper Using You Are Beautiful Stamp Set.  This sweet set has a couple of simple images plus 4 great greetings!

Here's the stamp set--it's a new one in the annual catalog...

Stamp setThis is today's creation...

Daff

And a bit closer look....

Daff cuSometimes your fresh pallete looks great with a bit of interest in the background. For this card we selected a design that was an image but it stays in the background and doesn't over whelm what we are trying to create.

We used two of the Perennial Postage dies to create a fantastic frame for the designer paper and the cardstock.

We stamped the main image in a relatively dark color--Old Olive and the greeting in black ink. We chose these to make sure our stamping had sufficient contrast so it didn't get lost in the background image.

We added the Bloomin Pearls (gold) and a cute little brass butterfly to spice up the big picture. In addition a double twine bow "tied" it all together.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Creating a Double Background Using Sketched Plaid Stamp

Today we're Creating a Double Background Using Sketched Plaid Stamp. Tuesday we used this stamp & explained how to get 61 different colors using this technique. If you missed it check it out here... Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This is the stamp we're using this week...

Screenshot 2024-05-22 195344

Here's today's card with the double background...

Double  a bit closer...

Double cuIn this close up you see we used 2 ink colors...Bubble Bath &Fresh Freesia.  We inked the entire stamp with Freesia & stamped the cardstock. We washed it, inked up with Bubble Bath & re-stamped over the Freesia. We moved the stamp just slightly to the right a bit to be sure we stamped a separate image over the Freesia. What a lovely stunning background.

Todays design gives us unlimited combinations of color to create just about any combo you need for your background. Oue combo uses two inks that are close together in color, however, you can use colors that are very different for another unique look.

The Shaded Spruce stem is decorated with tiny flowers die cut from Petunia Pop Glimmer Paper.  This die is Stampin'Up!'s brain child--it's a long die with 8 flowers--you can cut all of them at one time! It's wonderful & well worth purchasing for a set of large & a set of small flowers. It's a brilliant way to cut small images.

We've added the sparkle to this card using the Faceted Iridescent gems--they capture a bit of freesia in their sparkle.. just a perfect coordination with the color set we used.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating then!
