Designing a Sweet Thinking of You Card with Hearts & Hugs Bundle in Peach Pie

Today we're Designing a Sweet Thinking of You Card with Hearts & Hugs Bundle in Peach Pie. Tuesday we created a Thinking of You card that was appropriate for all ages...if you missed it check it out here..Click here to see Tuesday's card.

Here's that new Hearts & Hugs set we're using this week...

Thumbnail

Here's today's creation....

Peach

& a bit closer look...

Peach cu

You'll notice we're using 3 strips of the same color cardstock--that new Peach Pie--for our background...this gives a bit of extra interest rather than just a single layer.

The embossing folder is the new Dashing Designs--one of my favorites so you'll be seeing it frequently.  It's a kind of "all over" design that gives texture but doesn't jump off the card to dominate.

That absolutely sweet arc of hearts is accomplished with a single die and shows the under color of the layer beneath.  You could also die cut these hearts in another color (or colors) and inlay them to add more pizzazz to that effect,

The greeting forms a sort of flower-box base--we simply cut the same color carstock as used for the stems & leaves and then layered it over the grassy part of that die cut. We bumped it up with dimensionals to form the "box" appearance.

The flower centers are the dazzling new Iridescent facted gems! I suspect these will go out of stock soon with all the orders I've been placing for them. The nice part of this set of embellishments is that you get tons of the large and small ones so you can use them when making multiple cards and not run out.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this set!

Creating a Thinking of You Card for All Ages Using Hearts & Hugs Bundle

Today we're Creating a Thinking of You Card for All Ages Using Hearts & Hugs Bundle. With so many new stamp sets in the Stampin' Up! new Annual Catalog it's tough to pick just one to begin our creating experience in paper crafting!

Today's bundle is the new Hearts & Hugs set...

This is the card that wlil be good for any age...guys or the ladies..

White

& a bit closer...

Wthie cu

This is one of those super cute sets with a mouse, walrus, gerbils, & XXXXX--it's great for guys, gals, kids, & teens! A really good one to have in your stash.

The background here is the Painted Texture embossing folder....gives some texture but doesn't overpower your focal point which is relatively small on this card.

Now if we are sending this to a guy we may want to substitute another color for the Pretty in Pink--so we could go with Daffodil Delight or Coastal Cabana for a more male appeal.

The verse can be switched out with any of the other verses in this stamp set t0 fit your occasion--just measure the sentiment and cut the white cardstock to fit.  Another technique for this is to stamp the sentiment on white cardstock then cut out with your Paper Snips--you can even cut out the words separately or in phrases with rough cuts (not precise rectangles) and postion them randomly to give it a less formal appearanced.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this set!

Designing a Beautiful Birthday Card with Poised Peony Stamp Set

Today we're Designing a Beautiful Birthday Card with Poised Peony Stamp Set. Tuesday we used this same set for a pretty little All Occasions card--if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This set is one of those simple beauties with three frequently used greetings--"hello," " birthday" and "in my thoughts." These verses can cover just about any occasion or situation you may encounter. And, as we mentioned Tuesday the script is a perfect match to the line drawings of our images.

Here's todays creation...

Small

And a bit closer look...

Small cu

One of my new favorite color combos is Navy and Yellow and one of my favorite new yellows is Lemon Lolly...so this card displays them both quite nicely.

The background of navy and white designer series paper is from the Mediterranean Blooms DSP. Amazingly this set of paper has a gorgeous array of yellows, oranges, and navy on one side and the other side of all of the designs is a wonderful set of Night of Navy and white. Some of the images are quite large and others, like these, are relatively small. This gives us a selection of patterns that coordinates very well.

We've used some of the new Gold & Silver Trim Combo to enhance the small flower. It's approximately 1/8" wide.

The embellishment dots are the Opal Rounds Assortment in the Mediterranean Blooms Suite of products. We rarely have Navy embellishments so I was particularly happy to see these--a perfect enhancement for our yellow & navy card.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Tuesday to see what we're creating then!

Creating an All Occasion Card Using Stampin'Up! Poised Peony

Today we're Creating an All Occasion Card Using Stampin'Up! Poised Peony stamp set.  This little cutie can be easily missed in the new Stampin'Up Annual Catalog on page 28. Sometimes our eyes get drawn to the colorful images and we simply miss something else.

Here is the stamp set...

This is our creation for today

Large

And a bit closer.

Large cu

If you enjoy coloring this is one of those line images on which you can use those Blends to shade a bit--the petals lend themselves quite nicely to shading....and, if not, then just color with one of the blends and it will look lovely also.

One feature I love with this set is the perky script that is just perfect with these line drawings--it really coordinates quite nicely.

The Country Lace Designer paper peeping from behind the focal point adds just that touch of interest that makes the card grab your attention instead of fading into the background.

Check out that fantastic embossing folder--Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder--isn't that the perfect background.

Then we topped it all off with the 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Gems...sparkle, shine and matching color (Petunia Pop)!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Creating Another Easy Card for Men, Teens, & Kids with Adventurous Sky Bundle

Today we're Creating Another Easy Card for Men, Teens, & Kids with the Adventurous Sky Bundle. Last Tuesday we created a card great for all occasions...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

As we mentioned Tuesday this is a brand new set in the Stampin'Up! new Annual catalog--if you don't have a copy contact me and we'll arrange to get a copy to you ([email protected]).

This is the stamp set we're playing with this week...

Screenshot 2024-05-01 123855

Here's today's simple & quick card...

Circle

& a bit closer...

Circle cu

We designed the 'frame' using a stitched circle (Stylish Shapes) to open up the 'plane in the sky' view.  Setting the clouds and plane on the Boho blue layer underneath provides all we need for a beautiful sky setting.

Note the embossed top white layer. This was created with the Metal Plate embossing folder that we used on Tuesday's card. But it certainly has a different appearance, doesn't it? That's because we turned it to the 'backside' after embossing with the folder and we get a 'pillow' type of embossing.  This nicely embeds the sky scene we created.

We used the birthday greeting but this card also lends itself to one of those designs that you can create several for your stash and just add the appropriate greeting when you need the card.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating!

*Stamp on White CS in Memento ink & die cut the mediun plane and 3 clouds.
*Color plane with Light Boho Blue Blends.
*Use Wink of Stella on the clouds.
*Adhere clouds to Boho square; add plane with dimensionals--see photo.

3. Cut Basic White cardstock 4 x 5 1/4; die cut the circle with 3" diameter circle (Stylish Shapes) in the upper half. Put through Metal Plate embossing folder. Using the "back" side as the front--adhere over the Boho square using dimensionals. Add additional dimensionals to adhere this unit to card front.

4. Cut White CS 3/8 X 2; stamp 'happy birthday' in Memento ink and adhere under circle with dimensionals.

2 planes

& the closer up view

2 planes cu

This is a super design that can use a variety of greetings---one of those cards that you can have several in your stash to put on the greeting needed at the time you need to send it.

The embossing on the card front is the Metal Plate folder--just enough "maleness" to be perfect for matching the designer paper.

This DSP (a new one) is Take to the Sky.  The section in this card is one of those on the sheet with multiple ready to use pieces you just simply cut from the sheet and use as a layer--ready to go.

Here's the complete set

Screenshot 2024-05-01 124926

This is the sheet from which we cut the diamond Boho layer in the upper right corner..there are several terrific pieces ready to go plus 6 tags at the bottom of this sheet.

All Occasions Handmade Card Using Under the Moon Stamp Set for Men, Ladies, and Teens

Today we're designing an All Occasions Handmade Card Using Under the Moon Stamp Set for Men, Ladies, & Teens. Tuesday wew created a beautiful birthday card...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

This is the new stamp set we're using...this set is terrific for mixing and matching images since the stamp images all contain the shading within the stamp...this means the images look very professional with minimal effort on our part.

Stamp

This is today's card....

Coastal

& a little closer look...

Coastal cu

We set our sailboat atop the water image stamped in Coastal Cabana ink with a sparkle from the Wink of stella to catch the light glimmering on the water's surface.

In the sky we have lovely puffy clouds sailing overhead and a silver foil moon shining down. (At last we have silver foil again after quite some time of trying to find something to coordiate with our lovely blue hues!)

We added a touch more of sparkle using 3 small Basic Rhinestone Jewels to jazz up the focal point.

The scene is set on the Countryside Corners die cuts--two are used to give us the telescoping effect that layering permits. Needing just a touch of texture in the background we layered all this on the Exposed Brick embossed Coastal Cabana.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating then!

Simple Handmade Birthday Card for Men Using Under the Moon Stamp Set

Today we're creating a Simple Handmade Birthday Card for Men Using Under the Moon Stamp Set. This set is a new one in the Stampin'Up! 2024 Annual Catalog & is one of those sets that make us look like pros without really trying.

Here's the new stamp set...Under the Moon

Stamp

This is today's card

Misty

& a bit closer look

Misty cuAmazingly enough, this beauty uses only 3 stamps...the circular stamp gives us the moon embedded in a few clouds...this is stamped in Boho Blue.  The "water" image is stamped in Misty Moonlight with a few streaks of Wink of Stella to give that moonlight glint on the water.

Our dolphins are stamped in black ink to appear as if shadows against the moonbeams.

The greeting comes from a new set also called "Simply Said" and the greeting banner acts as the break between the stamped images and the designer series paper...speaking of which--it's from the Take to the Sky DSP (one of the new ones also).  Not only does the color blend well with the stamped blues burt the pattern continues the watery image above it.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating using this set!

We can customize the front with a gift specifically for the person to whom we are sending it. So if sending to a guy--maybe the champagne bottle ..if to a teen girl maybe the gift bag.

The scalloped oval is from a new die set called Unbounded Love Dies.

The card base is Misty Moonlight which coordinates well with the "eyelet" designer series paper... Country Lace.  To keep this theme we also used the Eyelet embossing folder on the upper layer of the card front.

We created those blue rhinestones using the Dark Boho Blue Blends on the Basic Rhinestone Jewels...so we can create any matching color of stones that we need!

Inside our card holds the gift card & the upper inside is for your greeting & messsage!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.
