Hbd cu

You can see that beautiful diamond design just makes the central focus on this card pop! It adds depth as well as fun to enhance the Happy Birthday die cut. The greeting is die cut from the Old Olive Glimmer paper (another OE product--comined with Melon Mambo & White glimmer paper) using the Wanted to Say Die set. This terrific die set also included the flower and stem dies that are used on this card.

The flower center is one of the Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins (another OE product) that peps up the flower and shines!!

The designer paper on the two sides of this card are from the Flowering Zinnia DSP--these tiny zinnias are a perfect coordination with the flower we are using to focus below the greeting.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

How to Create Faux-Textured Die Cuts Using Textured Timber Stamps

Today's card demonstrates How to Create Faux-Textured Die Cuts Using Textured Timber Stamps. Last week we used this stamp set to design 2 fun cards--if you missed them check them out here  Click here for Tuesday's card and here Click here for Thrusday's Card.

Here's our card for today...

Granny

& a bit closer...

Granny cu

Our secret trick today is to create that "textured" appearance of our die cuts. We can achieve this by stamping with the Timber "board" stamp in a darker ink than used for the die cut leaves---this gives us a very interesting focal point.

To avoid a solid looking mass of leaves we used two cardstock colors--Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party...this provides the variation that makes the otherwise "too much green" very appealing.

The Mossy Meadow ink used with the Textured Timber "board" stamp is the "texture" that makes this image pop.

That gorgeous white medallion is cut from Basic White using the 3 1/2 die from Thoughtful Expressions...such a lovely edging to coordinate with the natural leaves.

The background on which we layered the medallion used the 'star' design from the Basic 3D embossing folders..this is a very cute overall design the provides interest and texture.

The gold butterfly (Designer Tags Online Exclusive) adds the loveliness to the natural leafy focus.

We tied the bow in the natural ribbon (Real Red/Burlap Combo-Online Exclusive) and 'tied it all together' at the bottom.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're up to!

Remember:

*Use this month's regular host code (4AESVGDR)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Granny Apple Green cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Granny Apple CS 4 X 5 1/4-put through 'star' folder (Basic 3D embossing folders); adhere to card front.

3. Die cut 3 1/2 medallion (Thoughtful Expressions) from Basic White CS; adhere to middle of card front.

4. Stamp Granny Apple CS & Parakeet Party CS with the 'board' Textured Timber stamp in Mossy Meadow ink.
*Die cut one set leaves (Textured Floral) from Parakeet and 2 sets from Granny Apple.
    *Adhere to medallion--see sample.

5. Die cut butterfly (Designer Tags) from gold foil
*Adhere 1 large green Shiny Sequin to head, adhere 1 small rhinestone to middle of sequin

Creating Random Background Using Textured Timber Online Exclusive Stamps

Today we're Creating Random Background Using Textured Timber Online Exclusive Stamps. Last Thursday we created another card with the 'timber' background...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Thursday's creation.

Here's today's feature

Zinnia

& closer...

Zinnia cu

Today's design uses simple random stamping to form a 'textured' appearance that makes that white space work for us by forming an interesting backdrop.  In our card we used Parakeet Party ink because it was lighter than our base card in Granny Apple Green.  By lightening the ink it doesn't compete with the base color and so doesn't drag our eyes away from the focal point.

Speaking of focal points---we're using the Simple Zinnia stamp set (one of the Online Exclusives just released--you can find a summary of them here...Summary of Online Exclusive Products.

These perky flowers are colored with Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sorbet--just singing with springtime freshness!

We've embellished the background with the new Shiny Sequins that add just a touch of colorful shine to give our overall a bit of pep!

The gold zigzag peeking out of the left side is a gold layer die cut along the edge with the Basic Borders dies--this touch raises our awesome level up a few notches!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we are up to with the Textured Timber set!

Here's today's card...

Magnolia

& a bit closer...

Magnolia cuDo you ever need a designer paper background & can't find exactly what you need in your stash? This card demonstrates creating your own designer paper--& in precisely the color you need.

We've used the "board" design times 3 for the timber paper on which we've built the focal point of the card. The "board" is stamped in Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cardstock--giving just enough texture to make this a stunning card.

The medallion die cut is from the Thoughtful Expressions set & the saucey embossing used the 'crosshatch' folder (3D Basic folder -  Online Excusive product). The gold foil still catches the light but doesn't our lovely flower.

The flower bud & leaves is from the Magnolia Mood set (Online Exclusive)--dainty & just the perfect size for this card. The overlay label is also from the Thoughtful Expressions die.

Of course, you can always substitute the greeting on cards for just your perfect occasion. This verse is from the Bold Bouquet set.

One More Card Using Encircled in Nature Stampin'Up! Online Exclusive Bundle

Today we're creating One More Card Using Encircled in Nature Stampin'Up! Online Exclusive Bundle. Last week we created 2 beautiful cards using this set...if you missed it you can check them out here Click here for Tuesday's card and here Click here for Thursday's card.

Here is today's design

Berry

& a bit closer

Berry cuWe're using that awesome greeting again--what a wonderful wish to send!

Beside the greeting are 2 die cuts from Soft Shimmer (Bubble Bath)...these are created with mirror image dies--this is always a wonderful plus because you can place them curving in either direction...you can even use these on the circle curving either way--a fun way to spice up the the wreath.

We added a bit of shine to the front banner by using edges in holograph paper--that really fun specialty paper that catches the light in many colors.

The back wreath is actually cut into 2 pieces and raised at the top and lowered at the bottom to provide that beauty of a berry wreath that was big enough to adjust adequately to back the banner.

Then so we don't skimp on sparkle we added 3 small clear/silver Sparkle Gems around the  greeting and slightly above the wreath.

Simple but very beautiful.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we are up to!

Screenshot 2024-02-19 110724Here's our design for today...

Daffofil& a little closer

Daff cuIsn't this a beautiful bright card with a pretty wonderful wish for the recipient?

The card base is in Daffodil Delight (which is like looking at sunshine, right?) and the dry embossing is created with the Cane Weave folder.

Over this we layered a white circle cut with the Deckled Circle dies--gives that edge such a lovely casual appearance.

The "ring" is stamped in Memento ink and we've nestled that sweet flower duo in the bottom of the circle...then stamped the verse in Memento too. Blends (alcohol markers) are used to color the images.

We enhanced the circle by adding a gold/vanilla bow at the bottom & then popped up the entire layer with dimensionals to add a bit of depth to the design.

And it wouldn't be complete without adding a dash of shine with the Gold Blooming Pearls around the greeting.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Here's today's card...

Navy

and a bit closer

Navy cuWe're focusing on the tree dies & stamps in this card--we first stamped the treeline as our background over which we layerd the die cut white trees...these dies lend themselves to lots of creativity.

Our focal circle was created with one of the "ring" dies--if you use both of them together you can create a tree-like ring circle--but we just used the inner one to create what appears to be a circle cut in the front of the card but in reality is just a circle adhered to the card front.

The moon & stars stamp is our night time focus and we accented the stars with more sparkling rhinestones for added detail.

The designer paper is from the Countryside Inn collection with the little white flowers actually adding to the 'stars in the sky' look that we're achieving here.
