Card #2 Using Most Adored Designer Paper -- a Sale-a-bration Freebie

Today we're designing Card #2 Using Most Adored Designer Paper -- a Sale-a-bration Freebie! Last Thursday we created our first beauty with this paper...if you missed it check it out here... Click here to see Thursday's card.

Check out all that gold foil embedded in this paper...it just creates such a rich design...

Screenshot 2024-02-09 103148

Here's today's creation...

2and a slightly closer look...

2 cu

The Flirty Flamingo Swirl paper in this series is just perfect as the "background"  focal point. This fun background is created by first die cutting the Designer paper with the 3" stitched circle die..then cutting that circle into 4 equal 3/4" strips.

Then creating that spotlight by reassembling the circle leaving about 1/8" between the strips! Since we want that designer paper to be our "attention getter" we just added the leaf stem in gold foil, tied it all off with a gold cord bow, and then last (but never least) we adorned this beautiful combo with a trio of gold sequins.

You've probably also noticed the embossed white layer--what a stunning addition that Softly Sophisticated embossing folder made to our background. This fold is also part of the Softly Sophisticated Bundle that is FREE during Jan/Feb Sale-a-bration. This wonderful time of Sale-a-bration is nearing it's end...don't delay...nab all your freebies quickly!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by & see us next Tuesday to see what we are up to!

Remember:

*Use this month's regular host code (E3762BHA)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, socre long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

3. Cut Basic White CS 3 7/8 X 5 1/8, run through Softly Sophisticated embossing folder and adhere to card front.

Creating with Most Adored Designer Series Paper Free During Sale-a-bration

Today we're Creating with Most Adored Designer Series Paper Free During Sale-a-bration! There are only a few more days to earn this gorgeous set of papers by placing a $50 order.  Nab it quickly before it goes away forever!

Here's the Most Adored DSP...

Screenshot 2024-02-09 103148

Notice the stunning gold foil inlay on the white sides of the DSP...such a lovely complement to the red, flirty and white of the reverse sides. Today's creation uses the Flirty Flamingo swirl DSP...here's today's card...

1-3This is one of those times when I really wish I could capture the gold shine in the photo...here's a closer peek...

1 cu

To provide a charming frame for our focal point we used a base card of Flirty and subsequent layers of white and Sweet Sorbet...then we used the Very Best Trio punch on all the corners---what card would not be lovely with that kind of detail!

Because the paper design is so dramatic we didn't want to take away from focusing on it and so we used 2 berry sprays (Magnificently Made)--one in gold foil and one in Flirty Flamingo.

We used a Gold/Vanilla bow behind which to tuck the 'Hello There' sentiment and we used gold embossing to coordinate with the gold foil.

For a touch of sparkle we added 3 small gold sparkle gems to the side--just enough but not too much!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by & see us next Tuesday to see what we are up to!

Remember:

3. Cut Sweet Sorbet CS 3 3/4 X 5

4. Cut Flirty Swirl design (Most Adored DSP) 3 5/8 X 4 7/8

5. Using Very Best Trio punch on all 3 of the above--punch all 4 corners

6. Layer these on the card base,

7. Die cut the berry spray (Gorgeously Made) from Gold Foil and from Flirty Flamingo CS; adhere to top layer.

8. Cut approximately 7" gold/vanilla ribbon, tie in bow, adhere to stems.

Creating Another Beauty with Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper Sale-a-bration Item

Today we're Creating Another Beauty with Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper Sale-a-bration Item. Last Thursday we created our first card with the DSP. If you missed it you can check it out here Click here to see Thursday's card.

This DSP (free with a $50 purchase) is absolutely stunning...so many different designs that scream spring in lovely subtle colors that almost make you hear those birds twittering amongh the branches and flowers.

Here's a peek at the DSP which, as I mentioned Thursday, the photo just doesn't capture all the  sweetness & charm of the painted designs. And those backsides coordinate so wonderfully that it makes pairing them a breeze both on the same sheet and among the 6 sheets of this paper.

Screenshot 2024-02-02 111914

Here's today's creation...

Celebrate& a bit closer

Celebrate cuWe used the Petal Park punch for those cute little white flowers that contrast nicely with the back side of this sheet--the Freesia color is in graduated shades that make it wonderful as a background which is not just a single color. The  flower centers are those wonderful flat-backed pearls...the flat back makes them perfect for embellishments since they are flat and don't add heighth to the card.

That glimmery 'Celebrate' is die cut with the Wanted to Say Dies from Soft Shimmer paper using the Berry Burst sheet.

The background of Bubble Bath cardstock is embossed with the Cane Weave afolder that coordinates well with the natural theme of the card.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by & see us next Tuesday to see what we are up to!

Remember:

Directions:

1. Cut Bubble Bath CS 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White CS 4 X 5 1/4; adhere to card front.

3. Cut DSP (Flight & Airy - birds on branches) 3 1/4 x 2 1/2; adhere to upper left corner of white layer leaving approximately 1/16" borders (see sample).

*Punch 3 dogwood blossoms from Basic White cardstock with the Petal Park punch; lay the bloom in your palm & using a dull lightly pointed tool push gently to raise the petal edges
*Adhere large flatbacked pearls to center of each bloom
*Adhere these to this piece of DSP (see sample)

4. Cut backside of that same DSP design 1 1/4 X 3 1/4; adhere to right upper corner leaving approxinately 1/16 border showing (see sample)

5. Cut Bubble Bath CS 1 3/4 X 3 7/8; run through Cane Weave folder; adhere to bottom of white layer leaving 1/16" border all around.

Creating with Sale-a-bration Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper

Today we're Creating with Sale-a-bration Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper. This DSP is one of the freebies you can earn during Jan-Feb when you place a $50 order.  It's such a gorgeous paper and has beautiful backsides that rival the focal sides for usefulness.

Here are the papers... Screenshot 2024-02-02 111914I must say the photo does not do the papers justice as we often experience with photos of the cards we make.

Here's today's card  featuring this paper

Thinking& a closer look

Thinking cu

This card uses the same page of the designer paper--front side uses the birds on branches while flipping to the other side we get the stunning "sky" paper that is so useful with many different stamp & die sets.

When using designer paper it's quite easy to select the coordinating cardstock colors--simply look on the back of the packing cardboard and the colors listed there are the ones used in the paper design. You can select one of these that best suits your design and know you will have a great color combo.

Note the pretty "pink" foil gems...these are the Iridescent Foil Gems that we "colored" with Dark Flirty Flamingo Blends.  It's so convenient to have any color gems you need with your color schemes since we can use our alcohol markers to match or contrast our colors.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by & see us Tuesday to see what we are creating again with this paper.

Screenshot 2024-01-26 102553 One of my downline, Tracie Clarke, designed & created this card...I thought it was so cute I wanted to share it with you!

Here's the card...

Sloth

& a bit closer...

Sloth cu

The background paper is just perfect for the outdoor jungly look--its the 6X6 Regals Designer Series Paper. Splitting this up into 3 sections---the break up keeps the continuity going yet give the break that the eyes need.

The sloth is swinging cutely from the vines while the aligator checks him out over his shoulder with that cute little grin. Both animals are stamped on white cardstock. Then Tracie outlined the animals & the accents with the darker of the Blends (Crumb Cake & Granny Apple Green), then went back over the entire animal with the lighter color of the Blends. The labels are die cut using the Adoring Hearts dies--layering two of them to give some nice depth.

The accents are the 2023-25 In Color Dots giving the center section a bit of a punch too.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by & see us Thursday to see what we are up to!

Blog - window

a bit closer

Blog - window cuAs you can see we use a piece of the stunning coordinating Designer Series Paper in this card. What a beautiful set of image that can almost be used without embellishment to form your card base or focal point.

This card uses the Deckled rectangles for the top layer combined with the Window Frame die from the Garden Meadows Dies (these are Online Exclusive dies). This provides that lovely arched window through which we can view the painted garden of designer paper.

We embellished that garden with a couple of butterflies--what garden is complete without butterflies?

The lavender stems along the side of the window are cut from the 'grape' foil (Silver foil) & from Highland Heather. We've sparkled up the blooms with a few basic rhinestones. It's all tied together with a silver/white organdy bow that enhances the rhinestones shimmer!
