Week #4 (Part 2) of Christmas Creating a Gift Tag & Gift Card Holder Combo with Stampin'UP! Merriest of Trees

Today we're in Week #4 (Part 2) of Christmas Creating a Gift Tag & Gift Card Holder Combo with Stampin'Up! Merriest Trees. Tuesday we created a lovely card using this set along with Joy of Christmas..if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card

Today we're combining a cute tag incorporated with a gift card holder!

Here's this little cutie...

Tag front

Now, insert the gift card...

Tag w gift card

here's the really cute part....

Tag open w gift cardthis is where you can write your message along side that perfect tree shaped greeting!

So, you purchase a nice mug, wrap, beribbon, add this tag & pop in a gift card--not only does the recipient have something fun to open --they also have a gift card for spending...AND, they think you're a genius for creating this tag/gift card holder combo! Does it get any better?

This design is really 2 pieces--the backing & then the smaller piece scored in the middle & slicing off a diagonal piece. Looks like a million bucks but very simple.

The trick is to adhere the smaller piece to the backing with Tear & Tape around the sides & bottom edge so there's plenty of room to insert the gift card without it sticking to the tape.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week--we're taking a one-week break from our 6 Weeks of Christmas for something special...come check it out on Tuesday.

Remember:

Week 4 of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up Joy of Noel & Merriest Trees in a Holiday Card!

Today we're creating Week 4 of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Joy of Noel & Merriest Trees in Holiday Card!  This card combines a couple of fun sets along with two beautiful papers from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper.

Here's today's design...

Card

& a closer view...

Card cu

Both the marbled red & the marbled green are from the Joy of Christmas DSP...they add just enough interest to grab your attention but not so much that they draw your eye away from the focal point.

We've used the largest greenery & berry image in the Joy of Noel set...a beautiful classic image. We then added a bit of Distressed Gold tiny holly leaves to spark up the arrangement. Tucked behind the greenery die cut are two double pine sprigs in gold foil--they just peep out the side enough to add festivity & keep the attention on the focal point.

The greeting is just the perfect size & shape for the lower right corner & using the gold embossing powder makes it festive and stunning. Speaking of festive we embellished just a bit with 3 gold Festive Pears that sprinkle some shine to the right side of the card.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what project we'll create with one of these bundles.

Week #3 (Part 2) Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Sending Cheer Bundle - Simple Gift Card Holder!

Today we're creating Week #3 (Part 2) Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Sending Cheer Bundle - Simple Gift Card Holder. Tuesday we used this set to create a cute card--if you missed it check it out here...Click here for Tuesday's card.

Here's the Gift Card Holder...with the gift card peeking out...

& here's a closer look...

Gch cu

The base for our gift card holder is a Basic White envelope--quick, simple, easy--just seal, slit off the end and die cut the thumb hole.

All that's left is the decorating!

We added a layer of red topped with the argyle design from the Shining Christmas designer series paper (Online Exclusive paper).

On the white stitched circle we added Santa's hat (all dies from the Sending Cheer). We used small Olive glitter sequins to cover the hanger hole created by the die and to decorate the remainder of the hat.

The verse is stamped in Old Olive and surrounded by Dazzling snowflake die cuts (Wishes All Around).

This is probably the simplest gift card holder base you'll ever tackle ---and one of the cutest!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what set we're playing with then!

Remember:

*Use this month's regular host code (CT9QZ26K)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Seal a white envelope and on one end using the smallest stitched circle die, cut a thumb hole (half circle). Cut off about 1/8" from the entire end of the envelope.

2. Cut 5 1/2 X 4 Real Red cardstock; adhere to the "sealed" side of the envelope--this leaves the back plain and pretty

3. Cut the argyle pattern (Shining Christmas) 3 7/8 X 5 1/4; center over red layer.

4. Die cut 2 3/4" stitched circle (Stylish Shapes) from Basic White cardstock; adhere to center of dsp.

5. Stamp verse in Old Olive ink in lower right quarter.

6. Die cut the hat base from Real Red and the cuff & pompom from white; color with Wink of Stella. Adhere to hat. Use small Olive glitter sequin to hide the die cut hole in the hat- add 3 more to complete the polkadot pattern. Adhere completed hat to circle with dimensionals.

7. Die cut 3 small snowflakes (Wishes All Around) from More Dazzle (silver) paper; adhere to circle--see photo for placement

Week 3 of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Sending Cheer Bundle - a card!

Today we are creating Week 3 of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Sending Cheer Bundle - a Card! Each week for 6 weeks we'll be featuring a different stamp and/or dies---it is hard to believe we are on Week 3....

Screenshot 2023-11-10 135013

This cute set was a bit of a sleeper when I first saw the set in the mini...when I opened the dies and saw they die cut tags and/or ornaments I knew I had a winner here!

Here's today's card with this set...

Card 2What's more fun than to bake cookies over the holidays and serve them on a beautiful silver tray--ok, at my house they don't actually last long enough for the silver tray--but you get the idea in a normal household.

The "tray" is die cut from silver foil using one of the dies in Designer Tags..it's actually 2 parts--the rectangle serves are the bottom of the tray and the outer part is the fancy rim.

The designer paper is an Online Exclusive Shining Christmas--a lovely set of glossy papers in -Cherry Cobbler & Mossy Meadow. The back sides are all Cherry & white without the gloss--such a great set of papers for the holidays.

The gingerbread cookie is stamped in Pecan Pie--just the perfect shade for gingerbread.

The sparkling holly is from the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins. This has provided many an adornment this season!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what project we'll create with this same bundle.

Week #2 (Part 2) of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Beary Cute Bundle!

Today we're creating Week 2 (Part 2) of Christmas Featuring Stampin'Up! Beary Cute Bundle including a cool tip below. Tuesday we created a very cute Christmas card with this set...if you missed it check it out here Beary Cute Christmas Card.

Today's project is a treat holder...

Treat

a bit closer...

Treat cu& the side...

Treat side

We created the long strip from The Old Olive striped design (Beary Christmas DSP).  We used the Very Best Trio punch to give the top corners a very special design. Then using  different corner of the punch we made the ribbon slit.

The sides were created using the Old Olive cardstock to coordiate with the designer paper.

The tree outline is stamped on white cardstock and the overlay is in Mossy Meadow--the darker color makes the tree pop.

To enhance the tree image we place a Very Vanilla stitched circle behind it.

The tree ornaments are theiricescent discs. Tip: if you need more red ones, overcolor them with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Blend (or Dark Real Red).

The top of the tree is adorned with a large Star Trinket.

The top is held together with red ribbon tied with a bow of gold cord.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what set we're playing with then!

*Use this month's regular host code (CT9QZ26K)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Old Olive striped design (Beary Christmas DSP) 2 X 8"; score long side at 3 1/2 from both ends.

*Holding the 2 top ends together, insert into Very Best punch -- punch the right corners; flip over & punch the left corners.
*Still holding the top ends together insert into the ribbon slit corner of the punch & punch.

2. Cut two end pieces 1 X 2"  from Old olive; score long side at 1/2" from each end. Form a U with one strip & using Tear & Tape adhere the outside of the first arm of the U to the inside of the DSP as close to the first score line as you can --then repeat with the other arm of the U adhering it to the opposite arm of the DSP...this forms the "side" of the chocolate trough. Repeat with the other end piece on the other side of the holder.

3. Die cut 1 5/8" stitched circle (Stylish Shapes) from Very Vanilla cardstock; adhere to front of holder.

4. On Very Vanilla cardstock stamp tree outline in black ink; stamp overlay in Mossy Meadow ink (#147111); hand cut.

*Adhere 4 Iridescent Discs to tree; top tree with large Star Trinket.
*Adhere tree to front over circle with dimensionals.

5. Cut approximately 4" red ribbon, slide through ribbon slit; cut approximately 7" gold cord--tie around base of the 2 ends of red ribbon in a bow.

BEARY CUTE BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

Today's project is a card...

Card&  bit closer look...

Card cuWe began with the Timeworn Type embossed background---it's a casual texture that gives the card a jump start. The snowflake designer paper (Beary Christmas) has tons of great designs--all rather relaxed--just perfect for the baby bear.

After stamping the baby bear we sprinkled some small snowflakes around the white layer in Balmy Blue.

We used the tree dies from Merriest Trees and used the smallest one in white for our snow-topped tree. The decorations are the large white sequins (Sequin Trio) and these pick up a bit of the surrounding colorn which helps them be very versatile.

Nice & simple--cute as a bear!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's project below followed by the supply list.

Continue wrapping around until the other end slightly overlaps the attached end. Remove the tape covering from the second end and adhere to attacheded DSP & cup. Press securely.

4. Die cut two light bulb images from coordinating cardstock (I used Real Red & Lemon Lime Twist). On the lightest color stamp "merry" (I used Grann Apple Green on the Lemon Lime bulb). Adhere these bulbs with glue dots overlapping the tops.

5. Adhere a small Basic Jewell Rhinestone on the bulb without the stamped verse.

6. Cut approximately 7" of Garden Green ribbon, tie in bow and ahere where the two bulbs overlap.

7. Add a bit of shred to the cup, pop in the K-cup of choice and click on the lid.

Creating with Stampin'Up! Night Divine, Stars at Night & O Holy Night DSP

Today we're Creating with Stampin'Up! Night Divine, Stars at Night & O Holy Night DSP. Tuesday we presented the November Free Card Kit featuring Night Divine--if you missed that  Click here for Nov FREE Card Kit.

The Night Divine die set is such a useful beautiful set I wanted to use it one more time...here it is

Camel& a closer look at the stars...

Camel cu

I've created about a dozen designs using this set & I've always wanted to use the camel--but for some reason it just didn't work into the design--it was either too large for the area or it was headed in the wrong direction. So today it was going to be the focal point of the card.

I began thinking of a design & thumbing through the O Holy Night DSP-- it all clicked into place.

I cut the DSP sheet to fit the layering & there appeared an opening for a beautiful large star. The Stars at Night dies have a large number of dies that can provide just the right size & design for your creation.  I selected the medium large star that is also in the hybrid folder & then layered a smaller star in Navy.

The last embellishment was to add the Basic Rhinestone Jewels to that star, one of the DSP stars & the third forming the triangle that is pleasing to the eye.

When they say a picture is worth a thousand words...that's this card--at first I planned to add a sentiment but when I tried to add one--it just didn't work--so I thought, don't force it--leave it perfect the way it is.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what set we're playing with then!

Remember:

*Place an order using the special host code (QZZ3RNXY) you'll receive the free November card kit with a $35 order or with a $50 order you can also receive a packet of embellishments.
