One Last Creation Using Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch Thanksgiving Card

Today we're making One Last Creation Using Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch Thanksgiving Card.  As I mentioned Tuesday we are maximizing the ways we can use this wonderful Bundle..it's not just for Halloween. If you missed Monday's Thank You card check it out here Click here for Tuesday's card

Here's our Thanksgiving Card...

Blessing

& a bit closer...

Blessing cu

This beauty is composed of several of the pumpkin images--some we haven't used until today. We also used a variety of colors to really spice up the appeal.

Each pumpkin has it's own "topper"---you can see that some appear to come up from behind the pumpkin. This is achieved by placing a piece of paper (I used a sticky note) over the pumpkin and then stamped the topper (this is called masking)...so when the topper was larger than was convenient--I masked the pumpkin and only part of the stamp then shows.

We accented with Pumpkin Pie rhinestones...we used this technique earlier this month.  We used the Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend to color the Basic Rhinestone Jewels...they dry immediately and we can create any of the colors we need for our projects.

We used the Thanksgiving greeting, but, again, you can substitute birthday, thinking of you, get well...the design is quite versatile.

I hope you enjoyed these past weeks of using this set...it was fun to see what creations we can dream up using a single set.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by nexgt week to see what set we'll be using then!

We are using my favorite plaid designer paper (Them Bones DSP)...I just want a truckload of this sheet! It's a gorgeous blend of Pumpkin & Cajun with a touch of Espresso...warm & inviting.

We stamped & punched out pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, & Daffodil Delight.  These cuties are nestled in the falling leaves in the same colors...can't you just hear them crunching underfoot.

The sparkly pop is provided with the Sparkle Gems--we're using the gold color for this card.

A Simple Cutie Using Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch & Them Bones DSP

Today we're creating A Simple Cutie Using Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch & Them Bones DSP. Tuesday we also created a really awesome card using this pair, if you missed it check it out here Click here for Tuesday's card.

The autumn plaid in the Them Bones DSP is just a perfect design for me--loving plaids and loving autumn colors--it's my "pick."

Here's today's design:
Simple

& a bit closer...

Simple cu

The embossing background was done with the 'crosshatch' folder in the 3D Embossing folders (Online Exclusive product--it's a set of 3 folders). On this beautiful layer we added the autumn plaid designer paper (Them Bones)---and for me, we could have stopped there so I can just view that paper all day! LOL

Then we used the greeting circled with the leaves stamp---done in alternating Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze.  A bit of sparkle was in order so we added 3 small gold Sparkle Gems.

Our pumpkins were done in Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry with those cutie faces again!

Simple but adorable.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating then!

Creating a Stampin'Up! Them Bones DSP & Pick of the Patch & the Secret of Pumpkin Rhinestones

Today we're Creating with Stampin'UP! Them Bones DSP & Pick of the Patch & the Secret of Pumpkin Rhinestones. Last week we created with Pick of the Patch & then I fell in love with the autumn plaid  in Them Bones DSP---now that's a match made in the pumpkin patch!

Pick of the patch

THEM BONES 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

Today's card... Avid

& check out the sparkle....

Avid cu

After using the gorgeous autumn plaid layer on our Vanilla card base we added a scalloped rectangle (Scalloped & Contours) layer with that scalloped edge & stitched inner rectangle.

The underlayer is the lattice (Chic Dies) cut in Distressed Gold--this paper has just enough shine to add interest but the distressing ratchets it down a bit so it doesn't overwhelm.

The pumpkins are stamped & punched with those adorable little jack-o-lantern faces--you can't look at these without smiling.

The pile of colorful leaves under the greeting are from the Aspen Dies...we used our Blends & did some blending to get those colors to overflow. A touch of Copper paint daubered on & then 3 shining pumpkin rhinestones. (If you don't remember seeing pumpkin rhinestones--you are correct, we used the Dark Pumpkin Pie Blend to add the color to our Basic Rhinestone Jewels---now you know how to get any color Rhinestone you need for your project!)

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this fun set!

Creating an Autumn Card wtih Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch Bundle

Today we're Creating an Autumn Card with Stampin'Up! Pick of the Patch Bundle. I love the autumn colors and so really enjoy designing with those warm bright & regal hues.

The Pick of the Patch bundle has a really useful punch with 4 images to punch...

PICK OF THE PATCH BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

Here's our card for the day...

Horizontal

& a bit closer look...

Horizontal cu

Two of the pumpkins are punched out after stamping...the middle one is stamped directly on the cardstock along with the stems and leaf.

The bench is simply constructed with straight cuts of Pecan Pie cardstock--this color is one of the new core colors & fills that medium rich brown hole in the Stampin'Up! rainbow.

We leave a smattering of leaves in Cajun and Curry under & around the bench.

The greeting is great for a general card or for a Thanksgiving card which is how I"ll be using mine!

The gold pearls are from the Festive Pearls and add a bit of shine to the scene.

The 2nd layer is Distressed Gold which I find works great with autumn designs giving it a rich but toned down effect. The 1st & 2nd  rectangles are die cut using the Deckled Rectangle dies...again the deckling is just perfect for a more relaxed appearance.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this fun set!

The Secret of the Stampin'Up! Amazing Copper Satin-edged Ribbon Used with Wishes All Around Dies

Today I'll reveal to you The Secret of the Stampin'Up! Amazing Copper Satin-edged Ribbon Use with Wishes All Around Die.  We're creating one more card using this wreath die from Wishes All Around used in the October FREE Card Kit--if you missed that--check it out here Click Here to See the Oct FREE Card Kit Info

Today's card...

Thurs card

 another slightly different angle...

Thurs card 2

the amazing Stampin'Up! Copper Satin-edged Ribbon...

Thurs cuI'm going to tell you the luscious ribbon secret shortly.

Our Vanilla background is embossed with the new Distressed Tile embossing folder & is sandwiched between two pieces of the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper.

The wreath is die cut from the Oxidized Copper Specialty foil - the 2-tone effect gives the wreath a soft warm depth that just cutting from foil or cardstock doesn't provide.

The greeting is from Go To Greetings --one of my favorite sets to have on hand. I can most always find the just right size, style & wording for any card.

OK..you've been patiently waiting for the secret--I just couldn't find the right ribbon for this card in my stash--the Copper (Copper & Natural Combo in the holiday Mini) was "off" for my color set in this card. So I grabbed my ever faithful Gold & Vanilla 3/8" Satin Edged ribbon & the Dark Copper Clay Blend...using the flat side of the brush end I dragged the Blend gently over the ribbon on both sides & this gorgeous piece of new ribbon emerged!!! Soooo you can have nearly 50 new colors of ribbon by using any of your Blends to match you newest card hues!

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating!
