Another Quick Card Using Stampin'Up! Inked & Tiled Stamp Set

Today we're creating Another Quick Card Using Stampin'Up! Inked & Tiled Stamp Set. Tuesday we designed a Curry on Curry card using this set...if you missed it check it out here Click here for Tuesday's card.

Today's card uses Calypso Coral as the primary color...

Calypso

And here's a closer look...

Calypso cu

The underlayer of designer paper (Inked Botanicals) uses the same leaf image we're using in our focal design but in the Calypso Coral color.

We've stamped our image in Calypso Coral and Garden Green--definitely end of summer colors with lots of pizazz.

The embellishments are again today from the 2023-2025 In Color Dots--this time we're using Copper Clay--and they work so well with the Calypso Coral ink and designer paper. One hint about using these dots--don't let the name of the color discourage you from using the dots---they seem to have a lighter brighter color than the cardstock and inks in the same named color.

We did cheat with the ribbon on this design--I'm using the Calypso Coral Braided Linen Trim (#162239) which is in the new mini catalog going live September 6th---put it on your Wish list and you can purchase it then.

The brushed brass butterfly also fits the late summer image.

For the fower center we added a bit of glam using the flat backed pearls--these are totally awesome because they are flat which means they don't add all the height for mailing. PLUS they tend to take on some of the color over which they are placed--this means they work fantastically for many color scenarios.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next Tuesday to see what our September FREE class will be!

Creating Simplicity with Stampin'Up! Inked and Tiled Stamp Set

Today we're Creating Simplicity with Stampin'Up! Inked and Tiled Stamp Set. This set just reminds me of late summer and early autumn...and the simplicity of the designs lend themselves to quick and easy cards with lots of class...

Screenshot 2023-08-18 104417

Here's today's card...

Curry

And here's a bit closer view...

Curry cuThe focal image is stamped directly on the Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper...it is such a lovely set of designs---and they all work well together. This specific light plaid works great for allowing us to stamp the image on it. We've used the double floral and added the double bud to the right side of the stem. We're using Crushed Curry ink so this makes color coordination a snap!

We added the underlaying Designer paper in the darker curry polka dot--again blending is so easy with this set of designer paper.

I love the color combo in these papers--the Lost Lagoon is just a perfect accent on this  curry card--I probably would not have picked it until I saw it in the DSP--another great tip when trying to select color sets--check out the DSP color combinations to see if you like the way they blend.

Lastly we use the Wild Wheat In Color Dots for our accent embellishments...now I have to say this Wild Wheat looks more like Curry to me and that's wonderful since we're working with Curry today.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this cute set.

Creating Another Classic Guy Card Using Stampin'Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set

Today we're Creating Another Classic Guy Card Using Stampin'Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set. Tuesday we used the wolf stamp from this set...if you missed it check it out here Click here to see Tuesday's card.

Here's today's card...

Owl

And a bit closer look...

Owl cu

The primary color in today's card is Blueberry Bushel...as I mentioned Tuesday August is my son's birthday month and blue is his favorite color...thus we're using a dark blue-- but one with a lot of life in it.

This stamp has so much detail and depth built into the stamp itself we don't need to do any further coloring or enhancement...it's perfect as stamped in Blueberry Bushel.  One of the useful things about using a single color for a card is that you don't need to worry about coordinating with just the right complementary color!

After cutting the focal point circle in the top layer we ran the layer through the 'crosshatch' folder (one of the 3 folderes in the Basic 3D embossing folder set that is an Online Exclusive).  This folder is nearly universally useful...it's so good for many cards and works perfectly with this design.

To top it off we used the Blueberry Tinsel Gems (3 pk) that add that little touch of class pushing it to the next level of design.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by next week to see what we're creating.

Remember:

*If you use this month's host code (J4WPM4PZ)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Blueberry Bushel cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 5 1/4 X 4; adhere to card front.

3. Cut Blueberry Busehel 3 7/8 X 5 1/8; using stitched circle die (approx 2 1/8" diameter- Stylish Shapes), cut hole approximatel 1" from top and sides.

4. Run this layer through the crosshatch folder (Basic 3D embossing folders):

*Center this layer over the white layer and mark hole with pencil.

*Stamp owl in circle with Blueberry Bushel ink (erase pencil mark if necessary).

*Add 1 large and 2 small Blueberry dots (2023-2025 In Color Dots).

*Using dimensionals adhere this layer to card front.

5. Cut Basic White 3/4 X 2 1/4; stamp verse in Blueberry ink; cut Balmy Blue 2 X 7/8; adhere to back of white. Adhere this unit to card front--see sample.

Creating a Guy Card Using Stampin'Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set

Today we're Creating a Guy Card Using Stampin'Up! Wildlife Wonder Stamp Set. This is my son's birthday month so I'm always thinking about guy cards in August.  Since I'm a 'girly' kind of stamper I am always into embellishments and a bit frilly. But that just won't work for guys like my son. I riffled through my stamp sets and grabbed the Wildlife Wonder set...it's perfect for guys!

Here's the card for today...

Wolf

And a bit closer look...

Wolf cu

Aiming for quick and classic...which to me meant not a lot of coloring but still a couple of interest points.

Earthen Textures designer paper was perfect for this wildlife--this design was done in Pebble Path--one of the new In colors.  So the card base color was automatically selected.

The wolf image is so detailed that no coloring was needed...it was perfect in Pebble Path ink....as is the greeting.

Not wanting the wild plant to over power or have the same "weight" as the focal image so I still used Pebble Path ink but stamped off before stamping on the card. (Stamping off - inking the stamp, stamping on scrap paper, then stamping the image on the real paper).

The final top off is the addition of the Pebble Path dots which adds a bit of shine but still doesn't overpower the focal images.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Stop by Thursday to see what we're creating with this cute set.

Remember:

*If you use this month's host code (J4WPM4PZ)  you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Pebble Path cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut the designer paper (Earthen Textures) 4 X 5 1/4; adhere to card front.

3. Die cut Countryside Corners (approx 4" long) from Very Vanilla cardstock; repeat with Pebble Path cardstock.

*Stamp wolf & greeting in Pebble Path ink (see photo).

*Stamp off the wild plant in Pebble Path ink

*Add 1 large & 2 small Pebble Path dots (see photo).

4. Cut the Pebble Path die cut in half horizontally; adhere both pieces underneath the stamped layer so just a small border appears at the top and bottom; use dimensionals to attach to card base.

If you are like me summertime is really super busy--well, when is life not busy, right? So when I'm in a rush I'm looking for a card that looks terrific but doesn't require much time. If it lends itself to being applicable to multiple occasions--that's even better!

Here's today's creation....

Nexted

And here's a bit closer look...

Nested cu

The background is the new Exposed Brick embossing folder...now since this is not "dainty" or "fancy" this card would be appropriate for guys too...making this design very versatile.

The greeting (Go To Greetings) is stamped on one of the other new die sets in the annual catalog called Nested Essentials dies....that's just what they are--3 diferent shapes times 4 different sizes of each! What a bargain!

The accents are the Daffodil dots from Glossy Dots---great shine and sparkle.

For this card we use just the greenery dies...so no flowers...again great for guys too!

It's all tied togther with Parakeet Party Metallic Woven ribbon--it adds some charm but stays subdued in the die cuts.

Quick & Easy.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Creating a Quick & Easy Card Using Stampin'Up! Online Exclusive Timeless Charm Dies,

Today we're Creating a Quick & Easy Card Using Stampin'Up! Online Exclusive Timeless Charm Dies. We're in the midst of hot weather and I most always associate that with beautiful blooming flower beds. This cute set is a casual set of dies and just as perky as you get.

Here's today's card...

Corners

And a bit closer...

Corners c

To achieve the 2-tone die cut with the double flower die we first cut the die from Granny Apple Green cardstock, then cut it againi from Daffodil Delight. Then we snipped off the 2 flowers in Daffodil and adhered them over the Granny flowers with glue. Since they are an exact match none of the Granny shows.

We topped off the large flower with a Copper Clay dot (2023-25 In Color Dots) in the center

The planter is cut from Early Espresso using one of the Countryside Corners dies--that is one of the most useful sets of dies in the new annual catalg.

The trim on the planter is the Natural Wavy Trim just tucked around the middle.

Quick & Easy.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.

Here's todays creation...

Peacock

& a bit closer look...

Peacock cu

I selected the backgrond paper from the Magnificently Made DSP--the branching leaves are a great coordination for the punched images...this side of the DSP is probably less noticed because the other side is a gorgeous design of meadow florals---both sides are fantastic!

This card design is very simple--3 punches and one stamp punched out and you are done! I love this type of card--it's beautiful, it's easy, and it's one you can keep in your stash for when you are rushed (& who isn't) and need a lovely card.

Sweet and Quick Card Using Stampin'Up! Layering Leaves Stamp & Bough Punch

Today we're creating a Sweet and Quick Card Using Stampin'Up! Layering Leaves Stamp & Bough Punch. This little stamp set could almost slip by your notice but the scripty greetings are absolutely wonderful for any card. This set was inspired by a million dollar sales achiever, Rachel Tessman. (P. S. It's right next to my set, Go To Greetings)

Here's today's creation...

Boho

& a bit closer look...

Boho cu

I wanted to try this set with something other than green....I saw the leaf stem design in the Countryside Inn DSP & thought this set would work nicely in Boho Blue.

The Bough punch coordinates with the stamps in the Layering Leave set...so I used a set of just punched leaves & layered on top a stamped leaf image.

The small bud portion of the Bough punch was used with the Dazzle designer specialty paper to add that touch of sparkle along with the dainty bow of White Glittered Organdy.

Best Wishes was stamped in Night of Navy ink an& the beautiful shiny dots (2023-2025 In Color) added the glam to ratchet this up a level in appeal.

I'll give you step by step directions for today's card below followed by the supply list.
