Creating Another Stunning Card with the New Stampin'Up! Softly Sketched Stamp Set

Creating Simplicity with the New Stampin'UP! Softly Sketched Stamp Set

Today we're Creating Simplicity with the New Stampin'Up! Softly Sketched Stamp SetThis lovely set was created using the DistINKtive technique that is patented by Stampin'Up! It's one of the types of stamps that I love to use.  Here's the set...

CaptureWhen I selected it today to hightlight in this post I was thinking of using the alcohol blends and applying color to the images. But the longer I played with the set the more I realized that simplicity was key to getting the most from these images...and so...here's today's card...

B&w& a slightly closer look...

B&w cuThe image remains totally strikng without adding any color. The boldness of the black is softened a bit by the "sketching" of the image and it virtually comes off the card in it's 3D appearance.

You may have noticed that lovely backgroud--I call it the crosshatch design. It's one of the Basic  3D folders in the Exclusive Online products. It is my favorite of the three in that set.  It's subtle enough to remain in the background yet impressive enough to add special interest to the card front.

We added the three Classic matte dots around the blossoms to accent the black image on the pure white background.

Stop back by Thursday and see our next card with this set.
