Creating Another Card with Stampin'Up! New Ginkgo Branches Stamp Set

Today we're Creating Another Card with Stampin'Up! New Ginkgo Branches Stamp Set. Tuesday we designed a card using bright colors...if you missed it, check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2023/02/designing-a-card-with-stampinup-new-ginkgo-branches-stamp-set-a-fun-coloring-technique.html

Here's today's card...

GardenAnd a bit closer...

Garden cu

For this card we also used the sponge daubers in softer more subtle tonesthan we used Tuesday.  We created a garden just bursting with flowers and added a bit of interest by angling the second stamping slightly.

For the garden wall we again used the Cane Weave embossing folder and tied the entire front with Pool Party shimmer ribbon.

The pink dots are from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Dots...adding that touch of sparkle throughout the flower garden.

The small butter fly is cut from the gorgeous Fine Shimmer paper found in the spring mini catalog.

Stop back  next week and see what we're up to!

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember:

*If you use this month's host code (4WYY7FTU) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

*If you purchase $50 you can select from the Sale-a-bration brochure & receive a free product.

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 X5 1/4:

*Using sponge daubers, color flowers with Fresh Freesia, Coastal Cabana, & Bermuda Bay. For the second stamping turn the flower about 45 degress to the left to stamp.

*Lightly brush the blooms with Wink of Stealla

*Adhere one large and 2 small pink opal dots (2021-2023 In Color Opal Dots)--see sample for placement

*Die cut small butterfly (Brilliant Wings dies) and adhere with a glue dot

*Adhere this stamped layer to the upper part of the card front leaving approximately 1/8" border at the top & sides.

3. Cut approximately 18" of Pool Party shimmer ribbon, tie around card front and knot in the middle. Anchor the knot with a glue dot.

Cut Basic White 1 X 5 1/4; put through Cane Weave embossing folder; adhere below flower layer with glue.

Designing a Card with Stampin'Up! New Ginkgo Branches Stamp Set & a Fun Coloring Technique

Today we're Designing a Card with Stampin'Up! New Ginkgo Branches Stamp Set & a Fun Coloring Technique. The Ginkgo set has a fabulous set of dies that can be used to create beautiful cards with no stamping---we just held a class using only dies! If you are interested in future classes hit the Events button to see the schedule. All classes are on zoom & you can join from anywhere.

Today we're going to use the stamps using a fun way to color the stamps directly without using markers!   Here's the bundle...

Capture.

Our card for the day...

Daffodil
closer...

Daffodil cu

We're using the single big stamp for our focal point. I use the sponge daubers with 3 colors (Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, & Poppy Parade) to color the areas.

Inking the daubers directly from the ink pads is quick & easy to control. Adjust lighter or deeper  color by the amount of ink you deposit on the stamp.

Using Wink of Stella on the flowers after stamping helps vitalize the color, blend the color to appear smoother &, best of all, it adds a touch of sparkle.

In the back ground you can see the Cane Weave embossing folder adds interest to the entire card.

Stop back Thursday and see the next card we create with this set!

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, run through Cane Weave embossing folder.

3. Cut White  4 X 3 1/2

*Dauber  Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Poppy Parade ink on the stamp directly (see sample for coloring cards).

*Add Wink of Stella to the flowers

*Stamp 'friends' in Versamark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder, heat until shiny gold.

*Die cut small butterfly (Brilliant Wings dies) from gold Fine Shimmer paper--adhere with a glue dot.

*Adhere 3 gold Festive pearls--see sample.

*Cut approximately 9" Gold/Vanilla ribbon, tie in bow and adhere to stems with glue dot.

4. Cut Poppy Parade cardstock 3 1/4 X 4 1/4; cut Flirty Flamingo 3 1/2 X 3 3/4. Adhere stamped layer to the poppy layer using dimensionals. Glue this unit onto the flamingo layer--center layers.

Quick Way to Layer with Stampin'Up! FREE Favored Flowers Designer Paper

Today I'll show you a Quick Way to layer with Stampin'Up! FREE Favored Flowers Designer Paper. Tuesday we created a beautiful card using this designer paper--if you missed it check it out here..https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2023/02/a-gorgeous-card-created-with-stampinup-free-favored-flowers-dsp.html

Here's today's creation...

Vellumand a bit closer look at the 'thanks'...

Vellum cuThis designer paper coordiates wonderfully with the Fragrant Flowers Bundle in the Spring mini....but we are not using any stamps today! This card was created with only a single piece of designer paper measuring 4 X 5 1/4...that's all! It's a super simple technique and conserves your designer paper. Remember once Sale-a-bration is ended in February...you won't be able to nab this again.

We used the Amazing Thanks die set to cut out the 'thanks'---just laying the gold shimmer die cut on the designer paper didn't really pop it out! However, by die cutting the larger 'thanks' from vellum and layering it underneath masks just enough of the design to let that shimmer pop nicely.

Stop back by next week and see what we're up to!

Directions:

1. Cut Petal Pink cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (cardbase).

2. Cut Favored Flower designer paper 5 1/4 X 4

*Using your paper trimmer, cut out middle leaving a 3/4 frame; position the paper at the 3/4" marking

*for the short sides your blade goes in at the 3/4" and up at the 3/1/4 marking, turn 90 degrees and the blade goes in at the 3/4" marking and up at the 4 1/2 mark

*turn 90 degrees and repeat above step...here are the pieces

Parta

3. Adhere the frame to the card base.

*Cut Petal Pink cardstock 4 X 2 3/4; adhere to back of center piece (cut out); then adhere this unit to the card front assuring it is centered over the center opening on the base card.

4. Die cut 'thanks' (Amazing Thanks dies) from gold (Fine Simmer); die cut the larger 'thanks' from vellum cardstock. Adhere these together with  glue dots; adhere with glue (or glue dots) to the card front.

Today I'm going to show you A Gorgeous Card Created with Stampin'Up! FREE Favored Flowers DSP & Around the Bend Bundle. So ladies, many many thanks to you for this lovely creatios! Here it is...

Creating Another Card with Stampin'Up! Free Dandy Designs DSP & Dainty Delights Dies

Today we're Creating Another Card with Stampin'Up! Free Dandy Designs DSP & Dainty Delights DiesTuesday we designed a lovely card with these two products. If you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2023/02/creating-with-stampinup-free-dandy-designs-dsp-dainty-delights-dies.html

Here's today's creation...

Balmy

And a closer look...

Balmy cu

Today we chose one of the Balmy Blue backgrounds...the subtle graded dots forms an interesting background but doesn't overwhelm our simple design. You can see that we also used the Best Trio punch on the designer paper corners...actually this base card is exactly the same as Tuesday's. It's another one of those cards that you can use to build up your stash and this pack of designer paper is just perfect. You can select many of the designs as your background and simply use a card base in the same or complementing colors.

Today's card uses another one of the cute dies in the Dainty Delights Dies.  I'm not a flower person but we'll call these star flowers for simplicity sake...we simply die cut 3 of them and "tied" the stems together with White Glitter bow.

Using my favorite embellishment---those dragonfly trinkets...we've added a touch of interest to the area above the flowers. These little dragonflies are cut precisely to add sparkle and pizzazz. If you haven't purchased them--do it now--you won't regret it---they are super awesome!

Stop back by next week and see what we're up to!

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list.

Remember:

3. Cut Balmy dotted design (Dandy Designs DSP) 3 7/8 X 5 1/8; use Best Trio punch on all 4 corners. Adhere to white layer.

4. Die cut 3 star flowers from Basic White cardstock; adhere to card front with stems overlappping.

5. Cut  approximately 8" White Glitter ribbon and tie in a bow; adhere to crossed stems with a glue dot.

6. Adhere 2 dragonfly trinkets with glue dots.

Creating with Stampin'Up! Free Dandy Designs DSP & Dainty Delights Dies

Today we're Creating with Stampin'Up! Free Dandy Designs DSP & Dainty Delights Dies. The Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper is one awesome pack of paper! It contains 48 sheets--4 each of 12 double-sided designs. And these designs are perfect for creating cards and for memory keeping pages. The colors coordinate well and there's tons of contrasts with which to create. And...best part...it is free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration.

Here's today's card...

Freesia

And a closer look...

Freesia cu

You can see that when you choose a beautiful designer background that you don't need to do tons of creating...add a verse and a touch of decoration and you have a beautiful card.

The greenery wreath is two arcs from the Dainty Delights Dies...they fit together nicely to form a wreath around the greeting. This gorgeous greeting is in a lovely script (Go To Greetings) and it almost needs no embellishment at all. However, we added some of the new loose daisies that are tiny and adorable.

In addition we've popped on two dragonfly trinkets...these are my absolute favorite embellishments in the spring mini catalog. The photo doesn't capture some of the twinkle they bring to the card.

Notice the beautiful corners cut with the Best Trio punch--this just ratchets up the interest a great deal

Stop back by Thursday to see what else we're creating with the Dandy Designs.
