Creating A New Year's Card with Stampin'Up! Snow Crystal Stamp

Today we're Creating A New Year's Card with Stampin'Up! Snow Crystal Stamp. Tuesday we created a lovely card great for your stash---if you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/12/creating-that-special-card-with-stampinup-snow-crystal-stamp.html

So maybe you didn't get a chance to make all those Christmas cards you wanted to send or you didn't mail one to that special person you just remembered....that's a great time to create a New Year's card!

Here's today's design...

Blending

This little beauty appears to be falling through a winter evening sky with a few twinkling stars in the background.

We used the embossed image of the Snow Cyrstal on our Thick Basic White cardstock. Then we used those wonderful Blending Brushes to color in the "sky" with Pacific Point and Fresh Freesia--as you can see we overlap the colors where they meet to create another blue-purple shade.

We found the "Happy New Year" greeting in the Brightest Glow stamp set..so we popped that right in the center of our snowflake. Note: If you don't need a "New Year's" card--this would also be a super card for birthdays, thinking of you....or most other occasions. Again, this is a great addition to your stash.

Pop back by next week and you'll see one of the new Sale-a-bratio stamp sets in use!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (GWGSJ33M) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Stamp the Snow Crystal stamp in Versamark in the middle of the card front, sprinkle liberally with Clear embossing powder, heat with heat tool until shiny and clear.

3. Using a Blending Brush in circular motions apply Pacific Point ink  diagonally in the upper left to lower right half of the card.

4.Using a second Blending Brush in circular motions apply Fresh Freesia ink diagonally in the lower righ tto upper left half of the card. Overlap the two colors to form a 3rd blended coloe.

5. Stamp 'Happy New Year' (Brightest Glow) in Starry Sky ink on Basic White cardstock; die cut with medium stitched circle (Stylish Shapes dies). Adhere to center of snowflake with dimensionals.

6. Cut approximately 8" silver cord (Simply Elegant Trim), tie in a bow and adhere under greeting on circle with a glue dot.

7. Adhere 6 small rhinestones around the snowflake--see sample.

Creating that Special Card with Stampin'Up! Snow Crystal Stamp

Today we're Creating that Special Card with Stampin'Up Snow Crystal Stamp. I'm sure someone remembered you this holiday or someone you "forgot" to mail a card to until it was too late...well, today's card is one of those that you can use to say a big "thank you" or just let them know you are thinking of them over the holidays.

Here's today's card:

Just a note
This is such a lovely stamp--you can't go wrong whatever you do with it. For our card today we simply stamped it off center twice with Balmy Blue. Then borrowing the little beauty from the Joyful Flurry stamp set we added a few smaller snowflakes to make those big ones pop.

Our sentiment "Just a Note" is from the Go To Greeting set...and it works well for most situations...if we want to thank someone for remembering up--it works.  If we want to 'remember' someone else over the holidays--it works. This is a great card to have in your stash for the entire winter...not just over the holidays!

A good feature of this stamp is that it is carrying over--so we'll get to use it again next season!

Stop back by Thursday and see another great card using this stamp.

2. Cut Balmy Blue 4 X 5 1/4, adhere this to card front.

3. Cut Basic White 3 7/8 X 5 1/8.

*Stamp Snow Crystal in Balmy Blue in upper right and lower left.

*Stamp smaller snowflake (Joyful Flurry) in Balmy to fill in open areas.

*Adhere this layer to card front.

4. Add a large rhinestone to the 2 large snowflake centers and a medium rhinestone to the smaller ones.

5. Cut Basic White cardstock 1 X 3 1/4; stamp 'Just a Note' (Go To Greetings) in black ink (e.g. Memento); adhere this to card front center with dimensoinals.

Create a Classy but Super Quick Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Leaves of Holly Dies

Today we're going to Create a Classy but Super Quick Gift Tag wit hStampin'Up! Leaves of Holly Dies. Tuesday we designed a simply gorgeous and very quick card using the same set. If you missed it check it out here... https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/12/classy-very-quick-card-with-stampinup-leaves-of-holly-dies.html.

Well, Santa is almost here Just a couple more days and sudenly you find you have a special gift to wrap which requires a special gift tag also.  But since you already hear Santa's sleigh bells...this has to be quick. So here's the quick one..

Tag& up closer....

Tag cu

This little beauty is composed of 2 die cuts and red rhinestones...it just doesn't get simpler than that! The Holly Berry dies contains this label base with the double holly leaves embedded.  It also has the underlay for the holly leaves allowing that Evergreen glimmer sparkle to shine through. (Remember if you don't have the Evergreen glimmer you can substituted Evening Evergreen cardstock and use Wink of Stella on it!)

We added two sets of red rhinestones to each leave to be our berries as well as add that special sparkle that only rhinestones can do.

Instead of adding a tie on ribbon we are using dimensionals on the back to adhere it to the wrapped package or gift bag...this way we don't have to worry about coordinating ribbon or tying a bow (pretty slick, right?).

Stop back by next week and see what we are creating in the Christmas aftermath.

I'll give you full directions for the tag below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (GWGSJ33M) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut label (Holly Berries die set) from Thick Basic White cardstock (gift tag base).

2. Die cut berry underlay from Evergreen glimmer paper (in the pack of Glimmer paper). If you don't have Evergreen glimmer then use Evergreen cardstock and add Wink of Stella to it. Adhere this to the back of the embedded leaves of the tag base with glue dots.

3. Add 3 red rhinestones to the base of each leaf on the tag base.

4. After writing the To/From information, add 4 dimensioals to the back of the tag and add to gift.

Your beautifully tagged gift is ready for giving!

Classy & Very Quick Card with Stampin'Up! Leaves of Holly Dies

Today we're creating a Classy & Very Quick Card with Stampin'Up! Leave of Holly Dies. By this time if you are creating a Christmas card you are not wanting to spend a lot of time working on it---you're in the market for very quick but still very classy....and here's your answer to that card...

Card

& and bit closer look...

Card cu

When you are in a rush your best base card is white--whatever your decorative color combo turns out to be...it will definitely coordinate with white. So that's where we began... and, of course, we use the Thick Basic White cardstock because it is sturdier and makes a wonderful card base.

Keeping it very simple we die cut the large & small holly leaves from Evergreen glimmer paper--it is no longer available but you probably have it in your stash. If not, just substitue Evening Evergreen cardstock and use Wink of Stella on it...sparkly Evergreen.

The die cut the detailed berries from Red Glimmer paper--and if you don't have that--cut from Real Red cardstock and use Wink on that too.

Needing a smaller 'Merry Christmas' than appears in the Leave of Holly stamp set we use the verse from the Regal Reindeer set--it's carrying over which is nice to know.

And...you have a very classy Christmas card and you spent about 10 minutes creating it!

Stop back by Thursday and check out a classy & quick gift tag.

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 1/2 X 4 3/4; run through Timeworn Type embossing folder (in a real rush--skip this step). Adhere to card front with dimensionals.

3. Die cut large and small detailed holly leaves from Evergreen Glimmer paper (or Evening Evergreen cardstock & use Wink of Stella). Cut off stems, then adhere to card front with glue dots.

4. Die cut detailed berries from Red glimmer paper (or from Real Red cardstock and use Wink). Adhere to base of leaves with glue dots.

5. Stamp 'Merry Christmas' in Cherry Cobbler in on white cardstock; punch out with plain oval (double oval punch). Adhere to card front.

Quick & Pretty Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Mistletoe Magic Bundle

Today we're creating a Quick & Pretty Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Mistletoe Magic BundleTuesday we created a sweet & simple card using this set...if you missed it..check it out here.... https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/12/sweet-simple-card-created-with-stampinup-mistletoe-magic-bundle.html

Here's today's gift tag...

Tag

and a closer peek...

Tag cu

If you are like me I gasp when someone tosses my handmade gift tag to the side....so experience has taught me to enjoy the process of creating these hand made tags but not to invest tooooo much time into the activity. So today's tag is a bit simple but it is very very pretty--in fact it would make a lovely addition to a Christmas tree--so be sure to sign and date it in the event your gift recipient has an eye for the beauty of hand made ornaments.

We die cut the mistletoe from Shaded Spruce  & layered it on the holly design (Painted Christmas DSP) just as we did on the card made Tuesday. We cut off a double sprig from the die cut and used just enough to fill our tag. If your tag is larger you may use more of the die cut.

Again we used the medium size berries in the strip making it necessary to only cut one set from the Soft Seafoam glimmer paper. (Remember from Tuesday if you don't have this glimmer paper just dies cut white or Soft Seafoam cardstock and use Wink of Stella).

Instead of using the bow die today we used a piece of the red ribbon (Real Red & Garden Green combo) ...this softened the overall appearance while giving it some depth.

The tag base is simply layering the largest plain circle and the largest scalloped circle; these are layered together, topped with the designer paper and then we punched a hole through all 3.

Stop by next Tuesday and see what we've created for you then.

Directions:

1. Die cut the largest scalloped circle (Layering Circles) from Shaded Spruce cardstock.

2. Die cut the largest plain circle from the holly design (Painted Christmas DSP); adhere this to the scalloped circle. Punch a small hole in the top of the base.

3. Die cut the mistletoe from Shaded Spruce cardstock; clip off a double sprig and adhere that to the tag base with mini dimensionals.

4. Die cut one strip of medium berries from Soft Seafoam glimmer paper; adhere to mistletoe (see Tuesday's post for a helpful hint).

5. Cut approximately 7" of red ribbon (Real Red & Garden Green combo), tie in a bow & adhere to top of mistletoe with a glue dot.

Your tag is ready for giving!

Sweet & Simple Card Created with Stampin'Up! Mistletoe Magic Bundle

Today we're designing a  Sweet & Simple Card Created with Stampin'Up! Mistletoe Magic BundleThanksgiving is past and now the time crunch begins...the countdown to Christmas is getting shorter as we speak! So when I need to design cards now I'm looking for beautiful and simple because I know I have limited time. Today's card is just that--sweet, simple and beautiful....

Card

& take a closer look at those berries...

Card cu

We've layered the die cut mistletoe on the Seafoam holly design in the Painted Christmas designer series paper. The subtle design in the background adds a bit of interest while remaining in the background and not overpowering our focal point. If we used one of the busier beautiful designs in that series...although gorgeous...our mistletoe fades into the background.

Now check out those awesome berries..they are even cut embossed....the berry die in this set is a strip die containing 6 berries--so you do one trip through the die machine and have 6 berries...makes this card a breeze to do. The little curved cut embossing adds such charm to the berries that just adding round circle cuts would not achieve. The berries are from the Seafoam sheet of Glimmer paper (#159371) however, if you don't have that product you can also just use white cardstock or Soft Seafoam cardstock and add Wink of Stella.

We added some depth to the card by adhering the mistletoe die cut using mini dimensionals...this lifts the focal point from the card front and gives the image a more interesting appeal.

Stop by Thursday and see the cute gift tag we designed with this set.

2. Cut Mint Macaron cardstock 3 1/2 X 4 3/4; adhere to card front.

3. Cut holly design (Painted Christmas DSP) 3 3/8 X 4 5/8; adhere to mint layer.

4. Die cut mistletoe from Shaded Spruce

*Die cut 4 strips of medium berries from Seafoam (Glimmer Paper)--adhere to die cut with glue (see photo). Helpful hint---I used the Take your Pick tool (#144107)to pick up the berries, dip gently in glue and adhere to card front--the makes the task a breeze!

*Adhere this unit to card with mini dimensionals

5. Die cut bow from red glimmer--adhere to top of mistletoe with glue dot

Creating a Gift Tag Using Stampin'Up! Kindest Gnomes Bundle!

Today we're creating a Gift Tag Using Stampin'Up! Kindest Gnomes Bundle! Tuesday with this same bundle we created Christmas card--if you missed it...check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/12/cute-christmas-card-with-stampinup-kindest-gnome-dies.html.

This little gnome has a hold on me and I just can't stop using him...here's today's tag

Tag

& a but closer...

Tag cu

We're using the same color scheme & designer paper  used for the Christmas card Tuesday making this economical using supplies.

However, the paper used for the  hat comes from the Brights 6 X 6 DSP...that small plaid was perfect for a gnome hat.

The beard has a tinge of blue around the edge. I took a bit of Pacific Point ink on a sponge dauber & went around the edge of the beard to help define it...the blue blends with the other colors & makes that beard nice & distinct.

The base tag is a die from the Designer Tag set. It has a slit at the top & bottom to allow the ribbon to go in through the bottom, up the back, & out the top forming a loop at the top. To keep that ribbon in place we used white cardstock on which you can write the "to/from" info.

Stop back by next week and see what card & tag we created.

Cute Christmas Card with Stampin'Up! Kindest Gnome Dies

Today we're creating a Cute Christmas Card with Stampin'Up! Kindest Gnome Dies! The Gnomes turned out to be one of the most fun sets this season---just looking at these cuties makes you happy!

Here's today's card...

Cqrd

& a bit closer...

Card cu

We created a Christmas card but this can also be used birthdays, New Year's, or change the verse & you'll have a thank you card!

The large snowflake in the background is a Wonderful Snowflake die cuts from a beautiful iridescent white paper...they come in a pack of 24--so plenty to make as many cards as you want. (Note---these are retiring so nab them while you can).

The snowflakes coordinated beautifully with the snowflake dsp in the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper--it also has 2 other snowflake themed designs you can also use to create this card.

The gnomes are simply done with the hat, beard, nose and feet dies...this is a greatly versatile set that can be used in just about any season & made to coordinate with any other designer paper. I love using versatile tools--it makes the purchase so much more economical.

Big surprise we also used the Pool Party sequins from the Adhesive backed Sequins & Gems--as I've mentioned previously---these are my favorite embellishments in the holiday mini catalog.

Stop back by Thursday and see the gift tag we created.

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.
