A Simple Stunning Card Using Stampin'Up! Cottage Wreaths & Country Wreaths Dies

Today we're creating A Simple Stunning Card Using Stampin'Up! Cottage Wreaths & Country Wreath Dies. I haven't played with this set much so far...so you can image what fun I've had when I discovered the layering look of the wreath dies....here's today's card....

Cherry card

Here's a closer look at the wreath...

Cherry card cuThe wreath is layered over the Soft Seafoam Glimmer paper--unfortunately you can't get the full effect of the glimmer but imagine it on a sparkly bed....stunning!

We began with a Cherry Cobbler card base and covered that with cardstock put through the Quatrefoil embossing folder..that design is such a lovely background for a holiday creatuib.

Then we layered the Seafoam Glimmer "boards" and hung the wreath.

The wreath is two layers---the first is the more solid die using Shaded Spruce. Layered over that is the less dense wreath die in Mint Macaron--this color with the blue tones accents the Shaded Spruce green very well.

The bow die in this set is a great addition to the top and then we sparkled up the wreath with Red Rhinestones. And there you have it---simple & stunning.

But I didn't want to stop playing with these dies so I made another card using White as the background---and here's the result....

Card on whiteAnd we could go on trying out new colors...do that and let me see your results.

Stop back by Thursday and see a special little creation you won't want to miss!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (G4RX6ZUY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Cherry Cobbler 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, put through Quatrefoil embossing folder; adhere to card front.

3. Cut Soft Seafoam glimmer paper (Glimmer Paper) 3/4 X 3 1/2; adhere to card front horizontally to appear like wooden boards.

4. Die cut more solid wreathe from Shaded Spruce; die cut less solid wreath from Mint Macaron; adhere together and then attach to card front with mini dimensionals

5. Die cut bow from Red Glimmer--adhere to wreath top with glue dot.

6. Add trios of Red Rhinestones to the wreath (see photo).

Totally Awesome Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle!

Today we're creating a Total Awesome Gift Tag with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle! Tuesday we created a very simple card using the same Sweet Candy Cane set using a really quick trick--if you missed it---check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/11/a-simple-trick-to-creating-with-stampinup-sweet-candy-cane-bundle-wtihout-stamping.html.

Christmas gift tags are one of my favorite parts of the whole gift giving experience...

Tag

... a little closer look at the candy cane...

Tag with

The tag base is cut with the large label die in the Seasonal Labels set...this was in last year's holiday mini catalog & carried over in the annual catalog...it's a wonderful base for tags---just the right size.

Today we did stamp the cane in red on white cardstock & die cut. Then layered several greeneries & topped it off with those red glimmer sprigs (Leaves of Holly dies).  To tie it all together we added a white glitter organdy bow--it's just the right touch & doesn't overpower the remainder of the design. (Did you know you can color this ribbon with your makers or your ink pad to coordinate with any color you need?)

All this beauty lies atop the Sweetest Christmas designer series paper & a white scalloped die cut circle.

For the next few weeks we'll be exploring other fun sets in the holiday mini--first with a card & the second design of the week will be a gift tag....keep following!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (G4RX6ZUY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Die cut the base label (Seasonal Labels) from Real Red cardstock; punch an approximate 1/4" hole in the top.

2. Cut designer paper (Sweetest Christmas) 2 X 3: adhere to the center with glue.

3. Die cut a scalloped circle (Layering Circle dies approx 2 3/4 diameter) from Basic White cardstock; adhere to center of the designer paper

4. Stamp right hook candy cane in Real Red ink on white cardstock, die cut & adhere to circle at a slight angle.

5. Die cut two double pine sprigs (Christmas Banners) from Evening Evergreen glimmer paper; adhere one with glue dot angled from center to upper left and the other from center angled to lower right.

6. Die cut 2 greenery (Christmas Banner) from Shaded Spruce cardstock; adhere as described above.

7. Die cut 2 large sprigs (Leaves of Holly) from Real Red Glimmer paper; adhere as described above.

8. Cut approximatey 9" of white glitter organdy ribbon, tie a bow & adhere with a glue doe in the center of the greenery.

9. Cut 18" of white glitter organdy ribbon, loop through tag hole---

Your tag is ready for gift giving!

A Simple Trick to Creating with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle wtihout Stamping...

Today I"ll show you A Simple Trick to Creating with Stampin'Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle without Stamping the candy cane!!! About this time of year I'm looking for all the shortcuts I can find because I see Christmas looming quickly in our future...so here's the "tricky card"....

Card2a bit of a different angle...

Cardand a close up of the candy cane.

Card cu

After seeing the card can you tell what the secret is to "no stamping?" Yes, we simply die cut the top white layer over the striped designer series paper (2nd layer).  Pretty easy, right? The result is an awesome perfect cane without having to stamp and then die cut!

We added some sparkle with the greenery (from Mistletoe Magic dies) and the red rhinestones above the verse on the scalloped white circle.

The small "stripey" look of the gingham embossing folder seemed perfect to coordinate with the stripe in the designer paper for our candy cane!

So what's better than a lovely card that is so simple to create and looks like a million bucks? Well, stop back by on Friday (because Thursday you'll be eating turkey) and take a look at the awesome gift tag we created with this set!

For the next few weeks we'll be exploring other fun sets in the holiday mini--first with a card and the second design of the week will be a gift tag....keep following!

I'll give you full directions below followed by the supply list to order your supplies.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (G4RX6ZUY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Real Red cardstock 4 1/4 x 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Sweetest Christmas designer series paper 3 X 5 3/8; adhere to card front with glue...be sure the diagonal stripes are going in this direction...

Dsp

3. Cut Basic White cardstock 2 7/8 X 5 3/8

*Die cut the left hook candy cane from the center of this piece--angle slightly to the left

    *Put through Gingham embossing folder

*Adhere to designer paper with dimensionals making sure the borders on each side are even.

4. Stamp verse in Memento ink on Basic White cardstock, die cut with smallest scalloped Layering Circle die that the verse will fit in. Adhere to card front with dimensionals

*Add 3 red rhinestones above the verse.

5. Cut approximately 9" of Real Red ribbon, tie in a bow. Adhere to center of candy cane with a glue dot.

Create an Autumn or Thanksgiving Treat Box or Table Favor with Stampin'Up! Envelope Boxes

Today we’re going to Create an Autumn or Thanksgiving Treat Box or Table Favor with Stampin'Up! Envelope Boxes. Tuesday we created a cute little turkey treat box—if you missed it check it out herehttps://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/11/creating-a-turkey-treat-box-with-stampinup-design-a-treat-box-dib.html

Here's today's creation...

Envelope treat box 1

Envelope treat box 2

Using the preformed Stampin’Up! Envelope Box—the hard work is done for you…there’s no die, just fold on the score lines and use the pre-adhesive tabs to put this cutie together.

But before we put it together you’ll notice that the boxes are white---but the box we’re creating today is a soft pale gold….how did that happen? We simply used a blending brush and the Pale Papaya ink pad.  This means you can have any color you need for a gift box to match your theme of the day.

The “greenery” springs come from Golden Beauty Dies, Sunflower Dies, and Christmas Banner dies. Of course, you can use any greenery dies to create your masterpiece.

We tied all this beauty together with the Vanilla & Gold ribbon---that gold just adds that sparkle that brings the box to life. The organdy middle of the ribbon lets any base color come through which makes this a very versatile embellishment.

Stop back by next week to see what Christmas goodies we’ll be making!

When placing an online order and using this month’s host code (G4RX6ZUY) you will receive $5 in Stampin’Up! Product for each $50 you purchase (my choice of product).

Directions:

1. Using a blending brush give the outer box a coating of Pale Papaya ink. When box is dry adhere sides using the pre-glued tabs.

Note: Before closing box be sure to add your treat

When treats are enclosed use tab attachments to secure closure.

2. Die cut the following:

*large and small sprig (Golden Beauty dies) from Gold glimmer paper

*leafy sprig (Christmas Banner dies) from Mossy Meadow an from Old Olive.

*double sprig (Sunflower dies) from Pumpkin Pie.

Adhere these to box top with glue dots (see photo for placement.)

3. Cut approximately 18” of vanilla/gold ribbon. Loop around box and tie in a bow where the greenery pieces meet.

Your box is ready for giving…if you added a small tag this would make a stunning place card holder that you guests can take home as a remembrance.

Creating a Turkey Treat Box with Stampin'Up! Design a Treat Box Die

Today we’re creating a cute Turkey Treat Box with Stampin’Up! Design a Treat Box Die.  This little die only uses a scant 6 X 6 piece of designer paper and it’s an all-in-one die---so only one die to cut this cutie out

Here’s today’s Turkey Treat Box…

1

& a couple of other angles to see it more closely….

2

3

4

We put on our creative cap and simply hand drew a turkey head & neck…it’s really not that hard ---you’ll see it below and can copy it in a flash.

The wattle (that red thing) is actually the small dragonfly punch ---just the wings…pretty clever, right?

And the tail (always the most important part) is the maple leaf die from Ranunculus Dies (have you noticed how much we use that die set lately?).

And, of course, we have candy inside as the treat…you can use these as place markers or simply as a fun little take home treat for your Thanksgiving guests. If you’re not hosting then maybe a little box of these would be an awesome host gift that your host can share with everying.

This is such a quick & easy project you can create several in an evening.

I’ll give you the step by step directions below following by the Supply list.

Stop back by Thursday and see another treat box for the autumn holidays.

When placing an online order and using this month’s host code (G4RX6ZUY) you will receive $5 in Stampin’Up! Product for each $50 you purchase (my choice of product).

Directions:

1. Hand draw a turkey head/neck—use the sample below as your template. Cut one from Crumb Cake cardstock; flip template over and cut the reverse from Crumb cake. Glue the head and neck together leaving the last ¼” horizontal piece without glue---spread these "wings"  apart to use to attach to ‘body’ later.

Head

*Punch small wings (Dragonfly Punch) from Cherry Cobbler cardstock, fold in half and glue to bottom of head.

*Adhere 2 small Rustic dots as eyes

Complete head

2. Die cut box from Crumb Cake (Neutrals Designer Paper), and adhere sides with Tear & Tape using the four small flaps to form the body.

*Now is the time to add the treat (e.g. candy)

*Fold semicircles perpendicular to the box top and slide the two slitted flaps over them.

3. Die cut maple leaf (Ranunculus Dies) from Vanilla cardstock. Using Blends..

*Color one side lobe of leaf with Dark Daffodil, working quickly add Dark Pumpkin Pie to the edges. Then blend colors with Dark Daffodil until well blended.

Coloring

*Repeat on the opposite side lobe of leaf.

*On center lobe color with Dark Daffodil, then working quickly edge with Dark Cajun Craze. Then blend colors with Dark Daffodil

*Use Wink of Stella to add sparkle

*Using glue dots adhere the leaf to the semicircle on the box top.

4. Using glue dots on the side flaps of the head/neck, adhere this unit to the front of the box.

Your turkey is ready for giving!

Here's today's creation...

Xmas card& a bit closer...

Xmas card cu

Wow, that's what comes to mind when I see this beautiful paper in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen--then adding that super pop of Real Red ribbon--Wow!

Notice that we also underscored the verse with 3 Pool Party sequins and this really jazzed up that pretty verse. The greeting is from the new Frames & Festive stamp set that is part of the Fitting Florets Collection...this set will not be transitioning to the new spring mini catalog--so nab it now!

The verse is stamped in Versamark & embossed with silver powder--this adds shine as well as coordinates the the label background of silver foil.

The corners of the designer paper have been sculpted with the Very Best Trio punch---what an amazing difference that made.

There is a full collection of products-- a bundle, an additional stamp set, designer paper and embellishments---the bundle is carrying over into the spring mini---awesome! However, the designer paper, the holiday stamp set and the embellishments are only available during November & December! So don't delay---as always these products are available only while supplies last. Download 1022_Q4_OOP_PREORDER_FLYER_FITTING_FLORETS_US (1)

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4 X 5; adhere to card front with liquid glue.

3. Cut designe paper 3 5/8 X 4 7/8; use the Very Best Trio punch on the corners; adhere to card front.

4. Stamp greeting in Versamark on Basic White cardstock, sprinkle with silver embossing powder and heat with Heat Tool until shiny silver. Die cut with label die (Seasonal Labels dies).

5. Use same die to cut label from silver foil; cut label horizontally in 2; adhere to back of greeting label with glue dots--separate slightly as you adhere so approximate 1/16" of silver shows at top and bottom.

6. Adhere 3 Pool Party sequins under greeting.

7. Cut approximately 7" of real red ribbon, tie in bow & adhere at top of label with a glue dot; adhere label to middle of card front with glue.

Christmas Ornament with Stampin'Up!'s NewFitting Florets Dies

Today we're creating a Christmas Ornament with Stampin'Up!'s New Fitting Florets Dies! Last week we created two gorgeous cards using the bundle (if you missed them check them out). Then I had this idea---the frames would make beautiful Christmas ornaments.....off to the drawing board...and here's the results.

Orn 2

& using a slightly different setting

Orn 1

& a close up at the inner ornament designs

Orn cu

& to make this a double duty creation---you can give it as a gift & use the back side as a gift tag or writing a message that will transcend the years as this beauty adorns the recipient's tree.

Now if you have used these dies you know that when you cut with them the inner oval cuts out...so how do we get the center of the seafoam cardstock to stay inside?  Simple, we draw around the die on the seafoam cardstock & using our paper snips, we hand cut it out--oh, be quiet---it's simple & quick--it only takes less than a minute to hand cut.

By cutting 2 of the fancy frames from the Evergreen Glimmer paper & sandwiching the hand cut seafoam--we have an instant beautiful ornament.

Decorating the inside of the frames can be done with a multitude of dies & stamps...I used the pine branch & oval ornament from the Decorated Pines dies that coordinates well with the fancy frame.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (G4RX6ZUY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Lay the fancy frame die on Soft Seafoma cardstock & trace the outside with a pencil. Using your paper snips cut out image --cut inside the pencil line. Lay the frame over the seafoam & make any small adjustments necessary so you do not see the seafoam outside the frame.

2. Die cut 2 fancy frames from the Evergreen Glimmer paper. Using small amounts of liquid glue adhere one die to the front of the seafoam ornament.

3. Using small amounts of liquid glue adhere the second frame to the back of the ornament.

4. Die cut the following & adhere to inside of the frame outline

*pine branch from Shaded Spruce Cardstock

*oval ornament from red glimmer paper

    *bow from gold foil.

5. Adhere 3 Pool Party sequins (Adheseive Backed Sequins & Gems) in a triangle--see photo for placement.

Creating a Second Card with Stampin'Up! Fitting Florets Stamps & Dies!

Today we're Creating a Second Card with Stampin'Up! Fitting Florets Stamps & Dies! Tuesday we created our first card...if you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/10/creating-with-stampinup-new-products-flitting-florets-stamps-dies.html.

This new collection of products is available now through December while supplies last...the bundle will carry over into the spring mini (but not the designer paper, embellishments and holiday stamp set)

DEMO_MKTL_SQR_NA_1022_OOPQ4_PREORDERHere's our second creation using this set...

Balmy..a bit closer

Balmy cu

Today's card is using the large oval of hearts....

Balmy heartshowever, this die does not cut out the inner oval. We used the plain frame die inside the oval of hearts to give us the window into the white cardstock layer. As we mentioned Tuesday--we keep the parts cut with this frame and use them for another project. We're getting double the die cuts for our money.

We added dimensionals under the die cut designer paper to give it dimension and the shadowy heart images--really quite a stunning look.

The ovals are a very good size in which to stamp other images--plenty of space for the flower and the greeting.

Remember: If you use this month's host code () you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Balmy Blue cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 5 X 3 5/8

3. Cut designer paper (balmy blue) 3 3/4 X 4 3/4:

*Using oval of hearts --center and die cut designer paper layer

*Using plain frame die, center and cut oval from center of designer paper (keep parts for future projects)

*Using dimensionals center and adhere this layer to the white layer (white will show at top and bottom but not at the sides of the designer paper) Adhere this unit to the card front.

4. Stamp double flower and verse in Memento ink in the white oval

Creating with Stampin'Up! New Products Flitting Florets Stamps & Dies

Today we're Creating with Stampin'Up! New Products Flitting Florets Stamps & Dies. This new collection brings us some of the oval dies we've been dieing to get back! The fun part is that the "plain" ovals are the "trash" that is created when we use the frame dies--so we're actually getting 2 from 1 die.

DEMO_MKTL_SQR_NA_1022_OOPQ4_PREORDER

Here is today's creation

White

a bit closer

White cu

The trick to this card is that we're using the frame die twice--the first cut is through the designer paper and the Evergreen cardstock. This opens the window to the white cardstock (card base). Then we use the frame die again with black cardstock---this give us the black frame to insert in the opening from the first use of the frame  die.

Those gorgeous gold swirl embellishments add such a classy element to this card.

One other small trick we used for this card is the double leaf stamp--it is actually stamped twice under the "celebrate."  This then appears to be a semicircle under the greeting.

There is a full collection of products-- a bundle, an additional stamp set, designer paper and embellishments---the bundle is carrying over into the spring mini---awesome! However, the designer paper, the holiday stamp set and the embellishments are only available during November & December!
