Curry cu

In preparing the colors this time we used Mossy Meadow instead of Cajun Craze--this lightens the color combo while still staying with traditional autumn colors.

This time we are layering the leaves over square backgrounds--this features each leaf as it's own painting. Adding Wink of Stella (impossible to see in the photo) adds a quite stunning effect.

We added 3 brushed metallic dots to add our touch of pizazz to the card.

Leaving off a greeting this now becomse one of those awesome stash cards that can be used at any time for any occasion--this one is definitely great for guys, gals...for birthdays, thank you, thinking of you, just a note....etc.

1. Cut Thick Very Vanilla cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 score long side at 4 1/4 (card base)

2. Cut Very Vanilla 4 1/8 X 5 3/8;  put through Quatrefoil embossing folder and adhere to card front.

3. Cut watercolor paper 3 1/2 X 5 (if creating more than one card use full sheet)

*Place 3-4 drops of reinker in the lids of the Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry, and Mossy Meadow ink pads.

*Using a water painter and a small container of water (the water painter doesn't deliver sufficient water for this technique) paint a light coat of water over the paper.

*Starting with Curry quickly pick up more water on the brush and add to the drops in the lid---add this color to random spots on the pre-wet paper. Repeat with Pumpkin and Mossy Meadow (if you work in this order you won't need to clean your brush between colors).
