Creating with Sit Stay Relax -- a New Stamp Set from Stampin'Up!

Today we're Creating with Sit Stay Relax -- a New Stamp Set from Stampin'Up! This too is a Host set in the new 2022-2023 Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog. If you missed the first Host set on Tuesday check it out here...https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/04/creating-with-garden-grandeur-a-new-stampinup-stamp-set.html

This is Sit Stay Relax (#159152)--a really super set for those of you who love your pets!

Sit stay relax stamp setBoth cats & dogs are featured along with some very useful verses.  Here's today's creation with this set

Sit stay rela

& a bit closer

Sit stay relax cu

One nifty feature is that all the images work wonderfully with just black & white--so if you are in a rush--one stamp pad works great! We're also using one of the new Designer Series Papers (Perfectly Penciled #159244)--a lovely set of all black & white images which fits most card creating needs.

Even though our design is in black and white--you can easily create this same card using any color or color combo--it's easily transformed into one of the new in Colors, for example Parakeet Party or Tahitian Tide.

I love the way the stamp image is graded to give you the gray tones--this makes it appear that you are using Gray ink, but it's simply the way the stamp is designed to give you that in-between tone!

I'll give you step by step directions below followed by the supply list so you can order what you need to re-create this card.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (AJVPTCQY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 4 1/8 X 5 2/8, put through Timeworn Type embossing folder (#156505); glue to card front

3. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 1/2 X 3 1/4; cut designer paper (Perfectly Penciled #159244) 4 3/8 X 3 1/8--glue to black layer & glue this unit to card front.

4. Die cut Basic White using 2nd largest circle  (Stylish Shapes #159183); stamp image in black ink. Adhere to card front with dimensionals.

5. Cut Basic white 1 3/4 X 3/4; stamp verse in black ink.

6. Cut silver foil 1 7/8  7/8: adhere verse layer with glue dots; adhere this with dimensional on right side only (left side can be adhered to circle with glue).

7. Adhere 3 small Basic Rhinestones (see photo).

Creating with Garden Grandeur - A New Stampin'Up! stamp set!

Today we're Creating with Garden Grandeur - A New Stampin'Up! Stamp Set! The new Stampin'Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog is in your hands - I know you've been devouring those pages & making those Wish Lists. Today we're creating a pretty little card using one of those new sets--Garden Grandeur (#159160) which is a new Host Set.

Garden grandeur stamp set

You can purchase this set only with Host dollars--but that doesn't mean that you have to host a class or party to get it. There are other ways---you can earn Host dollars by placing an order (minimum $150--that's not hard to do) yourself, OR, you can do a 'book party' to earn them.  You can gather orders from your stamping buddies--we'll send them in together with you as the "host" and you can then spend those dollars to purchase host stamp sets (or anything else you desire).

With the new catalog there are tons of great new products to choose from...so you CAN earn host rewards dollars very easily.

This floral set has several floral & leaf images that can be interplayed to form unlimited numbers of card designs.

Here's today's creation....

Garden grandeur a bit closer...

Creating Another Stunning Card with Stampin'Up! Prized Peony Stamps & Dies!

Today we're Creating Another Stunning Card with Stampin'Up! Prized Peony Stamps & Dies! Tuesday Debbie Crivello (one of our Dream Team creators) used the Peony Dies with Vellum for a striking card...if you missed it.. check it out here...Debbie's first peony card

Here's Debbie's design for today.

Flamingo peony

Now a bit closer to the flower...

Flamingo peopny cu

And when you open, here's the inside...

Flagmingo peony in

Instead of using one of the embossing folders Debbie has used die cuts from the Quiet Meadow dies to overlay the card front--this gives the delicacy of cut lace and a more pronounced image than the embossing folders provide most of the time. The white on white always adds an elegance while leaving the focus on the stamped flower.

The greeting is embossed in white on the Flirty Flamingo cardstock which matches the stamping ink for the flower. The "flirty" label die is from the Ornate Frames die set which adds a bit of fancy to the card.

The iridescent rhinestones are somewhat like chameleons in that they tend to pick up some of the underlying color to make wonderful embellishments

Thanks to Debbie for sharing another wonderful set of her creations.

I'll give you the step by step directions below followed by the Supply List so you can order the supplies you need to duplicate this card.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (AJVPTCQY) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White 8 ½ x 5 ½. Score long side at 4 ¼ (card base).

2. Cut Basic White 4 ¼ x 5 ½.

*Cut a variety of foliage from Basic White using Quiet Meadow dies. Arrange and glue on white panel. Place long stems towards the center to allow most of the leafy parts to show. Trim off excess.

3. Stamp two single peony blooms in Flirty Flamingo on white cardstock, die cut, and lightly color with light Flamingo Blends. Color centers with Daffodil Delight Blends.

4. Stamp several leaves with Pear Pizzaz and lightly shade with light Old Olive Blends. Cut with companion die.

5. Arrange on white panel and attach with glue to card front

6. Emboss greeting (Art Gallery) with White embossing powder on Flirty Flamingo cardstock; die cut with small Ornate Frames die.

7. Add Iridescent Rhinestones. Apply Wink of Stella to flowers between petals and veins.

8. For inside, cut piece of Flirty Flamingo 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. Layer a piece of white 4 x 5 ¼ to it. Attach to inside of card and stamp partial flower in lower right hand corner with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Create a Glorious Vellum Peony Card with Stampin'Up! Peony Dies

Today we're going to Create a Glorious Vellum Peony Card with Stampin'Up! Peony Dies.

Before we get started let me re-introduce you to one of our two Dream Team creators, Debbie Crivello. If you recall you saw some of Deb's creations in February and she's back with two more absolutely stunning creations this month.

Deb

This set of cards was designed with the Prized Peony stamps and the Peony dies...and this photo doesn't do justice to the actual card...

Vellum peomu 2

What this photo doesn't capture well is the Timeworn Type embossing in the background...so this photo tries to capture that detail here...isn't it amazing what this added to the whole card

Vellum peomy texure

Then again trying to hone in on the multi-layers in a close up...

Vellum peony cu

Then when you open the card there's still more to see...

Vellum peony in

Die cutting the peony layers in vellum gives that delicate translucent texture that isn't present when creating with simply cardstock--the vellum adds a whole new dimension. The gold hoop sets a perfect frame for such an elegant flower. These gilded gold studs add balance and pizzazz (if you know me at all you know how much I admire pizzazz!)

Many thanks to Debbie for sharing her talent with us today. Keep watch on Thursday because she has another beauty to share with us.

Directions:

1. Cut Basic White cardstock 5 ½ x 8 ½, score long side at 4 ¼ (card base).

2. Cut Freesia DSP 5 1/2 x 4 ¼. Glue to front of card base.

3. Cut Basic White 5 ¼ x 4. Emboss with Timeworn Type folder. Glue to Freesia layer

4. Cut peony layers from Freesia vellum. Assemble using small dots of glue. Use gold foil for center. Separate petals to get dimension.

5. Cut leaf layers from Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen vellum and assemble. Attach to flower.

6. Place two largest Layering Circles Dies together and cut from gold foil. Center this frame on front of card. Attach peony with dimensionals.

7. Using approximately 8" Freesia ribbon, tie bow and attach at base of flower with glue dot.

8. Finish with Gilded gems around gold frame.

9. For inside, Cut Fressia cardstock 5 ¼ x 4. Layer 5 x 3 ¾ white piece on top. Use leftover strip of freesia dsp (1/2 X 5 1/8) to decorate.

Create Sweet & Sassy Designs with Stampin'Up! Cactus Cuties!

Today we'll Create Sweet & Sassy Designs with Stampin'Up! Cactus CutiesTuesday we created another design with this set. If you missed it you can check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2022/04/quick-simple-with-stampinup-cactus-cuties.html

Here is today's fun design:

DoubleAnd just a bit closer...

Double cu

You will note that we used that versatile Timeworn Type embossing folder again for today's card. This folder is such a great background to almost any card--it gives a bit of texture without being overwhelming and without being formal or too casual...it's just right.

The designer paper in the background comes again from the Abstract Beauty Designer Series Paper. This pack is 4 X 6 which makes card-making a breeze and the designs range from the abstract to the ordinary (like the plaid we used Tuesday).

For this card we simply stamped the images...the black pot adds a crisp contrast to the other colors in the papers and ink.  The images are stamped on that sweet scalloped rectangle (Stitched So Sweetly dies).  This die set too is being retired 5/2/22.

The tiny cactus flowers were punched with the Cactus Builder punch--there are four images that can be punched with this tool.

Our design permitted us to cut the greeting tag to size so we could stamp the entire greeting without cutting into pieces as we did Tuesday.

I'll give you the step by step directions below followed by the Supply List so you can order the supplies you need to duplicate this card.

Remember: If you use this month's host code (AJVPTCQY ) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Basic White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base) put the card front through the Timeworn Type embossing folder.

2. Cut designer paper 3 X 5 1/2; cut Just Jade cardstock 4 1/4 X 3 1/4; adhere to back of designer paper with liquid glue. Adhere this unit to the card front.

3. Die cut scalloped rectangle (Stitched So Sweetly) from Basic White cardstock.

*Stamp pot in black in (e.g. Memento)
*Stamp double cactus in Shaded Spruce
*Punch two small flowers from Blushing Bride cardstock & adhere to cactus with glue.
*Adhere 3 small iridescent rhinestones around the cactus in an irregular triangle.
*Adhere to card front with dimensionals

4. Cut Blushing Bride cardstock 1/2 X 2 1/2; stamp verse in black ink. Adhere to card front with dimensionals.

Quick & Simple with Stampin'Up! Cactus Cuties!

Today we're creating Quick & Simple with Stampin'Up! Cactus Cuties! This fun little set is easy to use and the results just make you smile. Unfortunately, this bundle (stamps & punch) is retiring 5/2/22...that means you'll no longer be able to get this one...so my recommendation is to nab it while you still can!

Thumbnail_IMG_4544

Here's the card we're designing today:

Plaid

and a little closer...

Plaid close up

The pretty little pot is stamped and punched out (no die here) and the cactus plant is stamped in a Shaded Spruce and punched too-- this green is slightly darker than the Just Jade in that fantastic plaid background. Those perky pink flowers are also punched--so no die cuts for this card.

I adore plaids and this was a fun discovery in the Abstract Beauty Designer Paper. This is a 4 X 6 series of designer paper that is double-sided with some beautiful designs. All of these are great for card-making or photo mounting.

The greeting (Just a Note) was perfect except it was too long to fit my design. So I stamped it on white cardstock and then hand cut each word an mounted them in the available space. This is a useful trick when you have limited space and have a greeting that doesn't fit.

The fun sparkly gems come from the Silver & Clear Expoxy Essentials--these too are retiring and will be gone by 5/3/22.

Directions:

1. Cut Thick White cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score long side at 4 1/4 (card base); put card front through Timeworn Type embossing folder.

2. Cut plaid designer paper (Abstract Beauty DSP) 3 X 4

    *Cut Just Jade 3 1/8 X 4 1/8

    *Cut Shaded Spruce 3 3/8 X 4 2/8

*Adhere these 3 layers together with liquid glue & adhere this unit to card front.

3. Stamp pot in Balmy Blue on white cardstock & punch out--adhere to card front with dimensinoals.

4. Stamp cactus in Shaded Spruce, punch out & adhere above pot with a dimensionals

*Punch out 2 small flowers from Melon Mambo - adhere to catus with glue.

5. Cut approximately 8" of  navy twine, tie in bow and adhere to pot with a glue dot.

6. Stamp Just a Note in black ink (e.g. Memento) on white cardstock, cut out with paper snips and adhere to card (see sample) with dimensionals

7. Adhere 3 silver diamond shapes around cactus--see sample for placement
