Creating another Fast & Easy Thank You Card

Today we're Creating Another Fast & East Thank You Card! Tuesday we created a thank you card that was super fast and easy---if you missed it check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2021/12/fast-easy-thank-you-with-expressions-in-ink.html

Today we're continuing another quick card using the same pack of designer paper (Expressions in Ink)...this set of papers is packed with so much beauty that each design is perfect for creating a super fast card with little or no enhancement.  There's an array of colors so just choose one that is your fav. Here's our card for today...

Mint

And a bit closer...

Mint 2For layering we selected one of the darker tones in the paper and then pulled out the gorgeous gold foil with a layer of that right underneath the designer paper. Since this design is busier than the one we used on Tuesday I found that stamping 'thanks' directly on the design was less prominent that I wanted. So I cut a small piece of Vellum about the same size as the 'thanks', stamped on the vellum and adhered that over the paper. The vellum masks a bit of the brilliance of the paper colors but yet blends in so that it almost appears not to be there.

I'll give you the step by step directions followed by the supply list so you can order your supplies today.

Remember if you use this month's host code (HWWK9AFV) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Mint Macaron cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Shaded Spruce cardstock 3 3/4 X 5; adhere to card front with liquid glue.

3. Cut Gold foil paper3 1/2 X 4 3/4; adhere to spruce layer with liquid glue.

4. Cut Designer paper 3 3/8 X 4 5/8; adhere to gold foil with liquid glue.

5. Cut Vellum cardstock 1 X 2 3/8; stamp 'thanks' in Memento ink--be sure to let this dry well before handling. Ink on vellum does not dry as quickly as other papers. You can speed this up by heating with your Heat Tool on low setting. Adhere this to card front by placing a glue dot under the bottom of the "h" and under the body of the "k"--this is done to hide the glue dot from showing through the vellum. We're placing the glue dot under a portion that is less likely to be noticed.

A Fastest-er Awesome Christmas Card

Today I'll show you A Fastest-er Awesome Christmas Card. Tuesday we did the Fastest Christmas Card--if you missed it--check it out here https://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2021/12/fastest-christmas-cards-using-wonderful-snowflakes.html.

Well after giving it some thought I discovered and even faster Christmas card using the Wonderful Snowflakes...thus we have the 'Fastest-er' card...check it out

Cherry 1

And a little closer look...

Cherry cu

This little beauty uses the snowflakes just as they are--white and they contrast quite well on the Cherry piece of designer series paper (Sweet Stockings).  When displaying a completely white intricate embellishment (especially when it's to be a focal point) you look for a medium to dark background with little or no design. The pattern picked here is relatively dark Cherry Cobbler and it has a slight diagonal stitching design but not too bold. This background takes nothing away from the gorgeous snowflake in white.

Adding a couple of large opals to the center of the snowflakes gives them an addeitional sparkle of interest. Stamping the Merry in the same Cherry color does not draw the attention away from the snowflakes.

This lovely design can be accomplished in much less than 10 minutes and you can whip out 12 of these (2 sheets of designer paper) in about 20 minutes...who would guess?

I'll give you the step by step directions followed by the supply list so you can order your supplies today.

Remember if you use this month's host code (HWWK9AFV) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Cherry Cobbler cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Basic White cardstock 5 X 3 3/4; adhere to card front with liquid glue.

3. Cut Designer paper 3 5/8 X 4 7/8 (Sweet Stockings); adhere to white layer with liquid glue.

4. Adhere 2 Wonderful Snowflakes using glue dots; adhere a large opal to the center of each.

5. Cut 1/2 X 1 1/2 Basic White cardstock; stamp Merry (Time of Gift-giving stamp set) in Cherry Cobbler ink; adhere to card front with dimensionals.

Fastest Christmas Cards Using Wonderful Snowflakes

Today we're creating one of the Fastest Christmas Cards Using Wonderful Snowflakes. OK, Christmas is nearly here & all those plans to create an outstanding handmade card...well, it' still possible. So we need something awesome & quick--grab those Wonderful Snowflakes & Peaceful Place DSP --it takes about 10 minutes--if you're doing more than one you can whip out several in 30 minutes. No one will know that it was a last minutes design that took only 10 minutes!

Peaceful 2

Here's a close up of the snowflake

Peaceful cu

We first begin with a beautiful sheet of the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper...you can actually get 6 cards from a single sheet and since there are 2 sheets of this design in a pack, you can create 12 cards very quickly.

Then we nab a pack of those Wonderful Snowflakes--but they are white, right? And white just doesn't show well on the scene so we whip the snowflake over and dauber it with Smokey Slate ink--now we have a fascinating contrast between the snowflake and background.  Stamp "Merry" in a beautiful Cherry Cobbler and this now adds that extra snap of color that pumps this card up to wonderful from just pretty.

Grab those Basic Rhinestones and add three sparkles in a triangle --now you have a truly stunning Christmas card and all in less than 10 minutes. If you have an extra 5 minutes you could emboss the Merry with silver embossing powder.

I'll give you the step by step directions followed by the supply list so you can order your supplies today.

Remember if you use this month's host code (HWWK9AFV) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Cut Basic Gray cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score long side at 5 1/2 (card base)..

3. Cut the designer paper horizontally at 6" and then each piece in 3 7/8 X 5 1/8" pieces so that you capture the silver trees as your focal point. Adhere to card front with liquid glue.

Peaceful place dsp

How to Make a Shaker Christmas Gift Tag with a Jar Dome

Today I'll show you How to Make  a Shaker Christmas Gift Tag with a Jar Dome! Look at this cutie.

Jar tag

Who wouldn't love to have this on their gift package or gift bag! Best part is that you can coordinate it with any of your packaging designs and color schemes---you simply punch the designer paper of your choice and add a coordinating ribbon bow and you have the perfect tag for any gift.

The Soft Subtle sequins will blend well with any color scheme but you can switch those out for the Sequins for Everything (green, red, gold, silver) (#153556 in the annual catalog).

I'll give you the step by step directions followed by the supply list so you can order your supplies today.

Remember if you use this month's host code (HWWK9AFV) you can earn $5 in Stampin'Up! product (I choose) for every $50 in product that you order (excludes shipping & tax).

Directions:

1. Lay a jar dome on Basic White cardstock and trace with a pencil around the outside, hand cut with paper snips.

Draw around dome for backing

*On one side stamp "to" and "from" in black ink (Well Defined stamp set #156532).

To from

2. Punch your designer paper (I used Gingerbread & Peppermint) with the Jar punch; adhere this image to the center of the white cardstock (the side without the stamping).

*Punch a small hole at the top of this jar with a handheld 1/8" punch.

*Cut approximately 12" of silver twine (Simply Elegant Trim) and loop through the hole.

*Add approximately 1 teaspoon of soft subtle sequins to the middle of this piece...push in a pile to the center.

Add sequins

3. Punch another jar from Basic White cardstock (toss the jar) and lay the dome over this piece so the jar is "open' and trace around the outside of the dome with a pencil and hand cut around this with paper snips. This now looks like a large jar with a jar image punched out. Lay aside.

Top layer pencil line

4. Now take the adhesive backing off the back side of the dome. Position the dome over the jar with the sequins in the center and press firmly especially near the twine to seal well.

5. Now remove the adhesive backing off the front side of the dome. Adhere the white jar cut in step #3 to the adhesive on the front of the tag.

6. Cut approximately 8" double stitched red satin ribbon--tie a bow and adhere to neck of jar with a glue dot.
