"Simply" Beautiful Card #2

Today we'll create "Simply Beautiful Card #2 using the beautiful free Specialty Designer Series Paper - Flowering Foils. This foil embedded paper is now available as a free selection when you purchase $50 in Stampin'Up! product during Sale-a-bration that ends March 31st.

Here's today's creation using the "grid" patterned paper--it's a bit less fancy than Tuesday's floral design...this one is great for guys too! By simply adding a sentiment and a couple of copper blooms (these are punched with another free Sale-a-bration item Small Bloom punch) we've created another "Simple" design that is quick and easy but looks like a million bucks! (It's hard to take a picture that shows you all that shine!)

Directions:

1. Cut  Thick Whisper White ardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2; score long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Copper Foil 5 X 3 3/4; adhere to card base front with liquid glue

3. Cut grid of Flowering Foils Specialty DSP 3 5/8 X 4 7/8;  adhere to copper layer with glue dots.

4. Cut scalloped rectangle from Whisper White cardstock (So Sweetly Stitched framelits); stamp greeting (So Sentimental stamp set) in Memento ink. Adhere to card front with dimensionals.

5. Punch 3 blooms from the copper foil; add large rhinestone to center and adhere to rectangle with glue dots.

Your card is ready for sending.

"Simply" Beautiful Cards

Today we're starting a short series of "Simply" Beautiful Cards. There's a gorgeous set of designer paper that will be a Sale-a-bration freebie starting 3/3/20. It's "simply" so pretty that we can create some special cards very "simply."

The Designer paper looks like this... 152312S

The copper and silver foils are embedded in the thick white cardstock...just a gorgeous collection of patterns with many many variations to create lovely designs.

So, here's our first design using the floral pattern done in copper and silver foil:

It's truly a simple design but perfect for showing off this beautiful pattern. I used the alcohol Blends for coloring--you can use the Stampin'Write markers or Watercolor pencils, or.....you can leave it with no color and it will still be perfect! Ahhh, to color or not to color--that is the question! 

Also, since we are using no greeting on this card (why cover this flower) it is an excellent addition to your stock because it can be used for almost any occasion--birthday, thank you, anniversary, get well, thinking of you....whatever the occasion it will work!

Directions:

1. Cut Rococo Rose cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2; score long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Copper Foil 5 X 3 3/4; adhere to card base front with liquid glue

3. Cut floral pattern of Flowering Foils Specialty DSP 3 5/8 X 4 7/8; cut 14" white/silver ribbon--wrap around this layer and tie in a knot near bottom; adhere to copper layer with glue dots.

4. With Rococo Rose, Light Shaded Spruce, and Light Crumb Cake Blends--color one large image. This step is optional.

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #9

Today is our last in "Simply" Sandi Stamping #9  we'll step up our Tuesday's card to include a 3D layer.....

How simple and  pretty is that! We added two die cuts of the flowers--one is a plain Terracotta cardstock (bottom layer) and the top layer we stamped on white cardstock and added the die cut with dimentionals---awesome 3D but a simple card.

The dies are from the new Coordination products--Nature Thoughts that coordinate with the Positive Thoughts stamp set. I'll give you the simple directions below followed by the Supply list.

Directions:

1. Cut Thick Whisper White cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, use the Stone 3D embossing folder to dry emboss; adhere to card front with liquid glue.

3. Cut 3 X 3 Whisper White cardstock
    *Stamp the small color swatch (Dressed to Impress) Petal Pink ink near the left bottom--if you want a darker image, re-ink and stamp again.
    *Stamp Hugs, Prayers, Love in Stazon Jet Black ink in the upper left corner

4. Cut 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 Basic Black cardstock; adhere stamped layer to this with dimensionals; adhere this unit to card front with liquid glue.

5. Stamp the flower in Terracotta ink on Whisper White cardstock (daub with Wink of Stella--don't swipe--it will smear the ink), die cut; die cut another flower in Terracotta cardstock. Add the Terracotta flower to the lower right corner with dimensionals and layer the stamped die cut on top with dimensionals--offset slightly to see the Terracotta layer peek out.

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #8

Following our "Simply" project progression today we're creating the full size card with "Simply" Sandi Stamping #8 based on the Petal Pink 3 X 3 notecard from last Friday. Here's the  result: Flower card

We're creating the color swath look on a full sized card front using one of the coloring images in the Dressed to Impress stamp set--see how we are re-creating that pre-printed image from the note card with this stamp. Then using the same flower stamp and ink along with the verse and coordinating rhinestones...the focal point is complete. Then we used the Coastal Weave 3D embossing folder to give that background a very interesting boost.

    *add 3 Champagne rhinestones in a rough triangle (see pic)

4. Cut 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 Basic Black cardstock; adhere stamped layer to this with dimensionals; adhere this unit to card front with liquid glue.

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #7

Today we are on to one more set beginning with "Simply" Sandi Stamping #7,  I've been having a blast working through the simple notecard to the 3D versions using  these  very basic pre-printed designs on the Best Dressed 3 X 3 Note cards that are coordinated with lovely scalloped flap envelopes.

Today's 3 X 3 card focuses on the Petal Pink note card that we are coordinating with the Terracotta Tile In Color stamp for the flower...check it out...

Notice how we are "simply" adding the verse along with a focal point image--then just adding the 3 rhinestones for some pizzazz and to tie those together--what do you think?

3. Add 3 purple rhinestones (Chapagne rhinestones) to the front in a rough triangle (see pic for placement)

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #6

3. Cut 3 X 3 Whisper White cardstock
    *Stamp the small color swatch (Dressed to Impress) in Highland Heather ink near the left bottom
    *Stamp Hugs, Prayers, Love in Stazon Jet Black ink in the upper left corner
    *Stamp leave stem in Gorgeous Grape angling slightly from top right toward bottom center
    *add 3 purple Noble Peacock rhinestones in a rough triangle (see pic)

4. Cut 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 Basic Black cardstock; adhere stamped layer to this with dimensionals; adhere this unit to card front with liquid glue.

5. Stamp the leaf stem again on Whisper White cardstock in Gorgeous Grape, daub Wink of Stella on the leaves taking care not to smear the ink (water based ink is soluble in Wink of Stella).  Cut out image using the die from Nature's Thoughts Dies (#153586).  With dimensionals adhere this over the stamped leaves on the card moving slightly to the right so the underlying leaves peek through.

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #5

Today we're creating the full size card with "Simply" Sandi Stamping #5 based on the Purple Posy 3 X 3 notecard from Tuesday. Here's the  result:Leaves card
We're mimicing the subtle purple background using one of the color splotches from the Dressed to Impress stamp set...then layering the "notecard" look on a full sized card front using the new Stone 3D embossing folder from the Sale-a-bration bundle Power of Hope. It's a very simple transition from the notecard to the full card...but totally awesome results.

"Simply" Sandi Stamping #4

Today we are tackling "Simply" Sandi Stamping #4, but before we begin--thanks for hanging in there last week while I was ill...things are looking better this week and we are ready for a new "Simply." Here's this week's first step for another of those wonderful 3 X 3 Best Dressed Note Cards in the new Stamin'Up! Jan-Jun Mini catalog.  These cuties have a very basic pre-printed design and are coordinated with lovely scalloped flap envelopes--today's design uses the Purple Posy embellishment...what do you think?
