It's Time to Say THANK YOU

It's Time to Say THANK YOU for those lovely gifts and thoughtful gestures over the holidays.  If you are like me you have tons to catch up on now that the holidays are coming to a close. So you don't need to spend a lot of time creating a Thank you note...but you do want it to look special to show how grateful you are....so try this one.... Balmy blue

We using those cute Scalloped Note cards and matching envelopes.  The cutting and design work is all done--all we need to do is add some ink, die cuts, and a couple of embellishments...and the results look fantastic!  That sweet scalloped edge with the white background peeking through are just right to add some interest and detail without having to put forth any effort.

The note cards come in a pack of 5 of each of four colors (Balmy Blue, Calypso Coral, Terracotta Tile, Old Olive) for $8 ---now that's a terrific bargain, right? After the extra spending during the holidays it's great to find a bargain.

The snowflakes are from the Snowman Season stamp set--a great classic Christmas and winter set that will be carrying over to 2020... so you can purchase it and know that it will be "current" for another year!

Directions:

1.Stamp  snowflakes randomly over the front of a Balmy Blue Scalloped Note Card.

2. Die cut Thank You from Sparkle Glimmer paper; attach to front of note card with liquid glue.

3. Add 3 small rhinestones to the middle of the large snowflakes in 3 of the snowflake trios.

Your card is ready for sending!

Super Quick Small Gift Card Holder

Today we're creating a Super Quick Small Gift Card Holder.  Tuesday we created one for the large gift cards but not all gift cards come on those large cardboard holders...so today's holder is for those cards...see the sample red gift card inserted in the holder..

The base for the holder is again the Copper Treat Bag..(packs of ten for $5.50--a great bargain). This is a simple twist on Tuesday's design....so check it out below!

Directions:

1. Fold the gift bag in half. Fold bag

2.Tie approximately 28" Red Ruched ribbon around the bag which will hold it in this position.

3. Use one of the tags from the Joy of Giving Tag Kit and tie twine around the red bow! [If you don't have this kit, punch a "tree" from Shaded Spruce cardstock (#146981) with the Pine Tree punch (#149521)---punch a hole in the top and loop through 12" of Whisper White twine (#124262) and tie around the red knot.] Small gch

Super Quick Gift Card Holder

Today we're creating a Super Quick Gift Card Holder! Gift cards are very popular as Christmas gifts--both the giver and the receiver enjoy the fact that they are always the right size and color, right? But, we also enjoy sprucing them up in a cool looking holder so that they are very attractive when you present them.

Here's today's holder designed to hold the gift cards enclosed in the large cardboard holder... Bag angle

The base for the holder is the Dotted Copper Treat Bag...they come in packs of ten for $5.50--a great bargain in themselves. By this time of the season you are most likely running late on the seasonal preparationns and wrapping might be low on the list of "must do"--so this will move it up on your "to-do" list because it's gorgeous and super quick! This  bag is also great for other small gifts...candy, jewelry, etc.

2. Use either the 1/2" circle punch or the Detailed Trio Punch to punch 2 holes in the top of the bag about 1/2" apart. Bag back

Fast & Easy Gift Card Holder - #2

Here's another quick take on Fast & Easy Gift Card Holder #2.

Tag pillow box

We're still using the fold-together (no glue required) Pillow Boxes. Since they are fully assembled--all you do is fold them on the score lines--no glue required. There are ten boxes in a pack for $5.  Great bargain--Plus you can still claim that it is hand-made...because it is!

And as we mentioned Tuesday--you can also use them for other small gifts--earrings, bracelets, and edible goodies.

Because these take such a short time to put together that leaves you with more time to enjoy your other holiday activities...making your Christmas cards, decorating the tree, visiting with friends and family.

Directions:

1. Before opening the pillow box, use the smallest Layering Oval die to cut a "handle" through both layers near the end of the box Cutting oval

2. Punch a 2" circle from Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp the greeting (Greatest Part of Christmas) in Shaded Spruce ink; add 2 red rhinestones. Punch a Starburst from Real Red Glimmer paper. Tag medalliion

3. Glue dot the 2 circles together.

4. Adhere the medallion to the front middle of the pillow box using dimensionals.

5. Fold box bottom together following the pre-scored lines. Add your gift card to box.

6. Cut 18" Red Ruched ribbon, tuck through oval opening and tie in a bow.

Your box is ready for giving!

Fast & Easy Gift Card Holder

Today we're going to create a Fast & Easy Gift CArd Holder! Check it out Tree pillow box

It's base is the fold-together (no glue required) Pillow Boxes...this is such a simple design that you can crank out several in a few minutes...usually wrapping the gift cards takes longer than going to purchase then. This one takes only a couple of minutes using the pillow box. The boxes come in packs of ten for $5...so that's also a nice an inexpensive "wrap."  

You can also use these cuties for other small gifts, candy or homemade cookies (and still have room for a gift card).

2. Punch a tree (Pine Tree punch) from your favorite Perfectly Plaid Designer paper; punch a 2" circle from Crumb Cake cardstock and a Starburst from Gold Glimmer paper.

3. Glue dot the 2 circles together; use dimensionals to adhere the tree to the crumb cake layer. Add a copper Star Element to the top of the tree. Tree medallion

4. Use liquid glue to adhere the medallion to the front middle of the pillow box.

5. Fold box bottom together following the pre-scored lines. Add your gift card to box.

6. Cut 18" Red Ruched ribbon, tuck through oval opening and tie in a bow.

Your box is ready for giving!

The Last Fast & Easy Treat #6

Today we're creating The Last Fast & Easy Treat #6.  And it makes sense we'd end with Santa! Our jolly little Santa treat holder can be stuffed with anything from Hershey Kisses to something more substantial like a $20 bill--imagine opening this little treat holder and finding some cash! Santa

By now you have an arsenal of designs that you can use to create some awesome treat holders...of course, Thanksgiving and Christmas are only the tip of the ice burg---the possibilities go on and on (maybe we'll explore some more ideas later). Santa angle

Directions:

1. From a piece of Real Red cardstock cut the Mini Curvy Keepsake box---note, since this has score lines do not use the Precision Base plate--use the Magnetic platform. Fold on the score lines.

2. Cut a 1/4 X approximately 2" piece of Basic Black cardstock; cut a small square of Silver Glimmer paper and adhere to middle of the black band.  Cut a 1/4 X 1/4" piece of black cardstock and adhere to the center of the Silver Glimmer with a glue dot. Adhere the black band to the middle of one non-handle side of the box with glue dots. Using paper snips trim band to the front flap.

 3. Add your treat - close the box folding the other 2 side over the handles.

4. Stamp "Merry Merry" in Call Me Clover ink on  Whisper White cardstock. Cut out with the square die (Mini curvy keepsake dies). Cut a sprig (die in Mini Curvy Keepsake dies) from Silver Glimmer paper; adhere to tag with a glue dot.  Add  3 Red  Rhinestones  to the bottom of the sprig. Santa tag

5. Cut  approximately  12"  Whisper White twine,  fold  in half and loop through top of tag, tie around the handle in a bow.

6. Add 3 large Rhinestones (one below and 2 above the belt) for buttons.

Fast & Easy Treat #5

Here we go with Fast & Easy Treat #5! Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer no less! This Sweet little sweet holder ---or any other small treat will fit inside -- like gold ear rings! Just Sayin.' Imagine opening this little sweetie on Christmas morning with a pair of lovely ear rings or bracelet...right? The possibilities are endless. Reindeer angle

Still using the Mini Curvy Keepsake box die means we don't need to purchase much else to re-create this one. Again, making this a really useful die or bundle from the Holiday Mini.

Directions:

1. From a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut the Mini Curvy Keepsake box---note, since this has score lines do not use the Precision Base plate--use the Magnetic platform. Fold on the score lines.

2. Punch 1/2" circle from Red Glimmer Paper; adhere to front non-handle flap with a dimensional. Adhere 2 large Googly eyes with glue dots.

 3. Add your treat - close the box folding the other 2 side over the handles. Punch two sprigs (Spring punch) from Early Expresso  cardstock and trim off the bottom leaf of each side--adhere the 2 resulting sprigs to handle with glue dot (one on each side).

4. Cut approximately 10" red cotton ribbon, tie in a bow and adhere to bottom of handle with a glue dot.
