A Stepped Up DIY Frosty Gift Card Holder with Secret Sparkly Snow

Today we are going to create another gift card holder but this one is A Stepped Up DIY Frosty Gift Card Holder with Secret Sparkly Snow. We're still using the simple Pillow Box as the base..this time we are adding some snow-covered "sparkly" greenery-- I'll let you know what the secret is shortly.  First, here's the finished product--see the white frosty pine peeping through the frosted greenery. Now here's a close up of the sparkly frosty snow covered greenery.... Pillow box GCH - close up

How do you get that sparkle....first spread the Snowfall Puff Paint over the pine boughs...then before heating....sprinkle the paint with Ice Glitter. Then use the heat tool to puff up the paint and you'll have that sparkly frosty snow! Isn't that an awesome effect?

I"ll give you the step by step directions below followed by the supply list. If you place an order online and use this month's Host code (CWJCVXS7) you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up! product from me for each $50 in product that you purchase.

Directions:

1. Rub the embossing buddy across the entire front of a pillow box, stamp the three branch pine with Whisper White Craft ink--stamp once going up and another time with the branch going down. Then sprinkle liberally with Shimmery White embossing powder, heat with the heat tool until shiny white.

2. Cut two triple pine branches from Mossy Meadow cardstock. Spread Snowfall Puff paint over the greenery, sprinkle with Ice Glitter and then heat with heat tool until the snow is puffy. Adhere these  with liquid glue over the stamped images so the white branches underneath peek through the greenery.

3. Cut approximately 16" of Real Red Ruched ribbon, wrap around the middle of the box and tie in a knot.

Your box is now ready for the gift card and giving!
