New Colors of Stampin'Up! Linen Thread!

Want to see New Colors of Stampin'Up! Linen Thread!

I was creating a card for a friend & I added some linen thread...here's what the card looked like, Linen on seahorse

The thread was the accent I wanted but it just blended into the background--not much pizzazz. Then I remembered an "accident" my friend (Diane Flayhart--thank you Diane!) experienced when she accidentally dragged her linen thread  over the Early Expresso ink pad...not what she intended but, let's try it intentionally.. here's the result: Espresso - seahorse

Much better, right--now that has pizzazz in spades! Thanks to Diane's accident..we have new colors of Stampin'Up! Linen thread to play with.  Keep in mind that the linen thread is by nature a darker thread--so it will color better with darker colors of ink. For my experiment I used the Early Espresso Stampin'Write Marker--simply because it was less messy--but the ink pad works just fine--use a pair of scissors to hold the thread on the ink pad & pull the thread through.

I simply laid the thread on the mat & dragged the marker broadside over the thread...both techniques work fine.  I'll give you  directions to create this card below. Following that will be the supply list. Order your supplies so you can re-create this card--hit the Shop Now button and you'll be in my store.

Another Quick but Cute Scalloped Note Card

The Creative Escape is tomorrow and yes, I am rushed as usual so I needed a quick card---so I created Another Quick but Cute Scalloped Note Card!

This time I picked (I only have to choose from 4 colors!) the Balmy Blue card. I decided I liked the white contrast under the scalloped edge so I used white to decorate the top. Instead of Designer Paper I used the Crackle Paint stamp which is totally awesome for just about any card design--from fancy to rustic! Here's the result... Scalloped note card daisy

I also used a Perennial Essence Floral Center for the Daisy center--they are so cute--they add dimension and are a fuzzy fun textile to add to your card.

I'm going to give you the brief directions for this note card followed by the Supply List. You can hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images below and you'll be in my store. You can order your supplies to create these cute cards.

Quick & Easy Notecards

I'm always in a hurry and never enough time so I'm really excited about Quick & Easy Scalloped Note Cards & Envelopes. They give me a quick pretty base with 4 great colors to start with--so I don't have to choose among 50 colors--just 4--that limits my choosing time significantly.

Then the scalloped edge on the note card and on the matching envelope really adds  pizzazz to my creation with no effort on my part...so now all I need to do is add a bit of decoration on the front and I'm good to go.

Today I'm using a cute little new stamp and die bundle from the new catalog  called Pretty Pavilion.Since the note card is slightly smaller than a regular sized card I chose a couple of the smaller stamps to use....here's the result: Scalloped note card pretty pavilion

I stamped in Memento ink so I could use my Blend alcohol markers. I love my Blends--the color flows so evenly and brightly...I never have to worry about streaking. And when one marker runs dry (yes, I use them a lot) I only have to purchase one marker and not the Combo.

I'm going to give you the brief directions for this note card followed by the Supply List. You can hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images below and you'll be in my store. You can order your supplies to create these cute cards.
