Card Directions:

1. Cut Bermuda Bay cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Pool Party cardstock 5 x 3 3/4, adhere to card front with liquid glue

3. Cut Shimmery cardstock 4 7/8 X 3 5/8. Stamp Bokeh Dots in Coastal Cabana classic ink in the middle. Stamp the wheat image in Stazon jet black ink to the left and the verse to the right (see picture for placement). Adhere this layer to the card front with liquid glue.

Today we're making Another Creation with the FREE Botanical Butterfly DSP.  Tuesday we created a quick card with some coloring--when I cut out the part of the designer paper that I wanted for that card there was a resulting piece of DSP that measured 3 3/8 x 3 3/8...I didn't want to waste that so I designed a card around that piece.

This one, just like Tuesday's card, was enhanced with a bit of coloring--so I got my coloring fix without spending a lot of time doing it.  Plus I'm not wasting any of that lovely DSP and getting another card design for my stash.

Here's the card...

This time I used Coastal Cabana and a bit of Berumuda Bay...you can use just about any color with this great black and white DSP and have a wonderfully coordinated design.

Card Directions:

1. Cut Thick White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut Coastal Cabana cardstock 4 X 5 1/4; adhere to white base with liquid glue.

3. Cut Basic Black cardstock 3 1/2 X 3 1/2; adhere the 3 3/8 X 3 3/8 dsp (left over from Tuesday's cutting); adhere this unit to the Coastal Cabana (see pic for placement); coloring. Adhere a large rhinestone to the butterfly head. Color with Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay markers and enhance with Wink of Stella.

4. Stamp "Happy Birthday" in Stazon Jet Black to a piece of Whisper White cardstock 1 X 3 3/8; adhere this to the bottom of the Coastal Cabana piece.

Card Directions:

1. Cut Pineapple Punch cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (car base)

2. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 3/4 X 3 1/2; adhere to card base with liquid glue.

3. Cut 3 3/8 X 4 5/8 from the Botanical Butterfly designer paper (flower/butterfly design) Note: position your cut to capture your favorite butterfly)

4. Color the primary butterfly with Pineapple Punch and Lemon Lime Twist markers. Color the pineapple portion with Wink of Stella; adhere this piece to the black cardstock with liquid glue.

5. On Whisper White cardstock stamp "Happy Day" (Itty Bitty Birthday) in Stazon Jet Black ink; punch out with Classic label punch. Cut 1 3/4 X 5/8 Gold Glimmer paper; glue dot the verse to this and adhere to the card front using dimensionals.

Are there times when you can't make it to class but want to stamp...well here's Stamping At Your Convenience!

It's called Sandi's Simply Stamping -- because you only stamp (and maybe color depending on the card design) All the other work will be prepared for you. (You'll only need stamps/inks, adhesive, wet embossing supplies/coloring supplies depending on the card design)

Notecard directions:

1. Cut 3 X 4 1/2 Basic Black cardstock and adhere with liquid glue (#110755) to the notecard base (Whisper White Notecards with Envelopes).

2. Cut 2 7/8 X 4 3/8 designer paper (I used the Botanical Butterfly DSP) and adhere to the black layer. Stamp Just a Note (Butterfly Gala stamp set) in Stazon Jet Black ink in the lower right corner.

3. If you want to color the woodend butterflies, I used the Dark Poppy Parade Blend marker (small buttterfly) and the Dark Calypso Coral Blend marker (large butterfly). There are alcohol markers and the ink dries instantly.

4. Adhere the butterflies to the card front with glue dots.

Today I'll show you how I manage my Stampin'Up! Big Shot Die Image Organization!

With the new Stampin'Up! Occasions Mini catalog products I've collected tons of new thinlets and framelits. I often can't remember which leaf die is in which set framelits. So I've developed a system that will help me quickly identify what images are in which set of framelits! Here's a close up of one set of dies...

I took the die set (Catch of the Day) and if there was a coordinating stamp (Best Catch) I stamped the image on cardstock and then die cut it. This way I'll know what stamps have a coordinating die. If there is no coordinating stamp I simply cut the image with the die.

I cut a contrasting piece of cardstock 6 X 5 1/2 (this way you get 2 pieces from a single sheet of cardstock) --this size will fit in one of the Stampin'Up! 6 X 8 cello bags (Item #102210, 50 bags in a pack). I adhere the cutouts on this cardstock and slip it in the cello bag. 

I cut another piece of cardstock (I used white) 3 X 6 1/4, scoring the long side at 1 1/2 inches.  On one side of this "header" I write the name of Suite/Dies/Stamps, the page number in the catalog...and now that I'm thinking about it---I would also include the name of the catalog.

Fold this piece on the score line and staple it to the top of the cello bag...now you have all the images and the relevant info about this set of dies. 

I'm storing mine in a plastic shoebox but one of my stampers thought it would be great to file it in a 6 X 8 album (#144764, p. 195 in the Annual catalog) which is an awesome suggestion!

Here are several of the ones that I have completed.

Now when I need a leaf die, I can quickly thumb through the cello bags and find just the right die in seconds rather than trying to see what they look like and what size they are in the catalog or opening up the die envelope and rustling through the dies...that just takes too much time for me. I need something quick and easy...so far, I've loved the efficiency of this!

Card Directions:

1.Cut Thick Whisper White cardstock 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base)

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4 C 5; cut Powder Pink cardstock 2 1/4 X 2 3/4; lay this piece in the center of the white cardstock and stamp the flower arch (To Have and to Hold) in Memento ink over the top and bottom of the pink piece.  Use the Blends (Light & Dark Poppy Parade, Light & Dark Granny Apple Green and Dark Daffodil Delight) to color the images.

3. With approximately 14" of Grapefruit Grove Ribbon (free Sale-a-bration ribbon #149623) and tie around the white cardstock. Attach this piece to the card base with dimensionals (#104430).

4. Cut "thanks" and "you" from Gold Glimmer cardstock with the Well Written dies...attach to Pink cardstock with liquid glue (#110755). Stamp "sending" and "to" in Memento ink ---see card picture for placement. Attach this piece with dimensionals to the center of the card base.

You are ready to send your 'thanks.'
