Great Convenient Storage for Big Shot Dies

Today I'm sharing a Great Convenient Storage for Big Shot Dies. This wonderful storage tip comes from Diantha Kenney, one of Sandi's Stampers.

As many of us have encountered issues when storing our Big Shot framelits and thinlets...we are always looking for easy quick and convenient storage solutions for these tools. The paper/tape combo on which these dies arrive from Stampin'Up! are not really great storage when you are using these tools on a daily basis.

Small pieces easily go missing, the tape can stick to unintended surfaces and the paper base can rip and tear easily if you are using these dies frequently.

Diantha uses magnetic heating vent covers--she cuts them to 5 X 6 and 6 X 6 depending on the size of the original plastic die storage envelope. She then adheres these magnets to chipboard with Tear & Tape (double sided sticky tape). This provides a nice rigid surface that does not easily bend. Diantha's die storage solution

As you may have encountered previously--a slight bend to the magnetic surface can detach the dies from it's surface. With the magnets attached to the chipboard, this minimizes the bending and promotes the dies remaining attached to the magnet.

Since these magnets are cut to the size of the plastic envelope, there is no need to find another container--just use the plastic envelope in which the dies arrived. No need to relabel a container because the plastic envelopes already have the name and item number of the dies printed on them.

The vent covers can be purchased at Home Depot (3 magnets for $4.98) and these packs already contain a sheet of chipboard in them. Additional packs of chipboard can be purchased on Amazon.

We want to thank Diantha for sharing her terrific storage tip with us today.
