1. Cut Blushing Bride cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (cardbase)

2. Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 5 X 3 3/4; adhere to card front with liquid glue

3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 3/4 X 3 1/2; Stamp the two pig images in black ink. Color with Blushing Bride marker and Lemon Lime Marker. Re-color pigs with Wink of Stella....love the pizzazz that creates? Add a rhinestone to the flower center. Adhere this layer to the Lemon Lime Twist layer with liquid glue.

Today we're creating a card that is Simply Simply Pretty! And this card can be used for many occasions (birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, thank you, etc). This card was created by Noella Ryan-Paul, one of Sandi's Stampin' Swappers!

The simple design yet quiet elegance really lends itself to a variety of occasions and one of those cards that can be quickly assembled so you can create a bunch and have them on hand when you need one.

We are using the Eastern Beauty stamp set which, happily, is not retiring. However, we are also using the Eastern Gold Vinyl stickers which ARE retiring shortly.

Here are the directions:

1. Cut Tranquil Tide cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base)

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock at 4 X 5 1/4

3. Stamp flower (Eastern Beauty stamp set) in Tranquil Tide ink in a row down the left side of White cardstock; stamp the dots in Lemon Lime Twist ink (note: place the "point" at the center of the flower--this will cover 3 petals. Repeat this for the other 3 petals). Add the gold sticker to the flower centers (Easter Gold Vinyl stickers).

4. Stamp the big circle in Lemon Lime Twist ink on the lower right side of the card base; stamp 'Enjoy Today' (Eastern Beauty stamp set) i the stamped circle in Tranquil Tide ink. Adhere this layer to the card base using liquid glue.

Today we're going to be creating Another Simply Gorgeous Card! This card was created by another Sandi's Swapper, Bonnie Robbins.

As with Tuesday's card, my recommendation is to use the Precision Base Plate and the Die Brush to make this a simple but fabulous design. 

Note: my photograpic skills leave much to be desired--this card is actually Melan Mambo--but you'd be hard pressed to identify that color from the photo!

Again, just changing the colors of the middle layer and the die cut can change the 'mood' of the card and fit the occasion that you need, Change 'Just a Note' to Congratulations, Happy Anniversary, Happy Birthday, or My Sympathy---and you have a card that is both versatile and gorgeous!

 Here are the card directions:

1. Cut Whisper White thick cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/5, score the long side at 4 1/4 (cardbase)

2. Cut Melan Mambo cardstock 4 X 5 1/4; adhere this to the card front with liquid glue

3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4 X 5; adhere this to the Melan cardstock on card front.

4. Cut Melan Mambo cardstock approximately 3 1/2 X 4 1/2; cut flourish with the Flourish thinlet. Use this Big Shot sandwich: Magnetic Base, Precision Base plate, cardstock, die,  standard cutting pad.  Run die through 2-3 times. Leave die in place  on cardstock and use the Die Brush over the thinlet to remove paper bits. After removing die from cardstock, use piercing tool to remove any other remaining bits of cardstock. Adhere this flourish to card front with liquid glue.

5. Stamp 'Just a Note'  (Flourishing Phrases stamp set) in Melan Mambo ink in lower right corner.

 Today's card is Simply Gorgeous! And, it's fairly simple to create. This luscious little pretty was created by one of Sandi's Swappers, Shari Clifton.

The simplicity of the design is very attractive if you want beauty as well as simple. For this Detailed Floral Thinlet I recommend using the Big Shot Precision Base Plate and the Die Brush to remove the bits of paper...these two tools are what help with the simplicity of the design.

Plus, you can substitute any color for your card base and change the "feel" of the card to fit your occasion.

 Here are the card directions:

1. Cut 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 Melan Mambo cardstock, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base).

2. Cut 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 Whisper White cardstock; using the Detailed Floral Thinlets (top and bottom dies) set up your Big Shot sandwich : Magnetic Platform, Precision Base Plate, cardstock dies, standard cutting pad. Run through Big Shot 2-3 times. Leave the dies in place  on the cardstock and use the Die Bruch over the dies to remove the cut out bits of paper. If needed after removing the dies from the cardstock, use the piercing tool (*Item #126189) to remove any remaining paper bits.

3. Stamp "A Special..." (Floral Phrases stamp set) in Basic Black ink in the space between the 2 die cuts.

4. Adhere the die cut piece to the card front using liquid glue.

Mother's Day is this weekend so we're going to make a great Mother's Day Card today.

This card was created by a Sandi's Stampers Swapper, Mary Rew...it's simple beauty makes it a great card to make if you are waiting until the last minute like many of us do because of rushed schedules--right?

This card uses A Mother's Flair stamp set which is retiring from the Stampin'Up! Occasions Mini catalog...it's such a super set--it's the one with that awesome high heeled shoe! Yep, that's the one! It's  great set to have on hand--you'll want to get this set before it goes out of stock!

1. Cut 4 1/4 X 11 Bermuda Bay cardstock, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut 4 1/2 X 5 3/8 Bermuda Bay cardstock and use the Ruffled folder (item #143699); adhere to card front using liquid glue; adhere a white doily (item # 141701) to the center with liquid glue.

3. Cut 1 7/8 X 3 5/8 Whisper White cardstock, stamp purse image (both in A Mother's Flair stamp set) in Bermuda Bay ink;  use the embossing buddy on the right side of the purse, stamp verse in Versamark ink, sprinkle with silver embossing powder, heat with Heat Tool until shiny bright; adhere 3 rhinestones.

4. Cut 3 X 2 1/4 Silver glimmer paper; adhere to underside of stamped white cardstock with glue dots; adhere this unit to the card front with liquid glue

This card was created by one of our card swappers, Laura Thacker...she did an awesome job using that beautiful Designer Series Paper, Sweet Soiree. This design is great because you can substitute many of your designer papers. This one happens to be retiring soon so if you fall in love with it you better grab it fast before supplies run out!

I'm going to give you directions for this card that are slightly different than Laura used but the resulting card will look just like Laura's.

1. Cut 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 Red Rose cardstock, score the long side at 4 1/4. (card base)

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 1/8 X 5 3/8, adhere to front card base with liquid glue.

3. Cut flower pattern (Sweet Soiree DSP) 2 X 5 1/2; adhere to front top of card base with liquid glue

4. Cut polka dot pattern (Sweet Soiree DSP)  1 1/4 X 5 1/2; adhere to front bottom of card base with liquid glue

5. Stamp "Today blooms just for you" (Perennial Birthday stamp set) in Flirty Flamingo ink on the white space showing between the 2 pieces of DSP

6. On Whisper White cardstock, stamp "..Best." (Apron of Love) in Flamingo; stamp "Mom" (Apron of Love) in Marina Mist ink; stamp "..EVER.." (Apron of Love) in Flirty Flamingo ink. Cut out with Layering circle die.

7. Cut Stitched Shape Circle slightly larger than the above circle in Marina Mist cardstock; adhere these 2 circles with liquid glue. Adhere this unit to card front with dimensionals.

Did you know Flirty Flowers Soon Gone for Good! That's right...they are retiring soon. Before they vanish forever, I wanted to share another Sandi's Swapper's cards using this lovely set. This card was created by Maggie McGhan...pretty cool, right?

Do you see the the shadowed effect of the flowers--I'll explain how she did that in the directions below. Following the directions I'll give you the shopping list for items you'll need to re-create this cutie.

Here are the directions:

1. Cut Daffodil Delight cardstock 4 1/4 X 11,  score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 5 1/4 X 4; run though Big Shot in Garden Trellis embossing folder and adhere to card front using liquid glue.

3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 4 X 2; stamp flower stem (Flirty Flower stamp set) in Smokey Slate ink. Let dry well while cleaning stamp.

4. Rub embossing buddy over cardstock, stamp image again in Versamark in slightly offsetting the image from the smokey slate image. Sprinkle with Silver embossing powder, heat with heat tool until shiny silver. Adhere 3 large rhinestones (see card for placement)

5. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 1/4 X 2 1/4, adhere the above stamped image to this using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere unit to left of card front using dimensionals.

6. On Whisper White cardstock (rub first with embossing buddy) stamp Happy Birthday (Sweet Cupcake stamp set) in Versamark ink, sprinkle with Silver embossing powder, heat with Heat Tool until shiny silver.  Punch out verse with Duet Banner punch. Punch out another banner in Daffodil Delight; cut in middle and affix to back of white banner (so that yellow shows on each end--see card sample) with liquid glue.  Adhere to card front with dimensionals.

Your card is ready for mailing!

Did you know that bold butterflies are going to be extinct? That's right, after May 31st Bold Butterflies framelits will no longer be available---nor will the beautiful Water Wings stamp set....they are both retiring forever! So before they go, I want to show you another Spring Swap card that was submitted by one of Sandi's Stampers, Susan Dockman. Isn't this lovely?

The multicolored wings are created by using a multi-step stamp set and different ink shades to get that 2 toned effect. 

I'm going to give you the directions for this card followed by the list of supplies you'll need to create it. Remember

Here are the card direction:

 1. Cut Peekaboo Peach cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Attach doily to upper cardbase using liquid glue in the center of the doily.

3. Stamp "The Little Momets with you Matter a Lot to Me" (Watercolor Wings stamp set) in Peekaboo Peach ink in the lower right corner of cardfront

4. On Whisper White cardstock (#100730) stamp the solid butterfly image (Watercolor Wings stamp set) in Crushed Curry ink; over the top of that image stamp the image with large/small dots in Peekaboo Peach ink. Stamp the body in Soft Suede. Using the butterfly outline die (Bold Butterfly thinlets) cut out the stamped image.

5. Using the small butterfly die, cut the image from Vellum cardstock..attach to center of big butterfly with liquid glue. Adhere 3 pearls to butterfly body. Attach completed butterfly to doily center using a Stampin' Dimensional--leaving the wings unattached.
