Whether you like to or not, this is AWESOME! If you like to color, great--you'll love this. If you don't like to color, great--you'll love this...check it out

No, it's not a new stamp set, although I'd buy it if it were available...this gorgeous flower is from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper...here's the sheet from that set that I used: Petal passion dsp

All you need to do is attach it to your cardstock and you have a quite memorable card--colored or in black and white! I simply used my handy dandy paper snips to trim out this flower and for the colored version I used the new Stampin'Blends.  I do love to color so this was a trip to paradise for me--a huge area to just go wild and color to my hearts content!

Here are the directions:

1. Cut Thick Whisper White cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Basic Black cardstock 4 X 5 1/4; adhere to card base front with liquid glue.

3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 7/8 X 5 1/8; Stamp "Just a Note"  (Flourishing Phrases stamp set) in Archival Black in in lower right corner).

4. Dry emboss this piece with the Quilt  Top embossing folder and adhere to black cardstock with liquid glue.

5. Cut out the flower image from the designer paper with Paper Snips...if you are NOT coloring, adhere this to the card front with liquid glue and add a large rhinestone to the flower center. If you are coloring, place the flower on a scrap paper and color with the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Stampin'Blends; adhere to card front with liquid glue.  Color the red flower with Wink of Stella.

Your card is completed!

Cards Created with Cards

Today we're going to look at Cards Created with Cards...sound interesting...it's fun and quick and easy!

Can you believe I only used one stamp on this card---it's 'celelbrate' from Thoughtful Banners. So you say, but there's a beautiful flower as our focal point. Yes, there is and it comes pre-printed on the Petal Passion Memories and More Cards. This set of preprinted cards can be used for your memory keeping albums...but the cards can also be used to create some beautiful cards with little effort and very few supplies (look at the supply list below)!  

I'll give you the directions for creating this card--keep the dimensions because they will work with all the small cards in that set--just switch out the colored cardstock and you'l be able to create a multitude of awesome cards quickly, easily and inexpensively!

Here are the directions for creating this lovely card:

1. Cut Melan Mambo cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2. Card base.

2. Cut Basic Black cardstock 3 1/2 X 4 1/2; adhere with liquid glue to center of card base.

3. Cut Silver Glimmer Paper 3 X 4 and adhere to the back of the Petal Passion Memories & More card with glue dots; adhere this unit to the center of the black cardstock on the card base.

4. Stamp "celebrate" (Thoughtful Banners stamp set) in Archival Basic Black ink on the white card (lower right corner).

Your card is ready for sending!

How to Simply Add Tons of Shine!

Today I'm going to show you How to Simply Add Tons of Shine! It's so simple you'll wonder why you didn't try it before.

 See all those beautiful shiny Gold Glitter Flakes? Those are a new item in the Occasions Mini catalog---it is so easy to apply them to a project---I used the  Tear and Tape adhesive. There's no messy glue or waiting for the adhesive to dry...it's quick and simple. I actually used 2 rows of tape to make it double wide...it's easy to use when you want a diagonal line of shine too. The options are endless.

Let's make the card

1. Cut 4 1/4 X 11 Bermuda Bay cardstock, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut 4 X 5 1/4 Whisper White cardstock; adhere to front of the card base with liquid glue.

3. Cut 3 7/8 X 5 1/8 Pool Party cardstock; stamp Happy Birthday (Stylized Birthday stamp) in Archival Basic Black ink at the top (see card sample)

4. Cut 3 7/8 X 2 Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper (I used the confetti design) and adhere at the bottom of the Pool Party cardstock layer with liquid glue.

5. Attach 2 pieces of Tear & Tape on the Pool Party layer right above the designer paper. Rub a dryer sheet over the card layer (can help reduce static cling) and then remove the tape paper topping. Sprinkle the Gold Glitter Flakes over the tape pressing down with your fingers to assure they adhere well. Dump  off the excess and place back in the bottle. Note: I use a catch card under the cardstock when sprinkling glitter to catch the excess and easily dump back in the original container.

6. Attach 3 adhesive-backed sequins to accent the Happy Birthday.

7. Adhere the Pool Party layer to the card front with liquid glue.

Your card is ready for sending!

Here's how to create that cute card with all those FREE supplies:

1. Cut the Designer Series Paper (I used the Bermuda stripe) 3 1/4 X 4 1/2; cut a coordinating designer paper (I used the Lemon Lime Twist bubbles) 4 1/4 X 1 1/8; cut Whisper White cardstock 2 X 4 1/4.

2. Stamp "Happy Birthday to You" (Super Duper stamp set) in Archival Basic Black ink on the Whisper White cardstock. Adhere to the Bermuda striped DSP with liquid glue; adhere the Lemon Lime DSP under the white cardstock.

3. Cut a 16" piece of the Bermuda shimmer ribbon and tie around this piece; adhere this to the Lemon Lime card base (Tutti Fruitti cards and envelopes). Your matching envelope is already coordinated for you!

Now your card can be done....but if you enjoy a bit more embellishment...

4. Adhere 3 of the Adhesive-backed Tutti Fruitte sequins (I used Pool Party) near the greeting; adhere small rhinestones to the centers.

Your card is complete!

Cute Birthday Card all Tied Up with a Bow

Now we're really getting into the new Stampin'Up! Occasions Mini  with this Cute Birthday Card All Tied Up with a bow..and, you say, how does she get it into the envelope?  Well, that's easy--it's a very flat bow that is cut from that terrific new Designer Series  Paper called  Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper....it's a 6 X 6 pack and many of the sheets have photographed images that can simply be snipped out with your trusty Paper Snips and you are set to go with a great embellishment! Birthday Wishes for You

You'll also want to check out the rest of the designer paper for party hats, donuts, noise makers, and on and on!  You'll be able to get very creative with just a bit of snipping.

Here we go:

1. Cut 8 1/2 X 5 1/5 Berry Burst cardstock; score the long side at 4/1 4 (card base)

2. Cut 4 X 5 1/4 Whisper White cardstock; stamp Happy Birthday (Birthday Wishes for You stamp set) in Archival Black ink in the lower part; stamp "with many wishes just for you" in Berry Burst ink below that. If you enjoy coloring you can use the Berry Burst Stampin'Write marker to color in the birthday.  Use multipurpose liquid glue to adhere this to the card base.

3. Cut 1 1/2 X 5 1/4 Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper (I used the confetti design); adhere with liquid glue over the upper White cardstock.

4. Cut 3/8 X 5 1/4 Bermuda Bay cardstock and adhere over the bottom of the designer paper with liquid glue.

5. Snip out the Bermuda Bay bow from the designer paper with your paper snips; adhere with liquid glue to the card front. Dsp

One More Quick One Before the Occasions Mini

I'm so excited but I want to give you One More Quick One before the New Occasions Mini! 

1-8-18 Whole Lot of Lovely

We talked last time about the importance of letting people know that we are grateful--so this one is fast and easy... and you can apply the measurements to any of your Designer Series Papers...so keep these measurements--they are very fast and easy.

Following the directions is the Supply List--all these supplies are in the Annual Catalog since the Holiday mini is gone today at midnight! Order what you need from my Store (Hit the Shop Now button or click on one of the product images below--you'll be in my store. Here we go:

1. Cut 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 Pool Party cardstock, score the long side at 4 1/4 (card base)

2. Cut Tranquil Tide 4 1/2 X 3 1/4; adhere to card front with multipurpose liquid glue.

3. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 1/8 X 4 3/8; adhere to Tranquil Tide with liquid glue

4. Cut Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper (I used floral pattern) 3 X 4 1/4--adhere to Whisper White layer with glue.

5. Adhere 2 small Faceted Gold Gems to 2 of the flower centers.

6. Stamp "A Little Thanks" on Crushed Curry cardstock with Archival Basic Black ink; punch out with the Classic Label Punch. Adhere to card front with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

You are finished--I told you it was quick and easy.
