Today I'm going to show you a new technique with a stylish look - Design Your Own Background Stamp - Collage Stamping!  Here's our card for today  9-26-17 Thank you

Notice the great looking stamped background---this is done with a single ink and a single stamp.  You can actually use any stamp (e.g. birthday, get well, thinking of you, etc) and any color (ink and cardstock). It really goes quickly, no experience needed for this one!

And the best part is that you don't need the Big Shot or your Heat Tool--it's truly simple and quick.

I used the Labels to Love stamp set with the Everyday Label punch--but I want to point out that the punch is part of a bundle with the Merry Little Labels stamp set---so there are two stamp sets designed to coordinate with this punch. Don't you love it when a punch has multiple uses?

I'm going to give you the very brief directions for this card followed by the supply list. Order what you need by hitting the Shop Now button at the right of the page and remember to use this month's host code 4QHU9AGE and for each $50 in product that you purchase online (and use this code) you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up! product fro the Holiday mini catalog.

Here we go:

1. Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score on the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4 X 5; adhere to front of cardbase with multipurpose liquid glue.

3. Cut Lemon Lime Twist cardstock 3 5/8 X 4 7/8; using Lemon Lime Twist Classic ink, stamp the bold "thank you so much" (Thankful Thoughts stamp set) in various directions--vertical, horizontal, upside down, etc. 9-26-17 partial

4. Cut an 18" piece of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre ribbon; wrap around the stamped cardstock and tie a bow. You can anchor the bow with a glue dot to stablize it. Adhere this layer to the white cardstock with liquid glue.

5. Stamp the label outline (Labels to Love stamp set) in Lemon Lime Twist ink on Whisper White cardstock. Stamp "Thank You" (Thankful Thoughts stamp set) in Archival Basic Black ink in the center of the outline. Punch with the Everyday Label punch and adhere to card front under bow with dimensionals.

6. Add 3 gold Metallic Enamel shapes around the verse.

Your card is completed! Think of someone you need to thank and jot them a quick note--mail it today! This will really brighten someone's  day!

Quick & Easy Halloween Surprise Pizza Box

Here's a really cutie...a Quick & Easy Halloween Surprise Pizza Box! Comoplete

Isn't this super? And, it's super EASY because we're using Designer Series Paper instead of stamping for this great box top! The Spooky Night has tons of great designs and we're using two of these in this treat box.

Now for the surprise... Open

So fun when the box is opened, the cute tag flips up for an added "treat."

And, the box itself (Mini Pizza Box) comes in white--so we can quickly make it any color we want by using our sponges and ink (or we could spritz it with the spritzer and alcohol + reinker of choice). That makes these cute boxes a wonderful staple to have on hand--we can easily decorate them for any occasion.

I'm going to give you the step by step to create this one. You can order your supplies by clicking on Shop Now at the right of this page and you'll be in my store. Use this month's Host code (4QHU9AGE) when you check out and you'll receive $5 in Stampin'Up! product for each $50 you purchase in SU product. (Hint: this month the free product will be from the Holiday mini catalog).

Here are the directions.

1. Leave the mini Pizza Box flat and sponge with Pumpkin Pie classic ink  (Item #26945).  Trim off 1/4 from the box flap. Fold the box together on the score lines--no adhesive is required. Dsp hat

2. Cut a piece of Window Sheet 2 X 1"; using glue dots, adhere 1" side to the inside very bottom of box front center. Stamp Happy Halloween (Spooky Cat stamp set) in Archival Black ink on a 1/2 X 2 3/4" piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock. Adhere the tag to the top front of the window sheet with glue dots. (fill box with shred and candy treats).

3. Cut one of the tags from the tag sheet of the Spooky Night DSP--this sheet has been designed to cut exactly 12 tags by cutting at the 3" mark in both directions. Adhere one tag to a 3 1/8 X 3 1/8 piece of Basic Black cardstock. Adhere this unit to a piece of 3 3/8 X 3 3/8 Crushed Curry cardstock. Glue this unit to the pizza box top with multipurpose liquid glue. Tag sheet

4. Cut one of the witch's hats with your paper snips from the designer paper and liquid glue to the tree branch. Adhere a couple of stars (metallic enamel shapes) to the sky and one small round shape to the hat band.

Altered Stampin'Up! Designer Series Paper - Take Two

Today we're going to do another project with Altered Stampin'Up! Designer Series Paper --Take Two. If you missed the first Altered DSP project you can check it out here.. http://www.sandilovesstamping.com/2017/09/altering-designer-series-paper.html

Here's today's project: Mini treat bag

Check out the red striped paper from Be Merry pack...notice the white stripes have been altered by stamping A Christmas Wish for You (Best Gifts stamp set) in Garden Green Classic ink which coordinates really well with the Cherry Cobbler stripe in the paper.

It was a cute little bag but when we add the stamping it really takes the packaging up another notch to awesome!

I use some of the new tinsel trim and mini ornaments--that adds 2 wow factors. Then I added that cute tag using the new stamp set (Merry Little Labels) and the matching punch (Everyday Label punch). Note: these two items are a bundle so you can get 10% off by ordering the bundle!

Now I know some of you are thinking...."it's too early to think about Christmas packaging"....ok, for you---just jot a note somewhere and you can come back to this blog post when you are ready. For the rest of you...let's get going so we can enjoy the holidays instead of trying to get it all done at the last minute!

You can place your order for the supplies by hitting the Shop Now button a the right side of the page and you'll be in my store. Be sure to add this month's Hostess code (4QHU9AGE) and for each $50 in product that you purchase I'll give you $5 in Stampin'Up! product from the new Holiday Mini catalog.

Here are the directions:

1. Cut the 2 Mini Treat Bag pieces using the Mini Treat Bag thinlet (Big Shot sandwich: Magnetic platform, standard cutting pad, designer series paper, bag die, standard cutting pad).

2. Lay pieces flat and stamp "A Christmas Wish for You" in Garden Green on the white stripes.

3. Adhere the sides and bottom of bag with Tear and Tape

4. Tie a bow in approximately 9" red tinsel trim; tie a mini ornament around the bow with white baker's twine.

5. Stamp "Just For You" in Garden Green ink on Whisper White cardstock, and punch out with Everyday Label punch. Punch a 1/8" hole in top of tag (Item #134365) and tie to bow with white baker's twine.

6. Adhere the bow to the top of the bag with glue dots; secure the tag to the bag using dimensionals. Adhere a silver metallic enamel dot to the bottom of the tag.

Here's the supply list--remember to use the Hostess code to receive your free Stampin'UP! product from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Altering Designer Series Paper

Today I'm going to show you how to coordinate your card design by Altering Stampin'Up! Designer Series Paper. Do you ever get stuck on a card design and want to really jazz up the background without over powering the focal point---only to find you don't have anything that really goes with your design---either the color is off or the design doesn't blend well?

Here's a great tool to keep in your design belt! I wanted to use this super new stamp that has a matching punch as my focal point...it's a relative small design so I wanted my background to really add some pizzazz but also to coordinate with the stamp design...so here's the card... 9-12-17 Altered DSP

Do you see what I did with the Designer Series Paper? Yep,  used the sponge brayer and the ink matching the cardstock card base. The nice thing with the sponge brayer is that you can lighten or darken the background to your taste. In this case I use Marina Mist as the card base and then colored the Designer Paper withe the Marina Mist ink--it looks fantastic--plus with the sponge brayer your background can exhibit lighter and darker areas that really make it awesome!

I'm going to give you the directions and then the supply list. You can shop in my store (Shop Now button at the right) and if you use the current month Hostess code (4QU9AGE) you can earn $5 of Stampin'Up! product for each $50 you purchase in Stampin'Up! product from me!

Here are the directions:

1. Cut 4 1/4 X 11 Marina Mist cardstock, score on the long side at 5 1/2" (cardbase)

2. Cut 3 3/4 X 5" Night of Navy cardstock.

3. Cut 3 5/8 X 4 7/8 snowflake designer paper (Merry Little Christmas DSP); sponge brayer lightly with Marina Mist Classic ink. Note: you will get lighter and darker areas depending on the amount of ink you absorb onto the sponge. Adhere to the Navy cardstock with multipurpose liquid glue.

4. Cut 5" piece of Navy gingham ribbon, adhere both ends to the back of the navy/designer paper unit using liquid glue. Adhere this unit to the card front with liquid glue.

5. Stamp tree/deer image (Merry Little Labels stamp set) in Night of Navy Classic Ink on Whisper White cardstock; punch out with Everyday Label punch. Adhere over center of ribbon using dimensionals.

6. Adhere one rhinestone to one large stare in the stamped image and 3 more in snowflake centers on the designer paper.

Your card is completed! Now you have one Christmas card ready for sending...keep up the good work!

Here's the supply list
