Teeny Tiny Butterflies
March 21, 2017
Spring is here---they tell me--and with it will come butterflies, so today I created a really beautiful tag with Teeny Tiny Butterflies! Do you recognize the butterflies die?
If you tuned in last week you may remember the Timeless Tags thinlits dies--well, look at this set again and you'll see the border thinlet of teeny tiny butterflies. It's great for today's tag but as I was working with it I'm thinking--wouldn't these little butterflies look great in a shaker card? Can't you just see them fluttering around in one of those?
Ok, back to the thinlets--I think between last week and this week's samples, you can already see the great versatility and usefulness of this set of dies.
I'll give you the step by step directions following by the supply list. Remember
*Sale-a-bration (free item from one of these minis Download SAB_2017_US or Download SAB_2017_2nd Release_US) for each $50 in product that you purchase. This super bennie ends March 31st! (note: Card tin and Glimmer paper are no longer available--the remainder of the items area only available as long as supplies last)
*When you place an online order, be sure to use the current month Hostess Code (this month until 3/29 the code is AWSR23GU) and your name will be entered in a drawing for a $50 in Stampin'Up! product.
Here are the directions for the tag:
1. From a piece of Basic Black cardstock use the plain oval die and the Precision Base plate to cut the base tag with the Big Shot. (sandwich = Magnetic Platform, Precision Base plate, cardstock, die, standard cutting pad)
2. Repeat step #1 and substitute Blushing Bride cardstock.
3. Use the butterfly border thinlet and cut the butterfly arch from the righthand side of the blush tag.
4. Adhere the blush tag to the black base tag using multipurpose liquid glue (note: be sure to avoid applying glue too close to the butterflies--so it does not ooze though.
5. Rub the Embossing Buddy over the tag front. Stamp "thinking of you"(That's the Tag stamp set) in Versamark, sprinkle with Copper embossing powder and heat with heat tool until bright and shiny.
6. Using the butterfly arch die, cut butterflies from Blushing Bride Glimmer paper. Adhere butterflies individually to the tag front with glue dots. (Adhere them when they fit well on your tag.
7. Cut an 18" piece of 1/8" silver ribbon and loop through the tag hole.
Your tag is completed!
