DIY 5 Minute Card with No Coloring Inside the Lines!

Here's a great DIY 5 Minute Card with No Coloring Inside the Lines!  Confused?

The Inside the Lines is a wonderful Designer Series Paper that is absolutely FREE when you purchase $50 in product from Stampin'Up! (this is Sale-a-bration and is on until 3/31/17).  FREE is only one part of what is so wonderful about this paper.

The other wonderful thing is that if you LIKE to color---it's all about coloring. BUT, if you don't like to color, this designer paper is also wonderful...look at this card:

1-31-17 Inside the lines - center

In this card I used the very center of one of the pages, but if you don't want to go to the trouble of cutting out the center---just start at any corner and cut out a random piece of the designer paper...here's what you get when you do that:

4. Adhere this to a 3 1/4" square of Basic Black cardstock using multipurpose liquid glue.

5. Adhere this unit to a 3 3/8" square of Silver Glimmer paper using glue dots. Adhere this unit to the upper part of the card base using dimensionals. Adhere a silver Metallic Enamel Shape to the center of the center flower, or multiple flowers if you used a random square of the DSP.

6. Stamp "wishing you a beautiful day" (Special Reason stamp set) in Archival Black ink  on a piece of white cardstock; punch out with the Classic Label punch. Using dimensionals adhere this to the lower front of the card base under the DSP square (see picture).

Another Fun Paper Piecing Project for Color without "coloring!"

Tuesday we learned a great technique for color--here's another fun Paper Piecing Project for Color without "Coloring!"

This time it's a beautiful tag:

1-27-17 Remarable You Tag
Paper piecing aka color without "coloring"

When we are in a hurry we can often get by using a Bag Tag instead of a full blown card, right? This tag is really awesome --you can easily convert it to a full card if you want to.

For the tag we are using the new Stampin'Up! Sending Love Designer Series Paper stack...the really great feature of this stack is that it is all in red and white..each page is double sided---one side is Valentine's theme and the other side is NOT! So this stack can be used all year long....even for Christmas since red, white and green are traditional Christmas colors... versatility at its best!

Great News! In this tag we're using the Stampin'Up! Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (!45372)--they are back in stock--you can order them now!

I'll give you the step by step directions and the supply list to order your supplies to create this project. Use the Shop Now button at the top of the page to order now.

Remember, if you place an online order and use this month's hostess code (ATDBYAPN), your name will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Stampin'Up! Gift Certificate for each $50 you purchase in product.

AND, Sale-a-bration is in effect, so for each $50 you purchase in product, you may select a FREE item from the Stampin'Up Sale-a-bration mini catalog!

Here are the directions:

1. Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 3 1/2 X 3 1/2; cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 3 3/8 X 3 3/8; cut a piece of Basic black cardstock 3 1/8 X 3 1/8.

2. Punch a 1/8 " hole in the top of the 3 1/2 square using the handheld punch (Item #134365). Loop a 12" piece of Cherry Cobbler twine through this hole.

3. Now layer all 3 squares cut in step 1 above using multipurpose liquid glue.

4. Stamp the flower (Remarkable You stamp set) in Archival Black in on Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out this image using the largest circle framelit in the Stitched Shapes Framelits. Adhere this to the center of the tag using liquid glue.

5. Stamp the same flower in Archival Black on the red polkadot paper (Sending Love Designer Series Paper stack) and cut out just the flower using your Paper  Snips. Adhere this over the flower stamped on the tag with liquid glue.

6. Stamp For You ( Gift of Love host stamp set)* in Archival Black ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Punch out using the Duet Banner punch. Adhere to the bottom of the tag using dimensionals.

Your tag is completed! Isn't it "Remarkable?"

Coloring without "coloring" (aka paper piecing)

Do you like color but don't like actually "coloring" your images....then Coloring without "coloring" (aka paper piecing) might be your answer! I have a friend who does not want to make a card with any type of coloring--so I think this might help her get color without actually 'coloring.'

Here's a card using paper piecing:

1-24-17 Beautiful You
Paper Piecing or coloring without coloring

The dress has a pattern (Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper) which you normally don't get with routine coloring techniques. The hat is a solid just using cardstock.

The new Stampin'Up! Beautiful You stamp set is a perfect outline type stamp to use for paper piecing... a nice outline with white space that can be colored or paper-pieced.

I'm going to give you the step by step directions for this card and then the supply list so you can order what you need for this project.

Remember, if you place an online order, for each $50 in product that you purchase, your name will be entered in a drawing for a $50 Stampin'Up! gift certificate if you use the hostess code for this month (ATDBYAPN)

AND, for each $50 you purchase in product you may select a FREE product from the Sale-a-bration mini catalog

Here are the directions:

1. Cut a piece of Melan Mambo cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base). Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 4 X 5 1/4--adhere this to the card base using multipurpose liquid glue.

2. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3 7/8 X 5 1/8. Cut a piece of Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper (black background with pink and white hearts) 3 7/8 X 5 1/8--adhere this to the bottom of the white cardstock with liquid glue.

3. Stamp the lady with the hat (Beautiful You stamp set) in Archival Black ink (see card for placement). Stamp this same figure in Archival Black ink on the Melan mambo with white dots Designer Series Paper. Using your Paper Snips, cut out only the dress. Adhere this with liquid glue over the figure stamped on the card front.

4. Stamp the head on a piece of Melan Mambo cardstock and cut out only the hat. Adhere this with liquid glue to the hat stamped on the card front.

5. Using the swish stamp (Beautiful You stamp set) and Melan Mambo classic ink, stamp under the hand of the figure on the card front as if she were leaning on the swish. Stamp "Happy birthday gorgeous" (Beautiful You stamp set) in Archival Black ink (see picture for placement.) Adhere 3 small rhinestones above and below the verse.

6. Cut a 16" piece of thick Melan Mambo twine-wrap around the white cardstock at the seam of the designer paper--tie in a bow. Adhere the white piece to the cardbase with liquid adhesive.

Your card is completed--isn't it awesome!

Another DIY 10 minute card

Yes, this DIY will probably take you 5 minutes longer than Tuesdays--that's why I called it Another DIY 10 minute card!

This is another quick card created with the Project Life by Stampin'up! cards. These are those cards we use to create quick photo memory albums by slipping the cards and pictures into the pocketed pages. The nice thing about these cards is that you can select the card that matches the person or event that you are creating the card for.

Here's today's card.

1-20-17 Project Life DIY 10 minute card #2
DIY Project Life DIY 10 minute card

All of you who hate making bows (like the card on Tuesday) will love this one because there are no knots, no bows....just some of the cute pompom trim and all you do is glue it on--it just screams festive!

Also, today, we're using the Duo Celebration folder which DEBOSSES--this means the imprint goes into the paper instead of on top of the paper. And we use a stamp in the new Happy Celebrations stamp set to highlight the debossed image of "celebrate." See the white celebrate and over it is stamped the Flirty Flamingo background stamp--the debossed image stays white and it is highlighted in wonderful color!

The fun part of using the Project Life cards and being able to use select colors--this card can be great for guys or gals, righe? Just selcet the Garden Green ink and--pow! A great guy card!

I'm going to give you step by step directions followed by the supply list so you can order what you need by hitting the Shop Now button at the top of this page.

Don't forget
1. Use the host code ATDBYAPN for your online order this month and for each purchase of $50 (product) your name will be entered in a drawing for $50 Stampin'Up! gift certificate.
2. Sale-a-bration is on! For each $50 in product that you purchase...you select a free item from the Sale-a-bration mini  catalog--stamps, designer paper, card tin, card kit and more!

Here's how to create this cute card:

1. Cut a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score at 5 1/2 on the long side (this is your cardbase)

2. Cut one of the Project Life cards at 3" on the 6" side which gives you a 3 X 4 card. Adhere this to the card front using multipurpose liquid glue leaving 1/8" border on both sides and the bottom.

3. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 2 1/4 X 4; using the Celebrate folder (Duo Celebration set of folders) deboss the white cardstock by running through the Big Shot...be sure you can read the word when you place the cardstock in the folder--then you are sure it will read correctly after you deboss it with the Big Shot. (the sandwich is: Big Shot platform, cutting pad, folder with cardstock enclosed, 2nd cutting pad on top)

4. Using the background stamp (Happy Celebrations stamp set), stamp gently but firmly with Flirty Flamingo ink over the debossed word. Adhere this to the top of the card front with liquid glue leaving 1/8" border on both sides and the top.

5. Adhere 3 gold star Metallic enamel dots around the Celebrate

6. Cut a 4" piece of white pompom trim and adhere this with liquid glue where the card and the White cardstock meet.

Your card is completed! Let me see your creations with these Project Life cards.

4. Using an 18" piece of Mint Macaroon 3/8" ribbon around the card front where the Daffodil cardstock and the PL card meet---tie a bow.

DIY Beautiful You Stampin'Up! Quick and Easy Card

Need a fast card while you're recovering from the holidays...then this DIY Beautiful You Stampin'Up! Quick and Easy Card will fit the bill!

I don't know about you but I've had a whirlwind couple of months and all of a sudden I have birthdays popping up and zowie--no great cards. I have to tell you that the Stampin'Up! Beautiful You stamp set is one of my favorites in the new Occasions Mini catalog. Not only does it have 3 awesome figures in it but it also contains 8 greetings which makes it a great all in one set.

It's a fun set to use if you like to color and it's a great set to use if you don't like to color--noooo, that's not a contradiction and yes, I did mean that. Notice that there are 2 brushstroke images that you can use to color the images--that makes it fast and quick--just pull out an ink pad and 2 seconds later--you have color!

Now you would have giggled if you had seen me the first time I used one of the brushstroke stamps-I just couldn't get a uniform image when I stamped it--I stamped it several times, I reinked it until it was sopping wet, I cleaned it and re-inked it and still...it wasn't a uniform image. Then, miracle of miracles I happened to look at the picture on the image in the stamp set itself and, yes, you guessed it, it is NOT supposed to be a uniform layer of ink--it is a varied image---duh. Well, I never claimed to be bright and we just confirmed that.

OK, now the card...here it is....

1-9-17 Beautiful You
Beautiful You

This can truly be accomplished in 10 minutes or less depending on how quickly you can locate your ink pads. I'm going to give you the step by step directions and then the supply list so you can order what you need to re-create this lovely card,

Don't forget, there are two ways to earn extra rewards...first, Sale-a-bration is going on...so when you purchase $50 in product you can select something from the Stampin'Up! Sale-a-bration mini catalog (no shipping, no tax, completely free).

Second, if you place an order for $50 or more in my online store (hit the Shop Now button at the top of this page) and use this months'Hostess code (ATDBYAPN) your name will be entered into a drawing for each $50 you purchase. At the end of the month--someone will win a $50 Stampin'Up Gift certificate.

So here we go:

 1. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score the long side at 4 1/4 (this is your cardbase)

2. Cut a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock 4 1/8 X 5 3/8 and using the new Hexagon dynamic embossing folder--emboss this piece. Now let me remind you of a couple of things--this is the thicker folder--so only use one cutting pad (on top). Be sure to put the fold end through first.

Also, this is one of those designs that is pretty on either side--so you select the one you like a adhere this to the front of the base using the multipurpose liquid glue.

3. Cut a piece of Pool Party 4 1/8 X 2 7/8; adhere this to the center of the card front.

4. Cut a piece of Shimmery white cardstock 4 X 2 3/4. Stamp the "dancing"  image (Beautiful You stamp set)  on this piece in Archival Basic Black.

5. Select the brushstroke image and stamp over the dress in Cucumber crush.

6. Stamp Celebrate (Beautiful You stamp set) in Bermuda Bay classic ink.
