DIY Quickest Christmas Card Ever!!
December 13, 2016
If your free time is like mine it's running out...so I decided to share with you the DIY Quickest Christmas Card ever! It's really a pretty little card and no one will guess that you didn't spend a lot of time creating it! Here it is....
It features that lovely pack of This Christmas Designer Series Paper--this paper is slightly thinner than the usual designer paper and so it has 24 sheets per pack (instead of the usual 12). This means you can create double the number of cards from a single design.
Additionally the greeting is showcased on the metallic doily which is so simple to do and yields such a beautiful result. The greeting is topped off with the metallic enamel star that coordinates well with the doily.
So what do you think? Pretty, right? It is amazingly simple to make...I'm going to give you the step by step directions and then the short list of supplies you'll need.
1. Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (cardbase).
2. Cut a piece of This Christmas Designer Series Paper 3 1/4 X 4 and adhere to the top of the cardbase front leaving 1/8" border at the top and sides using multipurpose liquid glue.
3. Cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock 2 X 4; run through the Holly folder (dry emboss) and adhere below the designer paper using multipurpose liquid glue.
4. Stamp "A Jolly Christmas to All" (Father Christmas stamp set) in Archival black ink on a piece of Shimmery white cardstock. Punch out with 1 1/4" circle punch and adhere to the center of the small gold metallic doily with dimensionals. Adhere this unit to the center of the Garden Green cardstock on card front using liquid glue.
5. Adhere the gold star (Metallic enamel dots) to the top of the Shimmery White circle.
Your card is completed--in only 5 steps!!! You can use all the designs in the This Christmas paper pack...they will all make beautiful cards.
