Here are the simple step by step directions for this cute hat and then the list of supplies.

1. Cut a circle with the Layering Circles die that is nearly 3" in diameter.

2. Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 6 X 2 3/4, score the long side at 3/8".  All along this 3/8" section, cut small V's with your paper snips...this will help in curving it to create the cylinder...place some Tear & Tape along one of the short sides and curve this piece into a cylinder that is approximately 1 3/4 in diameter.  Turn the 3/8" section to the inside and using multipurpose liquid glue (#110755) on the 3/8" section adhere the cylinder to the 3"circle. You may need to hold this for about a minute for the glue to set.

3. Cut a piece of Warmth & Cheer Designer paper 1 X 6; adhere a piece of Tear & Tape to one end, wrap the piece around the cylinder nearest to the 3"circle--this is the hat band.

4. Stamp 2 large holly leaves in Archival Black ink on Wild Wasabe cardstock, punch out with the Holly Berry punch. Glue dot them together at one end (they will form a V). Using the same punch, punch the triple holly berry from Red Glimmer paper and adhere to the bottom of the V with a glue dot. Glue dot this unit to the bottom of the hatband.

Now I put in some chocolate and some paper shred to spruce it up to party style and your top hat is completed!

Email me a picture of your hat! I'd love to see it.
