DIY Quick Easy Gift Tag

I know time  is running short and that's why I'm going to show you how to make the DIY Quick Easy Gift Tag---it only takes a couple of minutes--if you need several, doing it assembly line will make it go even faster!  Here it is...it's great for guys, gals, kids, teachers, the office--it's great for everyone!

Fastest gift tag
DIY Quick Easy Gift Tag

It's getting pretty late to make cards so if you haven't quite found the time to do those, the next best thing is a hand-crafted gift tag.

This little cutie relies on Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape---see it down at the bottom...now there is just no quicker way to add tons of pizzaz to your tag or card than to grab a couple of designs that coordinate (and Stampin'Up! does that with all their washi tape--they come packed to coordinate with each other).

The top of the tag is a fabulous design that looks like it takes some real talent and skill---NOT! It's the Scalloped Tag Topper punch---does all that glorious design in one punch...just cut the cardstock to 2" and as long as you need for your design--then punch the top and it looks like a million bucks!

OK, I'm going to give you the step by step directions and then the supply list.

1.Cut a piece of thick Whisper White cardstock 2 X 4"--I use the thick cardstock because it gives the tag a bit more sturdiness. Then punch one end with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

2. Stamp Merry (Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set) in Real Red classic ink at the top of the tag.

3. Thread a 12"piece of cherry twine through the top hole.

4. Select a couple of designs from the Candy Cane Lane Washi Tape and apply to the bottom of the tag.

5. Stamp the reindeer (Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set) in Archival Black ink on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock; punch out with the Cookie Cutter punch.  Adhere to the tag with a couple of dimensionals.

6. Punch a 1/2" circle of red glimmer paper and cover the reindeer  nose using another dimensionals

Your tag is completed! I told you that it would only take a couple of minutes, right? Now make a bunch so you can get that wrapping under way!

DIY Quickest Christmas Card Ever!!

If your free time is like mine it's running out...so I decided to share with you the DIY Quickest Christmas Card ever!  It's really a pretty little card and no one will guess that you didn't spend a lot of time creating it! Here it is....

12-13-16 Quickest Christmas Card
Quickest Christmas Card

It features that lovely pack of This Christmas Designer Series Paper--this paper is slightly thinner than the usual designer paper and so it has 24 sheets per pack (instead of the usual 12). This means you can create double the number of cards from a single design.

Additionally the greeting is showcased on the metallic doily which is so simple to do and yields such a beautiful result.  The greeting is topped off with the metallic enamel star that coordinates well with the doily.

So what do you think?  Pretty, right? It is amazingly simple to make...I'm going to give you the step by step directions and then the short list of supplies you'll need.

1. Cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (cardbase).

2. Cut a piece of This Christmas Designer Series Paper 3 1/4 X 4 and adhere to the top of the cardbase front leaving 1/8" border at the top and sides using multipurpose liquid glue.

3. Cut a piece of Garden Green cardstock 2 X 4; run through the Holly folder (dry emboss) and adhere below the designer paper using multipurpose liquid glue.

4. Stamp "A Jolly Christmas to All" (Father Christmas stamp set) in Archival black ink on a piece of Shimmery white cardstock. Punch out with 1 1/4" circle punch and adhere to the center of the small gold metallic doily with dimensionals. Adhere this unit to the center of the Garden Green cardstock on card front using liquid glue.

5. Adhere the gold star (Metallic enamel dots) to the top of the Shimmery White circle.

Your card is completed--in only 5 steps!!! You can use all the designs in the This Christmas paper pack...they will all make beautiful cards.

DIY Christmas Top Hat Treat Decoration

Today I'm going to show you a DIY Christmas Top Hat Treat Decoration.  Put these together in minutes--they make great Christmas table place cards, fun gifts for the office (super for men), for teachers (male teachers will appreciate these), or anyone that you just want to remember....see what I mean:

Christmas Top Hat
Christmas Top Hat

You can also adapt this to St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, weddings, and the  list goes on.

One product used to create this is the Layering Circles-- an awesome set of circle framelits that alternate between plain circles and scalloped circles...working together they create really great layering effects on your projects. And right now the Layering Circles are on a big sale!!! You can purchase them now for $17.50...so get them now!!

And...the Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Stack is also on sale for 50% off! It's a wonderful set of 6 X 6 double-sided designer paper loaded with "warmth and cheer"for the holidays... the green plaid is great for St. Patrick's Day.

(Note: if you want to see the entire list of products that are on sale here's the Excel file  Download Retiring closeout excess Product list US. If you need a pdf file...just email me [email protected]

Here are the simple step by step directions for this cute hat and then the list of supplies.

1. Cut a circle with the Layering Circles die that is nearly 3" in diameter.

2. Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 6 X 2 3/4, score the long side at 3/8".  All along this 3/8" section, cut small V's with your paper snips...this will help in curving it to create the cylinder...place some Tear & Tape along one of the short sides and curve this piece into a cylinder that is approximately 1 3/4 in diameter.  Turn the 3/8" section to the inside and using multipurpose liquid glue (#110755) on the 3/8" section adhere the cylinder to the 3"circle. You may need to hold this for about a minute for the glue to set.

3. Cut a piece of Warmth & Cheer Designer paper 1 X 6; adhere a piece of Tear & Tape to one end, wrap the piece around the cylinder nearest to the 3"circle--this is the hat band.

4. Stamp 2 large holly leaves in Archival Black ink on Wild Wasabe cardstock, punch out with the Holly Berry punch. Glue dot them together at one end (they will form a V). Using the same punch, punch the triple holly berry from Red Glimmer paper and adhere to the bottom of the V with a glue dot. Glue dot this unit to the bottom of the hatband.

Now I put in some chocolate and some paper shred to spruce it up to party style and your top hat is completed!

Email me a picture of your hat! I'd love to see it.
