Falling Flowers 4th of July Card

Who would have thought that the new Stampin'Up! Falling Flowers stamp set would form the base for a 4th of July card? Well, here's my take on it--what do you think?

7-1-16 Falling Flowers 4th of July card

It's a relatively simple card but it just "bursts" with the holiday spirit. I'm going to give you step by step directions and they give you the supply list that you can use to order what you need to create the card.

1. Cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base).

2. Cut a piece of Marina Mist cardstock 3 3/4 X 5, adhere to card base front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755)

3. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 3 5/8 X 4 7/8--we're going to stamp on this.

4. Stamp the large flourish from Falling Flowers stamp set in Island Indigo ink --see the photo for placement. Stamp "celebrate" (Thoughtful Banners stamp set) in Real Red classic ink in the lower right corner.

5. Cut 3 of the smallest stars in the Stars framelits from Red Glimmer paper and 2 from Pacific Point cardstock. Adhere these to the flourish with dimensionals.

6. Cut 6 stars using the star framelit in the new Popcorn box framelit set; adhere these to the card using glue dots--see picture f0r placement. Now adhere this white cardstock to the card front with liquid glue.

Your card is completed! What do you think? Pretty simple and just Pretty, right?  If you create this card, leave me a comment and let me know who you are sending it to--or if you are just going to enjoy it yourself!
