  5-17-16 Frog Tic Tacs Front

5-17-16 Frog Tic Tacs inside

See those mint green tic tacs through his tummy! The possibilities of critter design are endless with the tons of stamps in the set and the framelits that cut them out! I'm going to give you step by step directions for this cutie and then I'll give you the supply list.

  1.  Cut a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock 4 3/4 X 3 and score the long side at 2 and 2 3/4--this is the tic tac folder.  Using the crosses background stamp (Sunburst Sayings stamp set), stamp the outside of the folder using Cucumber Crush classic ink. Adhere a pack of tic tacks to the inside back of the folder using Tear & Tape.
  2. Using the Pyramid Pals framelits, cut out 2 legs from Cucumber Crush cardstock & then stamp  legs in Archival black ink. Note: flip one of the cut out legs to the other side for the left leg.
  3. Stamp the body in Archival black ink on Cucumber Crush cardstock and (yes, you need to do this) hand cut the body out with paper snips--this will not kill you, I promise. It's an easy cut! Punch a 7/8" scallop circle from the belly.
  4. Glue (multipurpose liquid glue) the top and bottom of the body (leave sides unglued to slip in the legs later) onto the folder front and using the 7/8" scallop circle punch, punch a hole in the folder front matching the belly hole in the body--punch the folder hole through the body hole (alternate: pencil mark the area to punch by temporarily holding the body over the folder front, pencil mark the place to punch the hole, remove the body and  punch the hole in the front and then attach the body).
  5. Glue the legs slightly under the sides of the body using multipurpose liquid glue.
  6. Stamp two eyes on Whisper White cardstock in Archival Black ink, cut out with framelits. Attach to body top using dimensionals. Fill in the eyelid using the Cucumber Crush Stampin'Write marker.
  7. Cut an 18"piece of  Mint/black bakers twine and tie around the folder (note: slip the twine under the top of the body to help hold in place),
  8. Stamp 'sweet treats' (Teeny Tiny Wishes) in Archival Black ink on Cucumber Crush cardstock; punch out with Word Window punch (note: this punch is out of stock and retired, if you don't have it--use a piece of Cucumber Crush cardstock 3/8 X 1 3/4 and stamp the sentiment on this. Punch a star (Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack) from Dazzling Diamonds cardstock) and adhere to the sentiment at the far left using a glue dot.
