Easy Peasy & Retiring

Stampin'Up! has tons of gorgeous stamp sets that are retiring at the end of this month (5/31). They are available for sure until 5/22 and after that it's only as long as supplies last!

This week I'm going to show you cards created with some of my favorite retiring stamp sets...one of these is using Serene Silhouettes. I'll give you step by step directions followed by the supply list.

Here's the card for today...I just love the simplicity and that you can use this for almost any occasion--if you don't use a greeting, you can use this for birthdays, thank you, thinking of you, get well....very versatile.

5-9-16 Serene Silhouettes

Here are the easy step by step directions:

 1.  Cut thick white cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2; score the long side at 4 1/4. This is your card base.

2. Cut Whisper White cardstock 5 1/2 X 4; using the Boho Chic folder, run this piece through the Big Shot to dry emboss; adhere to the cardfront using multipurpose liquid glue (#110755).

3. Cut the following layers from Whisper White cardstock:

4 X 2 1/2 (Glue in the center of the layer in #2 above)

3 3/4 X 2 1/4 (Using dimensionals, adhere this to the above layer)

    3 1/2 X 2 1/8--we're going to stamp on this layer

4. With your Marina Mist marker and the Always Artichoke marker--color the Dandelion stamp (Serene Silhouettes stamp set). Be sure to use the side of the marker so you don't damage the tip. Stamp onto the 3 1/2 X 2 1/8 layer. Using the 2 Way Glue Pen, dab a bit of glue over the head of the dandelions; sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and top off the access. Adhere this piece to the card front using dimensionals.

5. Stamp the small outline butterfly (Pappillon Potpourri stamp set, #132058 wood mount, or #123759 Clear mount) using Marina Mist Classic ink pad onto scrap white cardstock. Punch out with the Bitty Butterfly punch and adhere to the cardfront (see pic) using a glue dot (#103683)

Your card is completed! Enjoy!  You can also use other colored markers to give the card a whole different look.
