DIY - Stampin'Up! Paper Clips

Yes, you can. You can make your own (DIY) paper clips--shiny silver or gold, sparkly, red, blue--whatever you need!  Here's a card  I created using the Stampin'Up! Paper Clips Thinlets:

  4-12-16 Paper Clips

Not only are these framelits good for card-making--they are fabulous for memory keeping albums--imagine journaling a quick note about the pics you've just added to a page--and attaching it to the page with a color coordinated paper clip! You can use the scrap paper you have from all your crafting projects--this is a truly terrific set for your collection!

I'm going to give you the directions for this card and following the directions I'll give you the supply list you'll need to create this awesome card!

  1. Cut a piece of Pacific Point cardstock 4 1/4 X 11, score the long side at 5 1/2 (this is the card base).
  2. Cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock 5 1/8 X 3 7/8 and adhere to the card front with multipurpose liquid adhesive.
  3. Cut a piece of Real Red cardstock 5 X 3 3/4, dry emboss with the Tiny Triangles embossing folder using the Big Shot; adhere to the white later using liquid glue.
  4. Cut 3 pieces of white cardstock 2 X 2; stamp the "writing lines" (Tap Tap Tap stamp set) in Real Red ink on these 3 pieces. Stamp your favorite 3 sentiments (Lovely Amazing You stamp set) in Archival Black ink.
  5. Cut your favorite 3 Paper Clips (Paper Clips thinlets) from Silver Foil paper using the Precision Base Plate on the Big Shot.
  6. Clip these onto the "notes" created above by slipping the center portion behind the note paper. Adhere these to the card front using dimensionals.
  7. Punch 3 tiny stars (Itty Bitty Accent stamps) from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and adhere (see picture) with glue dots.

You are done! Isn't this a fun card? You can substitute any sentiments for the note--you can switch out the colors and use the recipient's favorites! The possibilities are endless.

Stop back on Friday and see what else you can do with these framelits!
