DIY Floral Framelit Basket
April 05, 2016
Need a cute little favor for just about any occasion--need to be quick but awesome? Take a look at this little DIY beauty made with the Floral Framelits....it's completed in a matter of minutes:
I'm going to give you step by step directions with pictures to assist and following the directions is a list of supplies.
1. With your paper trimmer, score a piece of 6 X 6 Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack (use your favorite pattern) at 2"and 4"; turn the paper 90 degrees and score again at 2"and 4". (Note: in the pictures I'm using yellow paper so you can more readily see the scoring and folding)
2. Using the largest Floral Framelit and the Magnetic Platform, center the framelit on the 6 X 6 paper and run through the Big Shot.
3. Using your paper snips, follow the below diagram and cut on the score lines up to the next score line on two facing sides. Then from the point at the corner cut up to the scoreline creating a V; discard the cut out V. Fold lightly on all score lines.
4. One the side you want to be the outside of the basket, place 2 glue dots on all four corners as shown by the black X's in the diagram below.
5. Slide these corners to the basket inside and adhere to the inside of the basket--do this on all four sides.
6. Cut a piece of coordinating cardstock 1/2 X 6"and adhere to the inside of 2 opposite basket sides forming the handle.
7. Tie a bow using about an 8'piece of Island Indigo 1/4"cotton ribbon (or a color that coordinates with the design you selected). Attach with a glue dot to the top of the handle.
8. From coordinating scrap paper punch a Petite Flower, adhere a Rhinestone in the center and adhere to the basket front with a glue dot.
You are now ready to fill it with goodies! You can make many of these is a very short period of time! If you try this, leave me a comment and let me know what DSP you used.
