Need a quick birthday card? Here's the answer to your need! Quick, cute, simple, and....best of all gender neutral--not just gender neutral but age neutral....who wouldn't enjoy this card?

   2-5-16 DIY birthday card

I'm going to give you the directions and following that, the supply list so you can purchase what you need to make this card.

  1. Cut Crushed Curry cardstock 8 1/2 X 5 1/2; score the long side at 4 1/4--this is the card base.
  2. Cut white cardstock 3 1/2 X 2 3/8; stamp Happy Birthday (Party Wishes stamp set) in Mint Macaron Classic Ink. Punch a candle from the Mint paper in the It's My Party stack and glue over the I in Birthday.
  3. Cut It's My Party Designer Series Paper (select your favorite--I used the black background with multi-colored confetti) 3 7/8 X 4 1/4.
  4. Adhere the white stamped cardstock to the upper part of the designer paper. Wrap a 26"piece of mint macaron/black thick baker's twin around this unit and tie in a bow (wrap twice before tying the bow). Adhere this unit to the top of the card  base (see picture for placement)
  5. Stamp the cupcake (It's My Party stamp set) in Crushed Curry Classic Ink on a piece of scrap white carstock (3 times) and punch with the cupcake punch (Party Pack punches). Adhere these to the designer paper under the white cardstock using dimensionals
  6. Stamp the balloon string in Melon Mambo Classic Ink on the upper corner of the white cardstock...inking once--so the second string is lighter. Stamp 2 balloons on scrap white using Melan Mambo Classic Ink (#126048), punch with Party pack punch--adhere to the upper white over the balloon strings using dimensionals

You are finished! Wasn't that easy and cute! You can make endless variations of this card using all the patterns in the It's My Party designer series pack...select your cardstock to coordinate and use coordinating inks!
