DIY Quick & Easy Card #2

DIY Easy & Pretty Cards

One of the most popular requests is for cards that are easy but pretty. This weeks I'm going to show you 2 DIY cards (one today and one on Friday) that are very pretty and quite easy to make. You can also take these designs and use other designer series papers and other stamp sets....I'll give you the directions and the supply list...save these for creating a quick and pretty card when you need one!

Here's the first one:

1-29-16 Birthday Bouquet card - blog

Here are the directions:

  1. Cut the card base 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 thick Whisper White cardstock and score the long side at 4 1/4; using the large splatter stamp (Gorgeous Grunge) stamp randomly over card front with Pool Party Classic Ink.
  2. Cut Mossy Meadow cardstock 1 3/4 X 5 1/2 and adhere to left side of cardbase with multipurpose liquid glue (leave about 1/2"of the white cardstock showing on the left side)
  3. Cut a piece of flowered designer paper (Birthday bouquet designer series paper) 1 1/2 X 5 1/2. Cut a piece of gold foil paper 3/8 X 5 1/2; adhere to underside of the designer paper using Teare and Tape. Adhere this unit to the Mossy Meadow using liquid glue.
  4. Cut a piece of white vellum 1 1/2 X 4 1/4 and adhere to lower card front using glue dots (see picture)
  5. Using a piece of scrap Watermelon Wonder cardstock and the Hello (Hello You thinlets), cut out Hello with the Big Shot and adhere this to the Vellum using the Fine Tip Glue Pen.
  6. Adhere a large, medium, and small rhinestone randomly to the right of the designer strip---see picture for placement

You are done! Wasn't that easy? And it is easily adaptable to other designer papers and thinlets.
