4. Refer to the directions for Faux Tile technique from last week; then adhere this piece to the black cardstock with dimensionals. Adhere the entire unit to the upper  part of the card front.

5. Stamp Happy Birthday (...and Many More stamp set) in Versamark on a piece of scrap Very Vanilla; sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat with heat tool until shiny bright gold. New Baker's Box Thinlets - Meet Ms.Froggie

Hello, Ms. Froggie!

Last week we looked at Stampin'Up!'s new kit, All Boxed Up! We took a look at the contents and the results! I told you then that when you run out of pieces from the kit--you can use the Baker's Box Thinlets to create your own version of the baker's box!

Here's my version....Ms. Froggie!

Frog bakers box

Is she not the cutest little thing you ever saw? I'm going to explain how I made her and the list of supplies you will need, (later in this post you may want to look at the video that shows you how to use the thinlets and how to put the box together...the link is after the shopping list)

1. Cut 2 bakers box pieces from the Wild Wisabi cardstock; stamp these pieces with Dots for Days & Wild Wasabi Classic Ink.
2. Punch a 1 3/8" circle in the front side of one box piece (if you want you can cut a 2 X 2 piece of window sheets (#114323) and glue dot this to the backside of the hole. Or you can leave the hole open.
3. Assemble the box using Tear and Tape.
4. Punch the following and assemble the face: 2 3/8 scallop circle from Wild Wasabi cardstock, 2" circle from Whisper White cardstock (#100730), 3/4" circle from Wasabi, 1/2"circle from white cardstock, 1/4"handheld punch from scrap black cardstock.  To punch the smille, first punch 1 3/8" circle from wasabi--keep the waste piece---move your punch up slightly on one side until you see the smile form--punch this out and adhere to the face. Adhere the completed face to the top of the bakers box using dimensionals.
5. Punch 4 Ovals and 2 Petite Petals from Wasabi cardstock. For the legs, bend about 1/2" and adhere under the box (also glue dot the bottom of the leg to the box front. Glue the petite flowers under the legs for the feet.
6. Using the other 2 ovals, cut out chinks to form the arms and adhere to box front over the hole/tummy using multipurpose glue. Punch a petite petal from scrap Melan Mambo cardstock and adhere to the area where the arms meet over the tummy using glue dots. Adhere a Rhinestone to the center fo the flower.
7. Fill the 4 X 6 cello bag with candy--preferrably chocolate, tie with another piece of seam binding and place inside the box. Using about 14 inches of Pink Pirouette Seam Binding, tie the box handles together and form a bow over the face to look like a hair ribbon!

You are done!  If you are one of my hostesses during August and some in September--you will see this little Ms. Froggie again! Just Sayin!

Bakers Box Treat

Good Morning.

Today I'm going to show you a really cute treat box--great for party favors, little surprise gifts to brighten someone's day or even to put a gift card inside with a bit of chocolate--who doesn't want chocolate?  I'm going to give you the supply list and a video that shows you how to put this box together.

7-17-15 bakers box

I created this box using the Stampin'Up! All Boxed Up Kit that contains the supplies to create 10 cute containers. The box on the left is directly from the kit. The box on the right is jazzed up just a bit because I just can't leave well enough alone.

The boxes in the kit are already cut & scored--they also have adhesive in place.

I stamped the verse on a piece of scrap cardstock, punched it out with the 1 3/4 scalloped circle punch and attached it to the white circle (provided in the kit). I then punched out a bitty flower and adhered a rhinestone to the middle--attaching this to the top of the scalloped circle. The rest is provided in the kit.

Now if you run out of supplies in the kit (it makes 10) you may want to purchase the Bakers Box thinlets and some Tear and Tape and then you can create all the boxes you need from any color of cardstock and decorate them to your hearts content. Stop back by next week and I will have another Bakers Box using the thinlets.

Here's the supply list that you can purchase right now using the Shop Now button: Below this list is the link for the video.

Plus, if you are like me, seeing how the box goes together is worth a thousand words. I've provided a video link here for you to watch that will really help to see how this little cuties goes  together.

Quick & Easy Serene Silhouettes

I find myself often needing a quick and easy card design that is good for almost any occasion. I love this simple design that really meets most needs--birthdays, thinking of you, sympathy, just because...see what I mean. I can envision this for a multitude of occasions. You can even cut several sets of cardstock and just put them together at the last minute---or when you're watching TV, or talking on the phone (not that we don't totally concentrate on the conversations....just sayin'!)

  6-26-15 summer silhouettes

Here's how you create it.

1 Cut the following from Whisper white cardstock
    a. 4 1/4 X 11 (score at 5 1/2 on the 11 inch side) (card base)
    b. 5 1/4 X 4 (use Boho Chic embossing folder on this piece)
    c. 2 X 3 1/2
    d. 2 1/4 X 3 3/4
    e. 2 1/2 X 4
2. Using your Stampin'Write markers (Marina Mist & Old Olive) --don't forget to use the brush end and use the side of the marker--not the tip: color the flowers with Marina Mist and the greenery with Old Olive. Stamp the image on the 2 X 3 1/2 white cardstock.
3. With your 2-way glue pen, dab a bit of glue (it will be blue but dries clear) on the flowers and sprinkle with Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Let dry a couple of minutes.
4. Use a bit of scrap white cardstock and stamp the small butterfly (Papillon Potpourri) i--use your Marina Mist marker to color the stamp; punch out with Bitty Butterfly punch. Pinch the wings together slightly and attache to stamped image with a glue  dot.
5. Layer the white cardstock c, d, and e together with dimensionals. Adhere this unit to the "b" piece of cardstock with multipurpose liquid glue; attache this to the white cardstock card front using liquid glue.

You are done! See how easy that is?
