Quick & Easy Easter Baskets

We saw these little beauties at the classes this past weekend--they were door prizes. Several ladies wanted the directions to make the Easter baskets....so I thought I'd share them with everyone. (If you come to more classes before Easter...you may see them again!)

1

Start with a 6 X 6 piece of cardstock (I used Blushing Bride); score one side at 2 & 4 inches; turn cardstock 90 degrees and score again at 2 & 4 inches. I've used a pencil to enhance seeing the score marks

Using paper snips, cut the first square approximately 1/3 of the length up to the next score line, then approximately 2/3 of the length again....see the picture. (Repeat this on the last square of this side and repeat on the opposite side of the cardstock).  You now have 3 "fingers" on the first and last square on two opposite sides.

Mark the 1" point on the middle square of the first side and draw a line diagonally right down to the score line and then diagonally left down to the score line. Repeat on the opposite side.

Now, holding the "triangle" piece with one hand, start pulling up the first "finger" to the right and place it on top of the triangle. Pull up the first finger on the left side and hold these in place. Repeat with the next finger on the right side, then left side until all fingers are used. punch through with a paper piercer and use a silver mini brad to hold in place.

6

Repeat with the opposite side,

Cut a piece of blushing bride cardstock 1/2" X 8" and attach inside the basket with glue dots.

Basket is done and you can decorate with anything your imagination can dream up! I used the Pansy Punch, Petite Petals Punch, and of course some glimmer (Basic Rhinestones).

Displaying your Memories

How do you display your memories?  Do you box them up and stuff them under the bed (when I went to college, that was my Dad's answer to every storage problem!)? Do you shoebox them and put them in a closet on the shelf?  Do you keep them on your smart phone? Do you keep them cached on your computer?

How's that working for you--do you enjoy looking through them with your family and friends? If you keep them on your smart phone--do you spend 10 minutes trying to find the picture you want to show them?  Do your kids know what their grands, aunts/uncles, cousins looked like when they were young? Do they know what you looked like when you were young?

Wouldn't it be nice to have some of those special memories in a nice orderly presentation that is in easy reach and available to share at just the right moment with your family and friends?

I can help you get there in a very short time....you can ask a few of your friends to bring a handful of pictures, come to my studio and we'll experience the magic of getting those photos in a lovely arrangement, quickly, easily, and (this is best of all) inexpensively!

I have a method to keep you on track and not get bogged down in lots of details--this means that you will get those memories documented fast--it will make the activity so much fun--you'll want to share it with everyone you know--let me show you how  easy this method is.

Take a look at this page below--this was created in a matter of minutes--imagine getting an entire album completed in a few short hours....then you will have time to go out and create some more great memories!

But, you say, I love to do traditional scrapbooking too! No worries, you can always create a lovely intro page to a section of photos...for example, here's a traditional scrap page I just created--I can use this to begin a series of photos celebrating a family event....then follow with several pages containing tons of pictures like the one above...this is YOUR memory album, you can create it in any way that brings you pleasure.

I think you will find that this new method of displaying your memories will solve your problems of
*How to get started...where to begin
*What to do with all those pictures
*How to do it without spending hours and hours and (let's face it) days of work
*Keep in inexpensive so that you will still have dollars to spend on making new memories

Sale-a-bration is zooming on...Nature's Perfection Stamp Set

I want to show you another great product from the Sale-a-bration selection of FREE products you can choose when you make a purchase of $50 in product (excludes shipping and tax)....

This week I want to feature....

Nature's Perfection Stamp Set (Item 139097 [w])

Nothing is more perfect than nature. Share that perfection with the Nature's Perfection Stamp Set. This five-piece set coordinates perfectly with our Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack (Item 138639) and is ideal for coloring. You can also easily punch out the butterfly image using the Elegant Butterfly Punch (AC p. 219). Do you remember the card I designed last week --it showcased the Sheer Perfection Vellum (another SAB freebie).

Here are a couple of samples using the Nature's Perfection stamps (artwork by P. Bennett and S Meyer):

Sale-a-bration Free Stamp Sets

Sale-a-bration is going strong. Last week 4 new options for free items arrived! What a terrific surprise. One of these is...

Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack (Item 138639)

Sheer perfection is spelled v-e-l-l-u-m. This 6" x 6" stack of translucent vellum paper, in 12 different designs (2 sheets per design), is perfectly sized for cards-no measuring or cutting needed! And since many of the designs are line art or brush stroke, it's also perfect for just showing off a pop of color underneath. The gorgeous designs coordinate with Nature's Perfection Stamp Set (Item 139097 [w])-another bonus Sale-A-Bration product only available through March 31!

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this great product..so here's a card I created by using Stampin'Write markers on the  back side of the vellum. I use glue  dots under the flowers (so you can't see them through the vellum--works like a charm!) Notice the greeting is from one of the new sets For Being You (139120 Clear)

Then here are a couple more samples...

(Artwork by M. Byler and L. Mahon)

Now, having seen these beautiful samples, don't you want to get a pack (well, maybe even more that one pack) of the printed vellum?

Here are some additional ideas for using this super printed vellum:
-just adhere it to the front of the white card (no coloring). Add a greeting using your favorite punch
-layer the card front with our favorite Bright or Subtle collection cardstock--again no coloring
-cut out some of the larger and small flowers and cluster them on the card front--through the card center or in one of the corners--add a greeting
-add glitter to accent some of the images with 2-way glue....

OK, now you let me know what you are doing with it---if you send me a picture of your creation, I'll feature it here on my blog (you too can become famous!)

Remember, for each $50 you purchase of product (exclude shipping and tax), you can select any FREE item from the SAB mini or any of the 4 new options.  If you need a brochure or a mini for your selections, just contact me and I'll get that right to you.

AND, drum roll, please...

Don't forget you have 3 more weeks to earn Sandi's SAB Bonus---don't remember what that is....click on the Rewards button and read about all the free stuff you can get from me!

Don't  delay, we only have 3 more weeks to take advantage of this wonderful time of  FREE STUFF!!
