What a crappy picture!!!

What a crappy picture!!!  Yes, it is and I apologize for it even though I tried everything I could think of to capture the glimmer of these Stampin'Up! Shimmer paints....I probably should have ditched this post but the actual results are so gorgeous that I want to explain how to do it and I want you to try it so you can see the dazzle yourself.

There's a secret sauce that I'll explain in a bit but first I'll show you the 'raw' painted paper and then the card....if you can imagine this paper with a sheen and shimmer all over the surface you'll begin to imagine how gorgeous this turns out.... 3 paintsWhat you can get an impression of is  mix of Vegas Gold and Bright Copper---then over the top of this is an overall coating of Champagne Mist--this gives the entire piece that extra gorgeous sheen....which I admit you cannot see in this picture and no amount of maneuvering or changing of lights would capture what I want you to see.

Here's the resulting card

Card2Yes, it's a nice card but you have to imagine the sparkly glimmer and sheen of these shimmer paints...please come see the sample or ask me for a small sample and I'll mail one to you...it's got to be seen to be believed!!!

I'll give you the simple directions below and a list of supplies....remember to use this month's host code (CAT2BCAH) if you place an online order--for each $50 in product that you purchase I'll give you $5 in Stampin'Up! product.

*Lastly sponge the entire piece with Champagne Shimmer paint & dry.

Graceful Glass Designer Vellum- Simple & Elegant

Today we'll design a card with Graceful Glass Designer Vellum -- Simple & Elegant. The Designer Vellum is printed with black embossed images that alone are gorgeous, but when you add a bit of color to the underside of the design--becomes "simply elegant." 8-28-18 flowrs

Because the vellum has 12 single-sided designs (you get 2 of each design) there are endless possibiities for creating elegant cards. For today's card I used 1/4 of a sheet (meaning you can get 4 cards from a single sheet of vellum with this design).

I used the Blends (alcohol markers) on the back side of the vellum to provide that beautiful hint of color (you can color the front and get a bit more vivid color). I layer a piece of white cardstock under the vellum to give it that sharp contrast but you can mellow it down by leaving the vellum un-backed for a very soft effect.

I'll give you the directions to create this quick and easy card followed by the supply list so you can purchase your supplies to re-create this lovely card.

Remember. during August you will receive a $5 coupon from Stampin'Up! (for redemption in September) for each $50 in product that you purchase.  Make sure Stampin'Up! has your most current email address.

Card directions:

1. Cut 4 1/4 X 11 Poppy Parage cardstock, score the long side at 5 1/2 (card base)

2. On Whisper White cardstock stamp "happy birthday" (Southern Serenade stamp set) in Stazon Jet Black ink; punch out with 1 3/4 Circle punch, adhere 3 rhinestones. Cut 2 X 2 Basic Black cardstock, adhere circle with liquid glue. Adhere to card front with liquid glue (see photo for placement)

3. Cut strip of vellum from Designer paper (see photo for selection), trim top and bottom to make strip 5 1/2 long; color back of vellum with the following Blends: Calypso Coral Light, Old Olive Dark, Pool Party Dark.

4. Cut Whisper White cardstock 1 5/8 X 5 1/2; adhere vellum with glue dots (hint: place glue dots behind the colored flowers to avoid seeing these through the vellum. Cut black cardstock 1 3/4 X 5 1/2--adhere to back of white cardstock with liquid glue. Adhere this unit to card front next to the verse.

Today we're still using the same Delightfully Detailed Memories & More Card Pack and the Whisper White Memories & More Cards & Envelopes (small size today). 148040G
148040G
Here's the card I selected because I didn't need to get out any stamps--the greeting is included: Small celebrate today cardAnd, here's the Faster than Fastest Birtthday Card Ever: Small celebrate today decorated

I cut a 3 1/8 X 4 1 /8 Calypso Coral cardstock layer---glued it to the back of the card with liquid glue.; adhere this unit to the small Whisper White Memories & More Card. Added 3 Glitter Enamel dots and--called it Done! (Don't forget the envelopes are included)

Fastest Birthday Card Ever!

Today I'm going to share with you the Fastest Birthday Card Ever! Those Memories and More cards come in super handy when you need to get a card done super quick and still have it look awesome..the card set I used for today's card is the Delightfully Detailed set.... 147038G

There are 50 total double sided designs and some laser cuts.  The sizes are 4 X 6 and 3 X 4. Now here's the super part---you don't even have to cut card bases because now Stampin'Up! has Large and Small Memories & More Whisper White cards & Envelopes that these M&M cards fit on exactly with no extra cutting on the card. And you don't have to worry about envelopes--they are included.  You may remember that when we used the large cards previously we had to cut them down to the 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 size to fit nicely on the regular sized card base---no more--just grab the M&M card base and you are ready to go!

148040GOK, here's the M&M card that I started with: Large hbd cardNow this would have been just fine for a quick and simple card--just adhere it to the card base and you are done!

But just add a bit more bling and a red layer base and you get the stepped up version: Large hbd decorated

I cut a Real Red cardstock layer 4 1/8 X 6 1/8, adhered that to the back of the M&M card--then adhered that to the M&M Large card with liquid glue. Then punched 2 Four Petal Flowers (new punch) and layered them with dimensionals and adhered to the card with another dimensional--there's a clear faceted gem as the flower center. Added 3 of the new Candle embellishments to the lower card front--they already have adhesive on the back! And there you have a really awesome card that only took less that a couple of minutes to assemble! Not bad, right?

Also, you can just use the Whisper White Memories & More Cards and Envelopes for your own card designing! Great base to just be able to start stamping!

Here's the supply list--click on the Shop Now button on this page or on one of the images below and you'll be in my store. Order your supplies now and if you use this month's host code (BBBRN4DK) you'll receive from me $5 in Stampin'Up! product for each $50 in product that you purchase. So order now!

It's All New!

Today we're going to play with something---It's All New! We've been waiting so long to get our hands on some of the new stuff out of the big new Stampin'Up! catalog. (If you haven't received your new catalog, contact me right away 410 836 8016 or sandihartka@sandilovesstamping.com and I'll get yours in the mail to you!)

So here it is.... Note card

I'm using some pre-colored Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes--that makes the stamping go really quickly. The focal point is from the Varied Vases Bundle--a cute little stamp set and its coordinating punch--yes, I said punch---it's really awesome and you can do tons of variations with it and the stamp set.

I'm going to give you the directions followed by a list of supplies...remember...

You can begin placing orders from the new big Stampin'Up! catalog about 2PM Eastern time today (6/1/18)
If you place your order online and use this month's Host code (BBBRN4DK), you will receive $5 in product for each $50 in product that you order online using this host code--that's an extra 10% value for you!

Here's the directions:

1. Stamp the " scalloped table top" in Stazon Jet Black ink on the Bermuda Bay watercolored Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes.

2. Punch a vase from Bermuda Bay cardstock using the Vases Builder punch. "Sit" this on the table top and with a pencil mark the top of the vase.

3. Using the stem (Varied Vases stamp set) stamp 2 stems in Stazon Black ink (#101406) that end in the vase "line" you drew --I recommend laying a piece of copy paper right below the line so that you don't have to worry about the stems extending outside the vase.

4. Add the punched vase to the table top using mini dimensionals--position so the stems are sticking out the vase top.

5. Punch two tulips from Lovely Lipstick cardstock and using mini dimensionals add these to the stamped stems.

6. Stamp Hello (Varied Vases stamp set) in Stazon Black ink --see card for placement.

Your notecard is ready for sending!

Here is a list of the products we used---hit the Shop Now button (after 2PM today 6/1/18) to order your supplies:
